CONTAINER FOR TRANSPORT AND STORAGE OF FOOD PRODUCTS
Systems and methods for providing compostable food containers which preserve the quality of a food product for an extended duration of time, and which optionally allow for cooking of the food product therein. In some implementations, the food containers are sturdy, stackable, insulating, and require minimal or no manual labor to assemble. In some implementations, the food container includes a base and a cover which cooperate to form a closed chamber for supporting, protecting, insulating and optionally cooking a food product, such as a pizza. The base and cover may each be formed of a single layer of material including, but not limited to, molded sugarcane fiber (“bagasse”), molded wood fiber, molded bamboo fiber, molded paper or plastic.
Lid and method of using a lid
The lid includes a body having a top surface and a bottom surface, the top surface includes a groove therein separating an inner portion and an outer portion. The lid also includes a flexible skirt integrally joined to and carried by the outer periphery edge of the body. The groove defines a flexible zone which permits the flexible skirt to flip between a first position and a second position. The method of using the lid includes the step of positioning the lid with the flexible skirt in a second position above an open end of a container. The method further includes the step of securing the lid and the container together by moving the flexible skirt from the second position to a first position to cause engagement of the flexible skirt with the container thereby forming a removable attachment and a substantial seal between the lid and the container.
LID FOR TOBACCO CAN
A metal lid for a tobacco can is provided. The metal lid includes a circular lid top having a central recess and a shoulder. The shoulder extends radially outwardly from and vertically above the central recess. The side wall is unitarily formed with the shoulder, depends downwardly from the shoulder, and is disposed below the central recess of the lid top. The side wall includes a bead and a hem. The bead extends circumferentially around the side wall. The hem is formed from a distal portion of the side wall folded over onto an intermediate portion of the side wall. The hem functions as a guide, forms a safety edge, and permits the lid to be more easily grasped by a consumer.
LID FOR DRINKS CAN
The invention relates to a lid for drinks cans or the like, which is arranged and fixed over the annular upper projection of drinks cans, as a result of its general circular form that has a peripheral wing extending downwards and into the inside space as if tucked in, defining an inner stepped portion into which the upper annular edge of the can fits. Furthermore, an annular protrusion is defined on the upper surface of the lid, of a height and dimensions such that it defines an inner space wherein the annular protuberance of the cans fits, allowing the cans to be stacked in a stable and balanced manner.
METHOD, DEVICE AND APPARATUS FOR PREPARING A BEVERAGE WITH A LIQUID IMMERSIBLE BAG WITH A DESIRED STEEP TIME
The present invention relates to a method, device and apparatus for preparing a beverage with a liquid immersible bag with a desired steep time. The measurement and indication of the steep time of a beverage packaged in a disposable immersible bag is accomplished with the use of chromatography paper and color indicators. The proper combination of type, thickness, size and shape of chromatography paper used allows for the pre-setting of different desired steep times. Chromatography paper becomes translucent when wet and attached colors become visible to indicate the progress and the completion of the desired steep time.
SECURITY COVER FOR BEVERAGE CANS AND OTHER CONTAINERS
A security cover system and apparatus for beverage cans and other containers. The system includes a security cap that is installed upon the top of an unopened container for containing an adult beverage or the like. The cap is adapted for secure installation upon the top of a container having a top with a circumferential rim, such as an aluminum beverage can. The cap has catches engagable with the rim of the container. The system includes an opener tool with a specially shaped key portion thereon. The opener engages with a complementary slot in the cap to permit an authorized person, using the opener tool, to remove the cap from the container.
Cover with a seal for closing a can, and assembly comprising a can and such a cover
The invention relates to a lid (1) for closing a can having a tubular side wall (3) provided with a top opening and with an internal radial collar disposed substantially at the same level as said top opening, said lid (1) being provided on its “bottom” face (2) with an elastically deformable annular sealing gasket (4) that is suitable for coming to bear against said collar, when the top opening of the can is in the closed state in which it is closed by said lid (1). In the non-deformed state, said sealing gasket (4) is in the general shape of a half-torus having its convex side facing outwards from the lid (1).
Method for preparing a pulp molded cup lid with buckles without overlapping curves on both surfaces
A method for preparing a pulp molded cup lid with buckles without overlapping curves on both surfaces, comprising: diluting plant fiber into pulp and placing it into a forming mold with a filter screen to form a paper embryo through vacuum adsorption; assembling the forming mold with a transfer mold under no pressure for vacuumization to obtain a paper embryo; transferring the paper embryo into a heat setting mold without mesh screen and assembling the mold under no pressure to obtain a cup lid body with stiffening ribs; then stamping into a finished cup lid. The cup lid has smooth internal and external surfaces without overlapping curves and no paper fiber dissolved out at the places where the internal surface and the liquid contact and the suction port and the labial part of the user contact; buckles improves the strength of the cup lid and the leakproofness.
Container Holder Apparatus and System and Method for Attaching a Holder and a Lid to a Container
A device for holding a container having a bead around an opening is provided. The device includes a handle and at least two curved elements extending from the handle, with each curved element including an upper section sized to be positionable adjacent to the container bead. A clamping apparatus is located on a portion of the handle, with the clamping apparatus having a moveable clamping element structured to contact the container bead.
AIRFLOW COOLING LID
In the field of lids for beverage containers, an airflow cooling lid for hot beverage containers that enables the user to cool down the beverage in the container by blowing outside air across the surface of the beverage without removal of the lid. The airflow cooling lid comprises a circular cover snuggly placed over a hot beverage container having a mounting rim, a surface portion, a drinking opening in form of an opening for consuming the beverage and an exhaust opening to be used as either the intake or exhaust portal for the air drawn over the surface of the beverage. Either or both the drinking opening or the exhaust opening may be angled outward to allow the exhaust air to flow away from the face when blowing through either portal.
