A container system, including a base with a rim having a pair of protrusions on opposite sides of the base extending into the base; and a lid having a peripheral outer rim. The lid includes a pair of partial peripheral troughs positioned radially inward of the outer rim, ends of the partial peripheral troughs being spaced apart to form a pair of peripheral gaps on opposite sides of the lid to receive the pair of protrusions of the base to attach the lid to the base. The lid has a hinge about which the lid folds as a first part of the lid is lifted to provide access to the interior volume of the base while a second part of the lid on an opposite side of the hinge remains attached to the base.

A lid for a beverage container includes a lid housing with a drink opening, a slider member, and a seal assembly. The seal assembly has a seal arm, a seal and a spring. The slider member slides linearly about the lid housing. A cam pivotally connected to the slider member engages the seal arm. The slider member and cam operate to move the seal arm from an open position to a sealed position. A tamper evident container includes a cover having a first interlocking flange with a first tab for opening and closing the container and a first extension joined to the first tab along a frangible score line, a base having a second interlocking flange with a second tab for opening and closing the container and a second extension joined to the second tab along a frangible score line, the first extension including one or more first interlocking elements and the second extension including one or more second interlocking elements, where the first and second interlocking elements, when securely fastened together, prevent access to the first and second tabs, and require more force to separate than to sever the first and second extensions along the frangible score lines.

A leak resistant lid assembly for a beverage container where the lid assembly has a straw or similar means for a user to drink liquid is disclosed. The lid assembly may include a base, a straw that extends through the base, a gasket, and a grommet. The base may have a primary opening that receives the straw and a secondary opening in the top of the base, where the secondary opening acts as a vent to prevent a vacuum from occurring when drinking from a straw. The grommet may have a spiral ring may help create a flow path for air from inside the beverage container to the exterior environment.

A food package for sliced food products to be maintained with a fluffed appearance, the package including a rigid base member forming a compartment for receiving the food product and a rigid lid sealed to the compartment. Advantageously, the base member includes a bottom wall and side wall portions that are configured to engage the food product to hold the slices in a fluffed arrangement thereof. Preferably, one or more tapered side wall portions hold the food product upwardly toward the lid and inwardly toward a center of the package. In preferred embodiments, the base member and lid provide a rigid-rigid construction of the food package. In preferred embodiments, the food package is also configured to stand-up in a vertical display orientation and does not require the food product be contained within a sealed pouch within the compartment.
