Composite material including a thermoplastic polymer, a pest food material, and a pesticide
Composite materials that are palatable to a wood-destroying pest species and also pesticidal to the pest species can be used in pest control devices and can be used as wood substitutes for structural components, which are resistant to destruction by wood-destroying pests. The composite materials include a thermoplastic polymer, a food material for the pest and a pesticide. The composite material is formed by mixing a thermoplastic polymer, wood fragments or other cellulosic materials and a quantity of pesticide, and thereafter creating a molten material within a mixer, compounder, extruder or the like. The molten material is extruded or molded to form the desired shape.
System of home improvement devices in communication over a low power wide area network
A sensor system for detecting objects includes a plurality of devices and a network assembly. The plurality of device assemblies includes an object detector assembly, a termite trap assembly, and a pest trap assembly. The object detector assembly includes a device implemented along the outer perimeter of a house in order to detect various objects. Additionally, the termite trap assembly includes a cardboard cutout with a high cellulose content having conductive ink. Furthermore, the pest trap assembly includes a housing having a trap door that is used to capture pests such as rodents and mice. Each of the devices are in communication with the network assembly via a low power wide area network. Each of the devices may also act as a repeater thereby further extending the range of communication for each of the devices.
Cockroach electrocution device
A German cockroach trap provides bait, humidity, and temperature to attract German cockroaches into entries, electrocutes the German cockroaches upon entry into the trap, and stores dead cockroaches below the entries. Electrode bands form a closed ring on an interior surface and contact with two of the rings immediately kills the German cockroach which drops into a receiving dock below. A center electrode band may include holes for entry into the trap. A water reservoir in the bottom of the trap is heated to generate humid vapor. Heaters in the top of the trap are controlled to maintain temperature and a fan in the top of the trap draws ambient air into the trap to create a humid vapor flow out through the entries. Bait trays contain material further attracting the German cockroaches.

DEVICE FOR INTERFERING IN THE VISUAL NAVIGATION CAPABILITY OF ORGANISMS
A device for interfering with the optical navigation capability of an organism moving in air, comprising at least a detector, a projector and a control device connected to the detector and the projector, which is characterized in that using the detector a biological feature of an organism may be identified by way of at least a signal, wherein the control device then determines the trajectory of the organism and, in dependence on the species and trajectory of the organism, indicates a light pattern, which may be projected using the projector.
BACTROCERA OLEAE ATTRACTANT COMPOSITION AND USES THEREOF
The present invention relates to a Bactrocera oleae attractant composition comprising at least one terpene and at least one carbonyl compound as active substances, and at least one excipient.

AN AUTOMATED MOSQUITO HOST BIO-MIMICKING DEVICE
The present invention discloses an automated mosquito host bio-mimicking device. The device is capable of being operated in multiple modes. The device includes a pheromone chamber (1) to enclose the mosquito attractants such as pheromones, a thermal chamber (2) to mimic the body temperature and facilitate the dissemination of the pheromones, an electronic chamber (3) for automatically regulating the functioning of the device, a photocatalysis chamber (4) to generate micro quantity of CO.sub.2, a suction chamber (4a) to suck the mosquitoes reaching the mouth of the photocatalysis chamber (4), and a dehydration chamber (5) to immobilize the trapped mosquitoes. The device traps various species of mosquitoes using a broad spectrum of attractants and controls their population by providing an eco-friendly and cost-effective approach. Further, the device is portable and is operable remotely through a mobile application.
SYSTEM FOR IMAGE BASED REMOTE SURVEILLANCE IN AN INSECT TRAP
The proposed apparatus, which functions to capture insects for research purposes, incorporates a mesh platform used to gather insects, at least one funnel used to direct insects to the mesh platform, a fan positioned at the base of the apparatus to create a down draft in the air flow which forces insects to gather on the mesh platform. A camera placed above the mesh platform and funnel to collect images of the insects on the mesh platform.
