Aspects of the disclosure relate to a package, an article carrier for packaging a plurality of articles and to a blank for forming the article carrier. The article carrier comprises a plurality of panels forming a tubular structure for surrounding at least one article having a recess. The article carrier comprises an article retention device for engaging the recess of one of said at least one article to inhibit dislodgement of the article from at least one of opposite open ends of the tubular structure. The article retention device comprises a flap hingedly connected to one of the plurality of panels.

A carton for packaging one or more articles, includes a top panel, first and second side panels, a bottom panel, and at least one display window for displaying at least one article. The at least one display window is struck at least in part from at least one of the side panels. The at least one display window is interrupted by a retention strap for engaging at least one article.

A carton of the gable top style for packaging one or more articles. The carton includes a plurality of panels for forming walls of the carton including: a first side panel; a first end panel having an upper portion and a lower portion; a web panel formed from part of the upper portion and hinged to the first side panel. The carton is convertible from a flat collapsed form into an erected form. In the flat collapsed form, the first side panel is disposed in an overlying or face to face relationship with the first end panel. In the erected form, the first side panel and the first end panel form walls of a tubular structure and define at least in part an interior of the carton for receiving one or more articles.

An aspect of the invention provides a corner folding arrangement comprising a first panel (18) having a corner defined by an end edge and a side edge. A second panel (32b) is hingedly connected to the end edge of the first panel along a first fold line. A third panel (20) hingedly connected to the side edge of the first panel along a second fold line. A fourth (34b) and fifth (36b) panel couple the second panel to the third panel. The fourth panel is hingedly connected to the second panel along a third fold line and the fifth panel is hingedly connected to the third panel along a fourth fold line. The carton includes at least one article retention structure (L) for engaging a lower portion of an article (A). The at least one article retention structure including at least a first tab (42) struck from, and hingedly connected to, the first side panel and/or the first base panel. The at least a first tab includes an upper portion (42b), a lower portion (42a) and a central portion (42c). The carton blank incorporating a panel interlocking device for securing together a first and a second panel in overlapping relationship. The panel interlocking device comprises a locking tab struck from the first panel, and a retaining tab defining a locking aperture struck from the second panel. In use the retaining tab is displaced out of the plane of the second panel to receive said locking tab through the locking aperture to be engaged therewith. The retaining tab has opposing side edges each concavely curved as viewed from the outside of the retaining tab.
