Sheet conveyer and image reading apparatus
A sheet conveyer including a sheet support, a pickup roller, a separator roller, a holder, a guide, an urging member, and a contact section is provided. The holder is swingable and supports the pickup roller rotatably. The guide is attached to the holder and movable to swing relatively to the holder along with a swing movement of the holder. Urging force from the urging member acts on the guide to move toward a first position with respect to the holder. The contact section contacts a contacting part in the guide to restrict, the contacting part from being moved along with the swing movement of the holder. The guide is movable relatively to the holder from a position closer to the first position toward a position closer to a second position against the urging force from the urging member and allows the holder to further move toward the uppermost position.
Sheet conveying apparatus
A sheet conveying apparatus, including: a base body having a conveyor surface; a separating roller configured to rotate about a first rotation axis parallel to a width direction of the conveyor surface and to convey a sheet downstream in a conveyance direction orthogonal to the width direction; a separating piece opposed to the separating roller and configured to cooperate with the separating roller to separate sheets being conveyed one by one; an attachment member removably attached to the base body at a position at which the attachment member is opposed to the separating roller, so as to form a part of the conveyor surface; a holder holding the separating piece and supported by the attachment member so as to be movable toward and away from the separating roller; and a first urging member provided between the attachment member and the holder for urging the separating piece toward the separating roller.
SHEET FEEDING DEVICE AND IMAGE FOMING APPRATUS THEREWITH
A sheet feeding device has a sheet stacking tray, a sheet stop portion, a sheet feed roller, a separation member, a first urging member, an eccentric cam, a cam follower, a sheet detection mechanism, and a holding mechanism. The holding mechanism holds the separation member at a position away from the sheet feed roller after a half-moon-shaped feed surface has passed across the separation member as the sheet feed roller rotates. Immediately before a sheet starts to be fed, the sheet stacking tray is kept on standby at a standby position radially inward of the outer diameter of the feed surface so that the feedable distance between the feed start position and the sheet stop portion is larger than the detectable distance as the maximum distance between the detectable position at which the sheet can be detected by the sheet detection mechanism and the sheet stop portion.
DOCUMENT CONVEYING DEVICE
A document conveying device includes a feed roller, a separation pad, a pad holder, a tension spring, and a separation pad support mechanism. The feed roller and the separation pad form a separation nip at which a sheet is separated and conveyed. The pad holder holds the separation pad and can be turned upward and downward around a turning shaft. The tension spring biases the pad holder upward to press the separation pad against the feed roller. The separation pad support mechanism turns the pad holder in a direction to separate the separation pad from the feed roller against a biasing force of the tension spring.
SHEET CONVEYING APPARATUS
A sheet conveying apparatus includes a feed roller, a separation pad, a separation pad holder, a conveying guide member, a separation roller, a first vibration damping member, and a second vibration damping member. The feed roller feeds a sheet from a sheet feeding tray in a predetermined conveying direction. The separation pad is provided on a downstream side of the feed roller in the conveying direction. The separation pad holder holds the separation pad. The conveying guide member guides a conveyance of the sheet and supports the separation pad holder. The separation roller holds the sheet fed by the feed roller between itself and the separation pad and conveys the sheet in the conveying direction. The first vibration damping member is provided between the separation pad and the separation pad holder. The second vibration damping member is provided between the separation pad holder and the conveying guide member.
