METHOD AND DEVICE FOR FEEDING PRODUCTS FROM A FIRST PROCESS TO A SECOND PROCESS IN A PACKAGING PLANT
The invention relates to a method and to a device for feeding products (2) from a first process to a second process in a packaging plant, wherein a buffer device (3) is provided between the first process and the second process, wherein the buffer device (3) has a closed conveying section (32) having a receiving position (30) for receiving products (2) from the first process, and having a transfer position (31) for transferring products (2) to the second process, and a plurality of conveying units (33) which at least in portions along the conveying section (32) can be driven in a mutually independent manner, and wherein the products (2) from the first process are in each case provided in groups with a variable first placing pattern, the method comprising the following steps: a) detecting the first placing pattern of a group (21, 23) of products (2) to be relocated, b) providing a number of conveying units (33), disposed in the detected first placing pattern, at the receiving position (30) of the buffer device (3), and c) collectively relocating the group (21, 23) of products with the detected placing pattern into the conveying units (33) of the buffer device (3) that are provided at the receiving position (30).
METHOD AND ASSEMBLY FOR TRANSFERRING PRODUCTS
Products are loaded into receptacles by means of a transfer device, which comprises a plurality of pick-up heads, each of which picks up a product. The products are provided in a random arrangement in a pick-up area, and the position of each product is detected. To pick up the products, the transfer device is moved over the pick-up area and each pick-up head picks up an individual product at a pick-up time and in a pick-up position. The pick-up position and the pick-up time for the products are determined on the basis of the previously detected positions of the products. The placement of the products in a placement area also occurs preferably while the transfer device is moving relative to the receptacles.
Method and device for distributing and/or grouping containers
An apparatus (10) and method for distributing and/or grouping containers in a container treatment system. The device (10) includes a supply conveyor (12), a discharge conveyor (16) and a transfer conveyor (14). The transfer conveyor (14) uses a guide path (28) and several movement devices (30) that can be driven individually, preferably by a long stator linear motor (32) and which are guided along the guide path (28). The several movement devices (30) include a conveyor device (34) that is designed to transfer several containers from the supply conveyor (12) to the discharge conveyor (16). The device (10) can preferably be used to reduce the risk of the containers tipping over when being transferred, to reduce the number of movement devices (30) and/or to enable the containers to be pre-grouped.
ORIENTATION MODULE
An orientation module including a base configured to support at least one container, a camera positioned to scan the at least one container, a processor operatively connected to the camera configured to analyze an initial orientation of the container and determine a secondary orientation of the container, and a turning member positioned above the base configured to turn the corresponding container according to a command from the processor to rotate the container to the secondary orientation
Product engagement system for grouping and moving containers, related systems and methods
A method of moving at least one container includes positioning at least one container at an upstream end of a system having at least one track assembly, a linear motor assembly, and at least one product engagement assembly, the at least one product engagement assembly having a shuttle member movably engaged with the linear motor assembly and the at least one track assembly, and an adapter assembly coupled to the shuttle member and comprising a product engagement member. The method further includes engaging the at least one container with the product engagement member, moving the at least one product engagement assembly at least partially along the linear motor assembly, and articulating the product engagement member relative to the shuttle member.
Flexible pitch product metering system
A product management system (100) including a first panel (102) with a first continuous track (106) including a queuing section, a product engagement section and a return section, and a first series of magnetic sources (115) disposed circumferentially along the first continuous track (106). A first series of lugs (116) are movably dispersed around the first continuous track (106) configured to react to the first series of magnetic sources in order to increase or decrease a velocity of each lug (116) of the first series of lugs along the first continuous track (116) and a product engagement member (118) attached to each lug configured and adapted to actuate to engage a product.
IMPROVEMENTS IN AND RELATING TO PACKAGING APPARATUS
A packaging apparatus and method is provided. The packaging apparatus comprises: a support platform for supporting packaging containers positioned thereon; and a packaging container positioning apparatus for positioning packaging containers on the support platform. The packaging container positioning apparatus comprises: one or more rails that each form a path for conveying devices; a plurality of individually controllable conveying devices comprising at least a first conveying device and a second conveying device, each conveying device mounted on a rail for moving along the path; and a control system configured to control the conveying devices. The control system is configured to control each conveying device to engage: a packaging container, move along the path in a first conveying direction, and release the packaging container, to position the packaging container on the support platform.
Grouping station for grouping pallets
A grouping station for grouping pallets includes an inbound conveyor, which is a gravity conveyor. The grouping station includes a fixed-height pairing conveyor and a grouping conveyor with three height positions for different grouping functions.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR DISTRIBUTING AND/OR GROUPING CONTAINERS
The invention relates to a method and a device (10) for distributing and/or grouping containers in a container treatment system. The device (10) comprises a supply conveyor (12), a discharge conveyor (16) and a transfer conveyor (14). The transfer conveyor (14) comprises a guide path (28) and several movement devices (30) that can be driven individually, preferably by means of a long stator linear motor (32) and which are guided along the guide path (28). The several movement devices (30) comprise a conveyor device (34) that is designed to transfer several containers from the supply conveyor (12) to the discharge conveyor (16).
