CIPP liner reel system
A CIPP liner reel system for managing the utilization and deployment of CIPP liners. The CIPP liner reel system generally includes a frame connected to a reel and drive unit. The drive unit is connected to the reel to control the rotation of its core. This core contains an opening that provides access to a connector unit within the core. This connector unit can be used to connect the reel to the end of a CIPP liner using a strap. Rotation of the core causes CIPP liner to wind on to or unwind from the reel. The reel may also contain a left guide member and a right guide member to assist in controlling the process of winding and unwinding the CIPP liner. The frame may also include a tractor connector that enables the CIPP liner reel system to be coupled to and transported by a tractor without affecting its operation.
DRUM ASSEMBLY ADAPTED TO ACCOMMODATE WIRE ACCESS LINES OF VARYING DIAMETERS
One aspect of the disclosed subject matter is seen in a wire access line drum assembly that includes a tubular drum and an insert positionable therein to accommodate wire access lines of varying diameter. The tubular drum has a first and a second end and an inner and outer surface. The insert is positionable adjacent the first end of the tubular drum and has a curved channel formed therein extending between the inner and outer surfaces of the tubular drum. The insert has a ramp substantially coinciding with the outer surface of the drum at a first end portion and extending above the outer surface of the drum at a second end portion adjacent the curved channel. The height of the ramp at the second end portion is selected to be substantially similar to the diameter of the wire access line to be stored on the drum assembly.
Rotatable Cable Reel
A cable reel of the present disclosure can include two flanges and a central drum being independently rotatable from one another. The drum, which can be configured to receive a cable, can be mounted on an axle. The two flanges can be rotationally mounted on the axle at opposing distal ends of the axle.
Apparatus and method for spooling wire
A reel apparatus and method comprising an inner flange assembly, an outer flange assembly, and a bearing assembly coupled to the inner flange assemblies. The inner flange assembly is capable of freely rotating relative to the outer flange assembly. In another embodiment, wire is spooled from a reel assembly comprising an inner flange assembly and an outer flange assembly.
Bearings in the flanges can allow for a full rotation of the flanges about the axle.
Reuseable Spool
A reusable spool has a base and an upper flange. The base has a basal flange and an outer tube having a first end, a second end opposite to the first end, and multiple assembling portions. The first end of the outer tube is connected to the basal flange. The multiple assembling portions are connected to the outer tube, disposed adjacent to the second end of the outer tube, and disposed distantly away from the basal flange. The upper flange is screwed with the base and has a plate and a connecting portion. The plate is disposed parallel to and spaced from the basal flange, and abuts against the second end of the outer tube. The connecting portion is formed at a middle portion of the plate and connected to the multiple assembling portions. The reusable spool is refillable and environmentally friendly.
Cable blowing apparatus and method
A method and reel design enables blowing cable from a reel into a mid-span access point within a cable conduit. The cable reel includes a central hub, a first flange located proximate one edge of the central hub, a second flange located proximate an opposite, second edge of the hub, and a third flange located between the first and second flanges. A continuous communications cable has first and second portions spooled on first and second reel sections. The technician inserts a first end of the communications cable into a mid-span opening in the conduit, so that the first end of the communications cable is directed toward the first end of the conduit. The first portion of cable is blown off of the first reel section. The technician inserts a second end of the communications cable into the opening in the conduit so that the second end of the communications cable is directed toward the second end of the conduit. The second portion of cable is blown off of the second reel section. Then, a mid-portion of the communications cable is separated from the third flange of the cable reel and resides proximate the opening in the conduit.
INDEPENDENTLY ROTATABLE FLANGES AND ATTACHABLE ARBOR HOLE ADAPTERS
A pair of flanges attachable to the arbor hole of a reel is disclosed. The flanges provide a mechanism to allow the reel to be easily loaded, and lifted into place. Once loaded into place, the flanges may include a locking mechanism that locks the reel in place, centered on the flanges. Additionally, the flanges are attachable using a hub that allows them to rotate independently from one another, and from the reel to which they are attached.
Cable support system having multi-position partition
A system for improved cable management is disclosed in several example embodiments. The disclosed embodiments describe example structures for supporting cables, for example telecommunications and fiber optic cables, within a cable storage cabinet. The disclosed embodiments also describe a door for a cable storage cabinet. The example door includes a hinge control and handle system which allows the door to be opened along either side to therefore allow the door to be opened either way from a single handle. The disclosed embodiments also describes an indicator system which informs a user when the door for the cable storage cabinet is in either a closed position or an open position. Each of these embodiments improves the utility and safety of cable management, particularly within cable storage cabinets.
