Cable guide device for multi-diameter cables
An apparatus and a method for guiding multi-diameter cables onto a drum by means of a cable guide device. The cable guide device includes a guiding means translationally moveable along a linear actuator, and the guiding means has an opening with a minimum spacing in a direction along the orientation of the linear actuator that is larger than the maximum cross-section of a cable to be guided inside the opening of the guiding means. Further, a cable, during use, is, most of its operational time, contacting at least one of at least two barriers, and the barriers constitute at least part of a confinement of the opening in the orientation of the linear actuator. The cable guide ensures rapid contact recuperation after loss or near loss of cable contact on one or more of the at least two barriers.
A DEVICE AND A METHOD FOR TRANSFERRING ADVANCING YARN DURING BOBBIN CHANGEOVER IN AN AUTOMATIC TURRET TYPE YARN WINDER
The present invention is a part of a yarn transfer system used for transferring yarn from a full bobbin to an empty bobbin typically fitted on a winder frame. The invention broadly comprises a yarn traverse device used in transferring a continuously arriving yarn onto an empty bobbin for commencing of winding process during bobbin changeover process in automatic turret winder without any stoppage. This is achieved with the provision of an actuation device that facilitates axial movement of the yarn traverse device. In the present invention, during the bobbin changeover operation, the yarn traverse device is moved axially through the actuation device and allows the traverse guidewhile maintaining its normal traverse speed at all timesto move beyond the normal yarn winding zone such that the advancing yarn is within the reach of the yarn grasping device of the ready-to-be-wound empty bobbin. After the yarn transfer is completed, the traverse device moves back to the normal winding zone.
WINDING DEVICE FOR STRAND-LIKE MATERIAL TO BE WOUND
The invention relates to a winding device for winding strand-like material to be wound onto a rotating reel (2), which winding device has a laying apparatus (9) by means of which the material to be wound is guided to the run-on point on the winding. The laying apparatus (9) is substantially movable in the direction of the axis of rotation (3) of the reel (2). Furthermore the winding device (1) has at least one sensor for determining the run-on angle of the material to be wound onto the winding. The winding device (1) is designed in such a way that the movement of the laying apparatus (9) during the winding process is regulated as a function of the run-on angle determined by means of the at least one sensor. According to the invention the distance between the run-off point at which the material to be wound leaves the laying apparatus (9) and the run-on point during the winding process at least at times is at most four times, preferably at most twice, more preferably at most equal to the diameter of the material to be wound. Due to this small distance, a good winding of the reel is achieved, in which the individual turns rest against one another. In particular the crossing over of individual turns is avoided and the material to be wound is treated carefully.
Braid separation apparatus
A braid separation apparatus for separating rope strands of a braided rope, thereby allowing reuse of the separated rope strands, is provided and may include an input assembly configured to move a braided rope made of at least three rope strands, into the apparatus. Further, the apparatus may comprise three or more winding carriers, each being coupled to one of the rope strands. The winding carriers configured to move about each other in serpentine path such that rope strands of the braided rope are separated. Each winding carrier may comprise a spool which is connected to the rope strand coupled to the winding carrier. Each winding carrier may further comprise a torque creating unit configured to provide a torque on the spool and to cause the spool to rotate such that the rope strand is wound around the spool.

Package cradle has at least one movable, partially rotatable frame arm and designed so an empty tube with length of at least 315 mm is insertable, that the package drive roller has length of at least 286 mm, that yarn traversing device has traversing stroke of at least 11 inches, and that opening in cover corresponds with the yarn path arising due to the traversing stroke.
