NON-NATURAL INSECT PHEROMONE BLEND COMPOSITIONS
This disclosure concerns insect pheromone blend compositions comprising pheromones particular to reproductively isolated insects. In some aspects, the disclosure concerns non-natural insect pheromone blend compositions containing (Z)-13-Octadecenal or (Z)-9-Octadecenal that are surprisingly effective for the purpose of modifying the behavior of yellow stem borer (Scirpophaga incertulas) and/or striped stem borer (Chilo suppressalis) insect pests.

Mosquito Identification Classification Trap and Method to Use
It is important to trap and identify mosquitos to ensure the safety of the population where mosquitos gather. The classification of a type of mosquito is typically accomplished by a unique wingbeat signature that is characteristic of different types of mosquitos. One of the goals of the trap is to quickly identify the mosquito and then quickly release the mosquito. This application will allow the user to obtain an approximate population so that the appropriate type and amount of insecticide can be applied to control the population to insure the health of the human and animal population while at the same time minimizing danger to the environment or surrounding ecosystem.
INTELLIGENT TRAP AND CONSUMABLES
A system may include a trap and a consumable. The trap may include a data capture mechanism configured to capture data and send the data to a system operator. The consumable may include a device having an associated electronic identification code. A status-determining mechanism may be configured to determine a status of the consumable, which status may be readable via the data capture mechanism. The consumable may include a sensor configured to detect flying insects via mutual capacitance sensing. The sensor may be configured to provide a directional fringe field responsive to a flying insect. The sensor may include a plurality of sensor triplets arranged in a grid array. Each sensor triplet may include a sensor conductor and two electrically conductive un-grounded conductors. The two un-grounded conductors may be disposed one on either side of the sensor conductor to form the sensor triplet.

INSECT TRAP
An insect trap includes a base and a lid, the base having an inner cavity configured to receive a refillable container that can be filled with an insect attractant. The lid may have a plurality of openings that allow access to the inner cavity, for insects to enter through. Each of the plurality of openings may have a chamfered surface to facilitate a landing space for insects. The plurality of openings have a first opening and a second opening that opens into the inner cavity of the base, housing an insect attractant.

WASP CATCHING DEVICE PROVIDED ON BEEHIVE
A wasp catching device installed on a beehive according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a capture chamber installed above the bee entrance of the beehive, formed of a mesh through which light is transmitted or a transparent or translucent material, and configured to capture wasps, and a capture chamber entrance located in the lower portion of the capture chamber, and formed to attract wasps by light entering the inside of the capture chamber. A flight space for the free flight of wasps and bees is provided below the capture chamber entrance by spacing the capture chamber apart from the ground by a predetermined distance. The wasp catching device allows wasps having the habit of flying upward to fly upward and be attracted to the capture chamber entrance by means of light emitted from the inside of the capture chamber while flying in the flight space.
Image forming apparatus
An image forming apparatus (1) includes a recording head section (4), a spray section (10), and a controller (9). The recording head section (4) forms an image on a paper sheet (S). The spray section (10) sprays a drug toward the paper sheet (S) to form a drug region (R) on the paper sheet (S). The controller (9) controls the spray section (10). The controller (9) controls the spray section (10) such that at least a part of the image formed on the paper sheet (S) and at least a part of the drug region (R) overlap each other.
