20210403205 · 2021-12-30 ·

The present disclosure relates generally to containers and container lids. In at least one embodiment, the disclosed containers and container lids include an improved seal structure that forms a liquid-tight seal. For example, in certain embodiments, the improved seal structure is included on a built-in ring around the rim of the container. In some embodiments, the improved seal structure is included on a separate container ring for attaching to a container. In these embodiments, the contents of the container may be poured out of the container such that virtually no excess content is trapped in-between seams.

PAPER LID

CONTAINER ASSEMBLIES AND METHODS OF HEATING AND COOLING CONTENTS THEREOF
20210221581 · 2021-07-22 ·

Container assemblies and methods suitable for cooking, transporting, and storing the contents of the container assemblies while maintaining the contents therein at a desired temperature. Such a container assembly includes a container having a lower wall, side walls, and an opening opposite the lower wall that provides access to a cavity within the container. The container assembly further includes a lid configured to releasably attach to the side walls and thereby enclose the cavity to define a storage compartment. A thermal mass is coupled to an interior side of the lid such that at least a portion of the thermal mass faces and is exposed to the storage compartment when the lid is attached to the container. The thermal mass is configured to be heated to an elevated temperature or cooled to a reduced temperature and maintain the elevated or reduced temperature for a period of time.

A container includes a molded fiber tray at least partially defining a tray internal volume. The tray includes a perimeter wall extending upward from a bottom tray surface, a rest extending outward from the perimeter wall, a parapet extending upward from the rest, and a tray build-up projecting inward from the parapet. The tray build-up and the rest at least partially define a gap therebetween. The container includes a molded fiber lid at least partially defining a lid internal volume. The lid includes a perimeter wall extending downward from a lid upper surface, and a ridge extending downward from the perimeter wall. The ridge includes an outer ridge wall, a lateral surface extending inward from the outer ridge wall, and a lid build-up projecting outward from the outer ridge wall. The lid build-up is configured to be received in the gap when the container is in a closed condition.

Container and container lid with built-in brine disc
10919673 · 2021-02-16 · ·

The present disclosure relates generally to containers and container lids. In at least one embodiment, the disclosed containers and container lids provide a liquid-tight seal without the use of gaskets, and can facilitate full submersion of solid items when the container is filled with liquid. For example, in certain embodiments, a container lid includes a brine disc panel with alternating hatched patterns of downward protruding ridges. Thus, in these embodiments, liquids within the container can pass between the protruding ridges (e.g., with the protruding ridges extending downwardly into the liquid) and the protruding ridges may keep solids that tend to float in the liquid below a surface of the liquid.

Storage container with stopper structure
11053052 · 2021-07-06 ·

A storage container includes a container body and a lid that has a first lid portion, a second lid portion, and a hinge portion between the first and second lid portions. Two sides of the hinge portion are formed with a first inclined surface connected to the first lid portion and a second inclined surface connected to the second lid portion, respectively. The first inclined surface is provided with at least one first engaging unit. An outer wall surface of the first engaging unit has a first stopper. The first stopper is parallel to or perpendicular to a horizontal plane of the lid. The second inclined surface is provided with at least one second engaging unit. An inner wall surface of the second engaging unit has a second stopper. The second stopper is perpendicular to or parallel to the horizontal plane, and is perpendicular to the first stopper.

STORAGE CONTAINER SYSTEMS INCLUDING CONTAINERS AND CORRESPONDING LIDS

A container system includes a container having a plurality of sidewalls and a rim extending from the sidewalls at a top of the container. The rim of the container includes a first sealing part and a second sealing part. Parts of the rim extend along arcs as viewed from above the container. The container system also includes a lid for sealing the container, with the lid having a rim that includes a first sealing part that is configured to contact the first sealing part of the rim of the container to form a first sealing area, and a second sealing part that is configured to contact the second sealing part of the rim of the container to form a second sealing area. Parts of the rim of the lid extend along arcs as viewed from above the lid. The container may be tightly sealed by the lid.

VENTILATED LID FOR INSULATED CONTAINER

A lid for an insulated container comprises a flexible gasket configured to facilitate a seal between the lid and an inner wall of the insulated container, and further configured to expand into an interior compartment of the insulated container responsive to a vacuum developing in the interior compartment. A diaphragm chamber is situated opposite the flexible gasket from the interior compartment when the lid is fully engaged with the insulated container. One or more air channels couple the diaphragm chamber to an exterior of the lid. The development of a vacuum in the interior compartment of the insulated container draws a force on the flexible gasket, thereby reducing pressure in the diaphragm chamber. The negative pressure in diaphragm chamber is back-filled with external air, which enters the lid via the air channels. The lid may then be removed without excessive vacuum forces.
