INDEPENDENTLY ROTATABLE FLANGES AND ATTACHABLE ARBOR HOLE ADAPTERS

A pair of flanges attachable to the arbor hole of a reel is disclosed. The flanges provide a mechanism to allow the reel to be easily loaded, and lifted into place. Once loaded into place, the flanges may include a locking mechanism that locks the reel in place, centered on the flanges. Additionally, the flanges are attachable using a hub that allows them to rotate independently from one another, and from the reel to which they are attached.

MOBILE ELECTRICAL CABLE DISTRIBUTION ASSEMBLY
20190185288 · 2019-06-20 ·

A mobile electrical cable distribution assembly provides a mobile cart that supports multiple spools at a slope, creating a tiered arrangement of spools for easier access and distribution of the electrical cables rolled thereon. The mobility of the cart enables the electrical cables to be positioned for drawing and spooling. The sloped arrangement of the spools allows for facilitated access to the ends of the electrical cable for drawing and spooling the electrical cable. The spools are configured to carry, draw, and spool the electrical cables directly from the cart. The assembly also provides multiple interchangeable conveyor rollers to carry the spools. The conveyor rollers comprise a shaft, antifriction ball bearings, and an outer cylinder race for drawing and spooling the electrical cable about the spool. The conveyor roller also has springs between the outer cylinder race and the shaft, creating spring returned mounting for facilitated access to the ball bearings.

Cable Drum Feeding Tool for a Vehicle with a Lifting Device

A cable drum feeding tool is for a vehicle with a lifting device. The tool has a primary gripper arm arrangement with a primary first gripper arm and a primary second gripper arm extending parallel and spaced apart from each other via a spacing, and a connection element connecting the primary gripper arms, and a primary gripper arm mechanism for moving at least one of the primary gripper arms. The tool further comprises rotation mechanism having a respective pivot at the primary gripper arms adapted to engage with respective flanges of a cable drum. The tool further has an attachment arrangement for releasably attaching the tool to the lifting device of the vehicle.

Spool Assembly And Method Of Assembly

A spool configured to support a roll of material. The spool comprises an arbor, a first flange, and a second flange. The first flange includes a first plurality of flange panels that are rotatably connected to respective arbor panels of the arbor at a first arbor edge of the arbor. The second flange is connected to a second arbor edge of the arbor. The first flange is configured to transition between a retention configuration and an open configuration. In the retention configuration, the roll of material is substantially prevented from removal from the arbor along an arbor axis by the first and second flanges. In the open configuration, the roll of material is removable from the arbor and receivable on the arbor in the arbor direction.

FIBER DEMARCATION POINT AND SLACK STORAGE

A cable spool includes first and second curved flanges extending radially outwardly from first and second axial ends of a drum. The flanges have outer edges that cooperate to define an annular slot providing access to a passageway surrounding the drum. The slot has a width that is less than half the height of the drum. A cable is wrapped around the drum. A closure having an environmentally sealed interior may receive an end of the cable. A second cable can be deployed from a second spool and coupled to the end of the cable within the closure. The second spool can be mounted with the cable spool. A cover can be placed over the spools for aesthetic or protection reasons.

Hand cart for lifting and supporting an item for holding windable material and associated method

A hand cart and a method of use for lifting a spool of material from a floor includes a wheeled base and a spool-supporting rack section which includes a pair of parallel arm sections having two ends which extend forwardly of the cart. A pair of floor-engaging struts are joined to the arm sections adjacent the forwardly-extending ends thereof, and a pair of pillow blocks having a pair of axially-aligned openings are secured to the arm sections. By pivoting the cart forwardly about the struts from a first position at which the wheels engage the floor to a second position at which the wheels are elevated from the floor, then inserting an axle rod in sequence through one pillow block opening, through the barrel of the item and then through the other pillow block opening and then returning the cart to the first position, the item is lifted above the floor.

Devices for lifting, maneuvering, winding and unwinding reels

The present invention relates to a device or a pair of devices for lifting, maneuvering, winding or unwinding reels, each comprising a center retractable member having an adjustable length; a first and second angularly-oriented vertical support bar, each pivotally mounted, at its proximal end, on opposite ends of the center retractable member, wherein the first and second angularly-oriented vertical support bars are pivotally joined to each other at their distal ends; a reel support member mounted on the joint of the first and second angularly-oriented vertical support bars, wherein the reel support member is adapted to removably by received by the bore of the reel; and a means for adjusting the length of the center retractable member, thereby moving the reel support member upward and downward, respectively.

Cable reel and reel carrying caddy

A resilient cable caddy comprising a portable housing for storing reels of cable that has a lower base with a hinged top forming an enclosure for the reel. A reel of cable is rotatably mounted within the interior. A handle formed by abutting base and top portions enables carrying. Each reel comprises a spool with a central axle coupled at each end to spaced apart end caps, being retained by mounting rings. The spindles have bearing rings journaled to bearing races defined in the end caps. Both spindles comprise hubs disposed within case gudgeons. A two-piece spindle has a removable hub portion fitted to an internal socket. When reels are transported they may be stacked vertically atop one another with the one piece spindle engaging the empty and exposed spindle hub socket of an upper reel. Caddies may also be opened and stacked vertically for transportation.

REEL ENCLOSURES

A reel enclosure includes a base and a door pivotally coupled with the base. The door is movable between a first closed position and a second open position and is configured to hold a reel at an interior surface of the door. The reel is configured to have cable wound thereon. In the first closed position, the base is configured to prevent the reel from rotating relative to the door and the base, and, in the second open position, the door is configured to hold the reel outside of an interior of the base and permit the reel to rotate relative to the door and the base.
