In an embodiment, the multifunction lid may additionally include an opening for drinking or sipping directly through the lid. In an embodiment, the lid may include an operable cover for covering at least one of the openings in a first position and for allowing access to the fluid through the opening in a second position. In a further embodiment, the lid may include a plurality of operable covers. A first operable cover may be configured for covering the drinking straw opening in a first position and allowing insertion of a straw in a second position. The lid may also include an operable cover for covering the sipping spout in a first position and allowing drinking directly through the spout in a second position.

Ventilated lid for insulated container

A lid for an insulated container comprises a flexible gasket configured to facilitate a seal between the lid and an inner wall of the insulated container, and further configured to expand into an interior compartment of the insulated container responsive to a vacuum developing in the interior compartment. A diaphragm chamber is situated opposite the flexible gasket from the interior compartment when the lid is fully engaged with the insulated container. One or more air channels couple the diaphragm chamber to an exterior of the lid. The development of a vacuum in the interior compartment of the insulated container draws a force on the flexible gasket, thereby reducing pressure in the diaphragm chamber. The negative pressure in diaphragm chamber is back-filled with external air, which enters the lid via the air channels. The lid may then be removed without excessive vacuum forces.

Drink cup lid

A liquid container includes a cup having a brim forming an opening into an interior region of the cup. The container also includes a lid configured to mount on the brim of the cup to close the opening.

The present disclosure is related to jars and containers and, more particularly, to the manufacture of readily recyclable jars and containers. An exemplary jar is comprised of an aluminum base and a first aluminum inner cup provided with a first cavity defined with the aluminum base. An outer thread is provided about an exterior surface of the aluminum base, and an aluminum lid with a second aluminum inner cup is provided within a second cavity defined within the aluminum lid. An inner thread mateable with the outer thread is provided about an interior surface of the second aluminum inner cup. A method of manufacturing readily recyclable jars can comprise providing a primary metal material and optionally applying a precoating to the primary metal material. The primary metal material may be formed into a jar with mating threads and a lid with mating threads. The primary metal material may optionally be finished. A liner may optionally be inserted. The lid and jar are then assembled, and a plastic cup may optionally be installed.

CHILD SAFETY COVER FOR USE WITH VARIOUS TYPES OF PACKAGING AND CONTAINERS

A child safety lid is provided and used to close the opening of content containers including rigid and flexible containers/bags. The cover requires a multiple step process in order to be removed and helps to prevent inadvertent or accidental openings of the container. The lid/cover can comprise a top member, a locking member, a bottom member and a seal member. The top member can be secured to the bottom member with the locking member captured therebetween and the seal member can extend downward from the bottom member and contact an internal shelf/ledge disposed within the container near the container opening. In one embodiment, the seal member and bottom member can be bonded to each other through an overmolding process. In one embodiment, the seal can be constructed from an elastomer material.
