The supporting portion is provided with a first guide surface and a second guide surface facing each other and extending in the parallel direction. The rotation stopping portion is configured to be attached to the shaft. The rotation stopping portion is configured to be inserted between the first guide surface and the second guide surface. The rotation stopping portion is configured to include a first sliding surface and a second sliding surface. The first sliding surface faces the first guide surface on the paper feeding roller side of the parallel direction and a downstream side of the conveyance direction with respect to a rotation axis of the separation roller. The second sliding surface faces the second guide surface on an opposite side of the paper feeding roller of the parallel direction and an upstream side of the conveyance direction with respect to the rotation axis of the separation roller.
Sheet supplying apparatus, sheet processing apparatus employing the same, and image forming apparatus
A sheet supplying apparatus includes an alignment member pivotable to an alignment location for blocking and aligning fore-ends of media contained on a loading table, and a transport-allowing location for allowing a medium picked up by a pickup member to be transported, a cam gear including a gear portion partially including a tooth-omitted portion, and a cam portion for switching the alignment member between the alignment location and the transport-allowing location at first and second rotating locations, a swing arm pivotable about a same axis as a rotation axis of a main gear, and first and second swing gears supported by the swing arm to interlock with the main gear, selectively interlocking with the gear portion according to a rotating direction of the main gear, and rotating the cam gear to the first and second rotating locations.
SINGLE CONTINUOUS BELT IN AN ESCROW SUBASSEMBLY
An escrow unit has an escrow wheel and a movable-continuous belt. The escrow wheel rotates about an axis. The movable-continuous belt is wrapped partially around the escrow wheel forming an open gap between the belt and escrow wheel. The open gap allows the belt to transport a document through the open gap and to store the document by holding the document between the belt and the escrow wheel.
Sheet conveyance apparatus and image forming apparatus
A sheet conveyance apparatus includes a storage unit storing a sheet, a conveyance member to convey a sheet, a support shaft portion, and a separation unit. The support shaft portion has one end fixed to a main body of the sheet conveyance apparatus and the other end as a free end that is not fixed to the main body. The separation unit pinches and conveys a sheet with the conveyance member and separates a plurality of sheets stored in and fed from the storage unit one by one. The separation unit includes a separation member that is supported by the support shaft portion and rotatable with the support shaft portion, and a holding member to hold the separation member. By moving the holding member in an axial direction of the support shaft portion, the separation unit is removed from the apparatus with the holding member holding the separation member.
PAPER FEEDER AND IMAGE FORMING DEVICE INCORPORATING SAME
A paper feeder including: a push-up mechanism that pushes up an end portion of a tray below a leading end of a stack of sheets; a paper feed roller that intersects a locus fitted to motion of the end portion of the tray or an extension of the locus in the direction of the motion, and applies a conveying force to a sheet that the push-up mechanism presses against the paper feed roller to move the sheet in a conveyance direction; a separation member that forms a nip with the paper feed roller and applies a resistance force in a direction opposite the conveyance direction to the sheet; and an auxiliary roller upstream in the conveyance direction from the locus that applies a conveying force in the conveyance direction to the sheet, maintaining a state of contact between the sheet and the paper feed roller.
Sheet Conveyor And Image Forming Apparatus
A sheet conveyor includes a drive roller, a retard roller forming a nip with the drive roller, a first torque limiter disposed coaxially with the retard roller and communicating with the retard roller, a first gear disposed coaxially with the retard roller, a drive train including a plurality of gears for receiving a driving force from the first gear, a second torque limiter, and an arm member including a contact portion located downstream of the drive roller in the conveyance direction. The arm member is movable between a first arm position to allow transmission of the driving force to the second torque limiter and a second arm position to interrupt transmission of the driving force to the second torque limiter. The arm member is configured to, as the sheet conveyed by the drive roller contacts the contact portion, move from the first arm position to the second arm position
Torque control in a sheet media pick mechanism
In one example, a torque control system for a sheet media pick mechanism to move a top sheet of media from a stack of media sheets into a nip between a pick roller and a separator roller. The torque control system includes a sensor to sense a number of consecutive pick failures and a controller operatively connected to the sensor to reduce a torque applied to the separator roller during a pick attempt after each pick failure in an amount corresponding to the number of consecutive pick failures sensed by the sensor.
Paper sheet handling machine and paper sheet handling method
A banknote handling machine includes: a distinguishing unit that distinguishes a given classifying condition covering the type according to which banknotes from multiple types of banknotes that are put in are classified; a plurality of depositories in corresponding ones of which the banknotes whose type is distinguished by the distinguishing unit are classified and housed according to the classifying condition before a transaction relating to the put-in banknotes is determined; a plurality of housing units in corresponding ones of which the banknotes that are sent from the corresponding depositories are classified and housed according to the classifying condition after the transaction is determined; and a controller that controls the depositories according to the classifying condition.
SEPARATION ROLLER, SHEET FEEDING APPARATUS, AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A separation roller for a sheet feeding apparatus includes an outer circumferential portion formed from an elastic material, a core portion to which the outer circumferential portion is attached; and a flange portion including a plurality of projecting portions each projecting to an outside in a radial direction with respect to the core portion. At least one of the plurality of projecting portions includes a first surface provided on a side portion thereof on an upstream side in a first direction in which the separation roller rotates in such a manner as to follow the rotary feeding member rotating to feed the sheet. The first surface extends more upstream in the first direction at a position further on an outside in a radial direction with respect to a rotation axis of the separation roller as viewed in the axial direction.
