Cable reel and reel carrying caddy
A resilient cable caddy comprising a portable housing for storing reels of cable that has a lower base with a hinged top forming an enclosure for the reel. A reel of cable is rotatably mounted within the interior. A handle formed by abutting base and top portions enables carrying. Each reel comprises a spool with a central axle coupled at each end to spaced apart end caps, being retained by mounting rings. The spindles have bearing rings journalled to bearing races defined in the end caps. Both spindles comprise hubs disposed within case gudgeons. A two-piece spindle has a removable hub portion fitted to an internal socket. When reels are transported they may be stacked vertically atop one another with the one piece spindle engaging the empty and exposed spindle hub socket of an upper reel. Caddies may also be opened and stacked vertically for transportation.
Packaging assembly for telecommunications components
An assembly including a pallet, a carousel mounted on the pallet, a plurality of tray assemblies stacked one on top of the other on the carousel. Each of the tray assemblies include a tray body, at least one fiber optic adapter supported at a top side of the tray body and a first spool mounted beneath the tray body. The first spool has spaced-apart flanges and fiber optic cable wrapped about the first spool at a location between the spaced-apart flanges. At least some of the flanges of the first spools of adjacent tray assemblies are coupled together.
Elongated sheet feeding reel
A delivery reel for an elongated sheet, having a disk-shaped flange member on which a sheet roll is positioned; an auxiliary core member of generally cylindrical shape split in the circumferential direction to enable expansion in diameter, and inserted into the inside diameter part of the sheet roll; a main core member fitted into the auxiliary core member which has been inserted into the sheet roll; and a stopper member attached to the circumferential edge of the flange member, and jutting toward the outside in the radial direction. The main core member has a plate spring. In a state in which the auxiliary core member has been inserted into the inside diameter part of the sheet roll, and the main core member has been fitted into the auxiliary core member, the plate spring presses the inside peripheral surface of the auxiliary core member toward the outside in the radial direction.
Interlocked pay off reel design
An interlocked pay off reel comprises square or rectangular endplates that can be interlocked together to build a wall or skid of reels, and which allows the cable to be unspooled or paid out easily using a simple assembly. The pay off reel comprises two round flanges configured to hold respective ends of a cable spool. The flanges can be snapped to respective two square endplates, which elevate the spool and act as a stable base. The engagement mechanism between the flanges and the endplates permits the spool and flanges to rotate during pay off and applies frictional braking to prevent the spool from back spinning and freewheeling. Handles are built into the endplates so that the reel can be handled and moved easily. Interlock mechanisms on multiple sides and surfaces of the endplates permit the endplates to be locked to other endplates in all directions, allowing stacks of reels to be assembled.
Assembly for dispensing cable
An assembly for dispensing cable from a spool, including first and second end members separated by one or more cross-members; and an axle extending at least partially between the end members for rotatably coupling the spool to the assembly, wherein end sections of the cross-members are releasably coupled to respective keyed slots of the end members.
Spooling cable
A method includes mounting a spool system at a floor level of a multiple dwelling unit. The floor level has multiple customer units. The spool system includes at least one spool of fiber optic cable. Each end of each fiber optic cable has a spliced-on connector. The method further includes paying out a length of fiber optic cable from the at least one spool to reach a customer unit of the floor level, connecting one of the connectors of the paid-out fiber optic cable to a floor splitter, and connecting the floor splitter to a distribution splitter of the multiple dwelling unit.
MULTI-SPOOL CABLE REEL
In general, in one aspect, one or more examples relate to apparatuses and methods for deploying a cable. The apparatuses comprises a set of spools. Each spool includes a pair of flanges, and a cable hub positioned between them. The cable hub defines one or more module compartments configured to house modules. A cable is wound around the hub, with at least one module contained within the module compartments and connected to a first end of the cable.

A component mounting device comprises a mounting head being configured to mount a component from a carrier tape onto a substrate, a component supply unit being configured to convey the carrier tape, a holder, and a carrier tape holding device providing a first storage space in communication with the holder. The carrier tape holding device is configured to perform operations comprising: holding the carrier tape that, when conveyed by the component supply unit, is pulled out from a tape roll body stored in the first storage space, having a tape roll body for replenishment stored in the holder; and receiving the tape roll body for replenishment from the holder when the carrier tape of the tape roll body for replenishment is conveyed by the component supply unit.
