Jack apparatus for lifting and supporting an item for holding windable material
Apparatus for lifting and supporting an item above a floor includes a frame and a pair of upright telescoping post assemblies having two opposite ends and which are positionable on opposite sides of the item to be lifted. A pair of guide posts are arranged as to extend substantially vertically of the frame and adjacent the post assemblies. A carriage assembly having an elongated member is mounted upon each post assembly for cooperating between the item and an adjacent guide post, and jacks are utilized for moving the ends of the post assemblies apart so that by positioning the elongated members of the carriage assemblies in cooperating relationship with an end of the item and moving the ends of the post assemblies apart, the end of the item is lifted by a corresponding amount and the carriage assemblies are guided along the guide posts.
MULTIFUNCTIONAL REEL CARRIER-VAC-SPOIL MATERIAL HANDLING CONTAINER AND METHOD OF TRENCHING AND LAYING CABLE OR DUCT
Provided is a multifunctional reel carrier, spoil material handling container device having a first trailer or first truck bed, a first container constructed to contain spoil on the first trailer or first truck bed, at least one spoil transporting device constructed to transfer spoil from a micro trencher and deposit the spoil in the first container and constructed to transfer spoil from the first container to a fill device, and at least one reel holder constructed to hold a reel of cable and/or innerduct/microduct present on the first truck or first trailer, or present on a second trailer or second truck. Also provided is a method of using the multifunctional reel carrier, spoil material handling container device to lay cable and/or innerduct/microduct underground.
Rack pulley system
A removable rack pulley system is provided. The removable rack pulley system is detachably connected to a rack and is employed to adjust cables that are associated with equipment stored in shelves of the rack. The rack pulley system includes a cable-run assembly and a locking mechanism. The locking mechanism includes a pressure-actuated locking pin to adhere and release calipers that attach the rack pulley system to the rack. The cable-run assembly uses a multi-length shaft that is integrally connected to the locking mechanism. The multi-length shaft is configured to receive multiple spools of cable to allow various types and sizes of cables to be simultaneously pulled through the rack pulley system while retaining separation of the cables during adjustment of cables. The spools are secured in the cable-run assembly by a holding wire that detachably connects to an end of the multi-length shaft.
SPOOL HOLDER AND METHOD OF SUPPORTING SPOOL OF WIRE WITH SPOOL HOLDER
A spool holder includes a cylinder defining a longitudinal axis and having an external surface on which a spool of wire may be supported. A first plate is positioned at a first end of the cylinder and a second plate is positioned at a second end of the cylinder. Both first and second plates have portions extending radially outward from the external surface of the cylinder. The first and second plates both have a perpendicular orientation relative to the longitudinal axis. The first and second plates restrict axial movement of the spool of wire therebetween. The first plate and cylinder are stationary relative to a mounting structure, while the second plate is configured to rotate with the spool of wire. A mechanism urges the second plate and, thus, the spool of wire toward the first plate, thereby regulating rotation of the spool of wire.
Go anywhere fishing reel line loader
A device for loading a fishing reel with line from a line supply spool by a single person. This device has a base with two side walls with corresponding holes, a plastic bendable tension rod, and suction cups attached to the bottom of the base. The tension rod produces downward pressure on supply spool when threaded through side wall hole, then through center hole of supply spool, then through corresponding through hole on the other side wall, holding it in place. The tension rod when in place as above also produces tension on fishing line which can be loaded to reel by attaching line to reel through rod guides and turning reel crank. The suction cups attached to base allow line loader to be used by one person anywhere you have a non-porous surface.
Spool holder
The present invention is a spool holder that is an insert for inserting in the hole in a spool to frictionally engage the inner surface of the spool, and having an attachment mechanism that allows the insert to be attached to a surface, such as the vertical metallic side of a car. The attachment mechanism may include a number of magnets disposed in receptacles in the insert, or a number of small suction cups on the lateral sides of the insert.
Device and method usable for installing cable into a winch spool
Apparatus and methods usable for introducing tension into a cable. The apparatus comprises a frame adapted for connection to a crane, a holder adapted for retaining a cable spool, and at least one surface adapted to contact the cable and resist its movement. The frame is adapted for disassembly into a plurality of sections. The apparatus comprises at least one bracket for connecting the frame with the crane. The bracket comprises an aperture adapted for connecting to a jib attachment of a boom head. The at least one surface comprises at least two surfaces adapted to compress the cable, thereby resisting its movement. The at least two surfaces comprise a channel extending thereon, wherein the channels are adapted to form a generally circular bore when the surfaces are joined together, wherein the bore is adapted for receiving the cable.
Spooling cable
A method includes mounting a spool system at a floor level of a multiple dwelling unit. The floor level has multiple customer units. The spool system includes at least one spool of fiber optic cable. Each end of each fiber optic cable has a spliced-on connector. The method further includes paying out a length of fiber optic cable from the at least one spool to reach a customer unit of the floor level, connecting one of the connectors of the paid-out fiber optic cable to a floor splitter, and connecting the floor splitter to a distribution splitter of the multiple dwelling unit.
Electric fence reel
Provided is a reel for a conductor of an electric fence. The reel includes a bobbin, a frame for supporting the bobbin, and a connector. The connector can be two jaws and can have passages to connect the reel to a support such as a conductor of an existing fence or a tube of a vehicle. One of the jaws can be wide for stability. The connector can have an electrical conductor for connecting to the support and electrifying the conductor. The connector can also be operated by a trigger and can have a locking mechanism. The frame can be a one-piece frame made of plastics material. The reel can have a spreader and a hot-up bar. The reel can have a crank that can be disengaged from the bobbin and a brake that is applied when the crank is disengaged.
Cable drum support for rotatably supporting a cable drum
The application relates to a cable drum support for rotatably supporting a cable drum, including a cross beam, on which two holding arms are arranged, which are aligned parallel to one another, wherein each holding arm has a respective laterally protruding and rotatably supported bearing pin on a free end, wherein the bearing pins are arranged aligned with one another on the holding arms so as to face one another and aligned parallel to the cross beam, and wherein at least one of the holding arms is shiftably supported along the cross beam. The cable drum support further including at least one actuatable actuator, which is formed to shift at least the one of the holding arms and/or to apply a torque to at least one bearing pin for rotating about its longitudinal central axis.
