Method and device for producing a cushioning product and cushioning product
The invention relates to a method for producing a cushioning product (88), comprising the following steps: providing a flat, longitudinal, two- or multilayered paper strip (10), wherein the individual layers (12, 14) of the paper strip (10) are connected to one another in at least some sections in a middle area (18) extending in the longitudinal direction, and wherein the individual layers (12, 14) of the paper strip (10) comprise marginal areas (20, 21, 22, 23) which are not connected to one another, opening adjacent marginal areas (20, 21, 22, 23) to form a paper strip (10) having a star-shaped cross section, and crumpling the paper strip (10) along the middle area (18).
Shower door glass pane packaging assembly
A packaging assembly is provided with a base that is sized to receive at least one shower door glass pane. At least one shower door glass pane is received within the base. A handle is mounted to the base. A plurality of projections extends from a bottom surface of the base to rest upon an underlying support surface and to reduce friction between the packaging assembly and the underlying support surface. The base includes a box with an opening formed in opposed surfaces of the box to expose a portion of the at least one shower door glass pane.
Tub insert system for top loading washer
A washing machine tub insert system is provided that prevents the wash tub from impacting the washing machine cabinet during shipping and handling. The tub insert system may be made from a die cut corrugated blank and foam locking members. The blank is folded to create a V-shaped structure that outwardly biases the locking members against the cabinet rim and against the tub to minimize relative movement of the tub and cabinet, thereby reducing or eliminating the possibility of the wash tub damaging the washing machine cabinet.
VOID FILL PACKAGING PRODUCT AND METHODS FOR MAKING
Briefly described, embodiments of the presently disclosed subject matter relate to void fill packaging products and one or more methods for making the void fill packaging products. The void fill packaging product is configured to cushion items for transport whether that be shipping long distances, local delivery, or self-transport in a vehicle. Specifically, in one aspect, a void fill product for packaging, may include a single spiraled continuous paper sheet surrounding a hollow center and forming at least two layers that overlap in a first direction. The portions of the at least two layers may overlap and may be mechanically joined in a second direction that is approximately perpendicular to the first direction.
Expanded slit sheet cushioning products with novel reduced dimension slit patterns
In the preferred embodiments, the present invention provides substantially improved slit sheet cushioning products by advantageously combining novel paper properties with novel slit patterns for improved features and characteristics. In some illustrative and non-limiting example embodiments, cushioning products of the present invention can include, e.g., a novel slit sheet material in combination with extensible paper employed as, e.g., a cushioning pad or as cushioning within an envelope product, wherein the cushioning product can be substantially more resilient, but, yet, e.g., thinner for better utilization of space.
Angle Edge Protector
An edge protector for disposition along an angled edge of an article includes a pair of interior walls; the walls being integrally joined in angular relation to one another at an interior edge when the angle edge protector is in an in-use configuration disposed along the angled edge of the article; a first exterior wall connected to an end of one of the pair of interior walls; and, a first arcuate wall having a first end integrally joined with the first exterior wall, the first arcuate wall having a curvature such that a second end of the first arcuate wall is proximate the interior edge when the angle edge protector is in the in-use configuration. Preferably, there are two arcuate portions, and the edge protector is symmetrical.
Envirotray insert for protecting an object within an outer container
An insert including a folded body including: a main panel having a top surface and an aperture to accommodate a container; first and second structural tubes at first and second opposing ends of the folded body; the first structural tube includes a first side folded away from the top surface, a second side folded from the first side and a third side folded from the second side towards a bottom surface; and the second structural tube comprises a fourth side folded away from the top surface, a fifth side folded from the fourth side and a sixth side folded from the fifth side towards the bottom surface. One of the third and sixth sides having a cradle provided within the aperture, the cradle being a cut-out; and a platform disposed in the aperture and offset from the top surface, the platform being a part of the folded body.
METHOD FOR PROVIDING MOULDED AIR-LAID PULP
A method including applying a wetting agent to air-laid pulp to form an intermediate pulp and cold-pressing the intermediate pulp to form a moulded product. The pulp may be formed from a fibrous raw material. The wetting agent may include a functional additive such as a sol. A sol may include a solvent, an alkoxide, and optionally a catalyst. The air-laid pulp, intermediate pulp, and/or moulded product may be free or substantially free of thermoplastic polymers and/or hydrocarbon-based plastics. The moulded product may be a fibre-based bubble wrap. The fibre-based bubble wrap may be formed from reel-to-reel processes.
PACKING MATERIAL AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE PACKING MATERIAL
Cellulosic packing materials, layers for the cellulosic packing materials, and panels therefor. The panels can be cushioning panels and, more specifically, cellulosic cushioning panels, such as cushioning panels formed from molded pulp or corrugated fiberboard sheets. The panels can be rigid panels and, more specifically, cellulosic rigid panels. The cellulosic cushioning panels can form cushioning layers, and the rigid panels can form rigid layers. Cushioning bocks and packing materials can be formed from the cushioning layers and rigid layers.
Cushion package box and electronic product cushion package assembly
A cushion package box includes a box body, a first cushion member and a plurality of paper tubes. The first cushion member is disposed in the box body and the first cushion member has a porous structure. The plurality of paper tubes is disposed in the box body. At least one of the plurality of paper tubes is in contact with the first cushion member. An opening direction of the porous structure is different from an opening direction of the at least one paper tube.
