A container includes a sidewall, a bottom and a rim portion, which are integrally formed or connected with each other. The rim portion includes an inner wall and an outer wall. The inner and outer walls are spaced from each other and connected to each other by an extension. An interior opening is defined by the inner wall of the rim portion, the sidewall and the bottom. An exterior opening is formed between the inner and outer walls and the extension. The exterior opening is sized and configured to receive a sidewall of a lid when the container is used with the lid to form a package. The outer wall has a tamper-evident foldable section with first and second ends. The first end is configured to fold back toward and secure to a second end so as to expose the sidewall of the lid.

A food container includes a body and a lid assembly. The lid assembly includes a rotating part, a base part, and at least one slide part. The rotating part defines a center axis and includes at least one protrusion offset from the center axis. The base part is coupled to the rotating part and defines a curved aperture. The at least one protrusion of the rotating part extends through the base part via the curved aperture. The least one slide part is coupled to the base part and includes a slide aperture. The protrusion of the rotating part extends into the slide aperture and selectively engages with the slide part. A movement of the rotating part is configured to cause a movement of the slide part.

The base defines an elliptic-shaped base opening and a base chamber having two conjugate diameters D.sub.1 and D.sub.2 proximate the base opening. The lid defines an elliptic-shaped lid opening and a lid chamber having the two conjugate diameters D.sub.1 and D.sub.2 proximate the lid opening. The diameter D.sub.1 extends in a direction of the first horizontal axis and the diameter D.sub.2 extends in a direction of the second horizontal axis. A ratio of D.sub.1 to D.sub.2 is greater than 1. The container also includes grips for manually mixing the contents within the base and lid chambers by rotating the container about the second horizontal axis.

The housing protects the squeeze pouch or drink box from pressure that could cause food or beverages to exit the spout of the squeeze pouch. A cover may be used in conjunction with the holder.
