The plurality of walls include a top wall (12), first side wall (14) hinged to the top wall by a first hinged connection (13) and a second side wall (18) hinged to the top wall by a second hinged connection. The carton comprises a handle structure comprising a handle aperture (A2) struck at least in part from the top wall and defining in part a handle strap (40a). The handle aperture comprises a first edge (E1) defining in part a grip portion of the handle strap and providing a load-bearing edge; and a second edge (E2) opposing the first edge, the second edge being a non-load-bearing edge. A reinforcing member (S) reinforces the load-bearing edge of the handle aperture.

The carton includes attachment features for attaching the carton to at least one other carton, the attachment features including at least one attachment flap removably connected to an end flap of the plurality of end flaps for attaching the carton to a portion of the at least one other carton.

The carton comprises a plurality of panels forming walls of a tubular structure including a top wall, a first side wall, a base wall, and a second side wall. An end closure structure at least partially closes an end of the tubular structure. The end closure structure includes: a top end closure flap having a handle flap which defines at least in part a handle opening in the top end closure flap for forming a carrying handle; a side end closure flap coupled to one of the first and second side walls; wherein the side end closure flap comprises a portion which underlies the handle flap when both the top and side end flaps are folded into an end-closing position.

The carton has a handle structure (H) defined at least in part in an outer panel (12b) and at least in part in an inner panel (12a). The outer panel is disposed in overlapping relationship with the inner panel to form the top wall. The outer panel includes an outer handle strap (30) while the inner panel includes an inner handle strap (32). The outer handle strap is continuously formed with the outer panel at its first end and severably attached to the outer panel at its second end by a frangible connection (46). The inner handle strap includes a first end disposed in the inner panel and continuously formed with the inner panel.

The plurality of panels comprises a top panel, a bottom panel, a first side panel, and a second side panel. At least two end flaps can be respectively foldably attached to respective panels of the plurality of panels. The at least two end flaps are at least partially overlapped with respect to one another and thereby at least partially form a closed end of the carton. The closed end of the carton can comprise a generally vertical portion extending from the bottom panel and an oblique portion extending from the top panel to the generally vertical portion. A dispenser can extend in at least the closed end of the carton.

Carton having dispensing feature and blank therefor

Carton (90) containing a plurality of containers (C) includes a dispenser defined by a dispenser (80) pattern (40) extending through the carton's first side panel (14), top panel (16), second side panel (18), and exiting end panel (84). The dispenser (80) is at least partially separable along the dispenser pattern (40) to form an opening into an interior of the carton (90). The dispenser pattern (40) includes first and second tear lines (51, 52) on first and second side exiting end flaps (32, 36) that extend downwardly toward one another from opposite sides of the exiting end panel. The first and second end dispenser patterns do not extend completely across respective first and second side exiting end flaps but stop short of an outer edge of respective first and second side exiting end flaps.

Carton and carton blank and a handle structure therefor

A carton includes a first panel and a second panel in overlying relationship with each other so as to form a composite wall and a handle structure formed in the composite wall. The handle structure includes a first end portion formed from the first panel, a grip portion extending from the first end portion into an access opening in the composite wall and a second end portion disposed under the first panel and coupled to the grip portion.
