Logistics system

A novel logistics system (1000) featuring a load carrier (100) and a cooperating superstructure (200) is proposed for transporting parcels. The load carrier has a deck (110) with a top load carrying surface (111) and a flank (112). The load carrier also has a plurality of locking protuberances (114) that extend from and are arranged spaced apart from one another on the load carrying surface (111) of the deck (110). The superstructure is a merchandising unit that is made of sheet material. The superstructure has first section (230) which is configured to extend from the load carrying surface (111) of the load carrier (100). The superstructure also has a plurality of receptive cavities (221) for receiving the respective plurality of locking protuberances (114) of the load carrier (100).

APPARATUS FOR SUPPORTING A SPOOL OF GLASS AND METHOD FOR USING THE APPARATUS IN COMBINATION WITH A CLEAN ROOM

A glass support apparatus (203) includes a frame including a plurality of walls defining an interior space extending along a frame axis. The glass support apparatus includes a first surface (227) positioned within the interior space and a second surface (229) positioned within the interior space and spaced apart from the first surface. The first surface and the second surface are non-parallel and converging. The glass support apparatus includes a closure (213) attached to one or more of the plurality of walls. The closure moves between an opened position, in which the interior space is in fluid communication with an exterior of the frame, and a closed position. Methods of porting a spool of glass are provided.

Shipping system for temperature-sensitive materials

Shipping system for temperature-sensitive materials. In one embodiment, the shipping system includes a frame defining an enclosure. The frame includes a bottom, a top, a front, a rear, a left side, a right side, a left corner gusset, and a right corner gusset. The front serves as a door. Thermal breaks are provided in one or more of the bottom, the front, the left corner gusset, and the right corner gusset. Vacuum insulated panels are positioned along all sides of the frame. Many of the vacuum insulated panels are encapsulated between the frame and an outer shell. A plurality of phase-change material assemblies are positioned within the frame along all sides. Heat-spreaders are positioned interior to the phase-change material assemblies. The shipping system are dimensioned so that four such shipping systems are seated on a prorate manual cargo sheet.

Packing body

A packing module includes a packed body and a packing body configured to accommodate the packed body. The packing body includes a bottom plate on which the packed body is placed, a box body that covers the packed body, and a restricting member, of which one end is fixed to the bottom plate and the other end protrudes toward a base body of the packed body with a gap and that restricts lateral movement of the packed body by coming into contact with the base body of the packed body in a case where the packed body has moved laterally. The restricting member is configured to penetrate through a hole provided in the base body of the packed body. Clearance between the restricting member and the hole of the base body is larger than a gap between an inner surface of the box body and the packed body.
