Insect trap lid for disposable cups and drinking cans
11702253 · 2023-07-18 ·

A lid releasably connects to the rim of a container, such as a soda can or a disposable cup, and functions with the container as an effective insect trap. In operation, the lid is attached to the top of the container with a funnel positioned over and extending towards the topside of the container such that an insect attracted to sugars within the can may crawl or fly from the surrounding space into the funnel and enter the container through the bottom of the funnel and thereby become trapped in the container. The sidewall of the lid can have multiple tiers that fit different sized cans or cups or can have a single tier. Regardless of the number of tiers in the sidewall, the sidewall's riser portion that fits over the container's rim is vertical and its interior surface does not have any concavity so no water-tight seal is formed.

Drink cup lid

A container includes a cup and a lid. The lid is adapted to mate with a brim included in the cup to close a top aperture opening into an interior liquid-storage region formed in the cup.

Container Lid

A lid for a container holding a flowable contents comprising a first section brim mount member, unitarily molded and reversibly securely sealed onto an upper end rim of a container forming a raised ring-shaped crown portion with two opposing drinking access ports, circumscribing a second elevated recessed planar region forming a recessed centrally configured hatch opening in the top wall. A second section hatch cover member is unitarily molded, sized and shaped to concentrically fit over, and reversibly securely seal the recessed hatch opening in a co-planar configuration. The hatch cover member is securely and reversibly joined in a non-permanent manner to the top wall of the brim mount member via a ball and socket-type hinge pivoting the hatch cover member quickly and reliably about an axis line parallel to the top wall of the brim mount member rotatably between a closed position and an opened position.

Hinged Closure Including an Alignment Fin
20230020391 · 2023-01-19 ·

Hinged closures for containers are provided. The hinged closures allow for easy alignment in the correct position during reclosure. The closure can include a hinge, a sealing lip positioned on an underside of a top wall of the closure, and at least one fin that is at least partially affixed to an interior edge of the sealing lip. Multiple fins can be included. The closure can also include a plurality of radial reinforcing ribs.

Locking mechanism for container and lid thereof

A locking mechanism for container and lid thereof may include a container and a lid, and the peripheral edge of the upper opening of the container has a first periphery edge. At least two first coupling portions, which are located at symmetric positions, and at least two second coupling portions, which are located at symmetric positions, outwardly protrude from the first periphery edge respectively. The lid comprises a second peripheral edge at the outer periphery thereof, and the inner surface of the second peripheral edge is configured to couple with and cover the first peripheral edge of the container. At least two first connecting portions respectively protrude from the second peripheral edge at symmetric positions, and at least two second connecting portions, which are located at symmetric positions, outwardly protrude from the second periphery edge respectively.

CUP LID

A lid may be attached to the lip of a cup having a lip and restrict out-flow of liquid from the cup. The lid may provide a top surface, an annular wall extending down from the top surface, and an annular groove below the annular wall. The top surface may include a rim portion around a central depression, defining a drink hole and, within the lid, an edge channel communicating with the drink hole. The lid may include an arcuate barrier under the edge channel, formed either separately or integrally with the other structure of the lid, providing two inlets to a closed conduit portion of the edge channel.

A drink cup lid includes a ring-shaped brim mount adapted to mate with a brim of a drink cup and a central closure surrounded by the ring-shaped brim mount and including an annular top wall formed to include a top aperture and an adjacent liquid-discharge outlet. The drink cup lid further includes an outlet closure configured to close the liquid-discharge outlet.

Receptacle

The receptacle has a container (1) which is intended for receiving products that form condensation when warm, for example food products or the like, and which can be closed by a lid (2). In order that the container (1) can be closed and placed in the refrigerator for cooling and storage purposes straight after being filled with the still-warm product, the receptacle has at least one opening (3), which is provided in an annular wall (11) of the lid (2) and can be closed by at least one closure part (4). In the fitted position, the lid (2) and/or the closure part (4) can be adjusted relative to one another. If warm products, for example warm food products, are introduced into the receptacle, then the opening (3) is at least partly opened, so that, as the warm product cools down, the steam which forms can escape. This prevents any relatively large quantities of condensation from forming in the container.

Variable Volume Evacuable Container
20230211937 · 2023-07-06 ·

A variable volume evacuable container has a closed bottom, an open top, and a spirally threaded inner wall extending therebetween. A lid configured to threadably engage the inner wall has a top surface, a perimeter, a bottom surface, and a funneling volume within the perimeter and below the bottom surface. A duct is defined through the top and bottom surfaces at the apex of the funneling volume, and a moveable baffle is coupled to the top surface to cover or uncover the duct. The bottom surface slopes continuously upward to the apex so that downward rotation of the lid against contained liquid forces air out of the duct until the liquid fills the funneling volume, allowing the baffle to seal the liquid from air by covering the duct.
