PRINTER
A printer configured to form an image on roll paper includes a housing configured to house the roll paper and a first guide and a second guide coupled to the housing, the first guide and the second guide each being movable in a width direction of the roll paper, and the first guide being separated from the second guide in the width direction to hold the roll paper therebetween. The printer further includes a detection assembly configured to detect a position of the first guide and a position of the second guide and a controller configured to determine a width of the roll paper based on a detection result of the detection assembly.
Dunnage conversion machine and method with sequential stock roll storage and loading
A support for one or more rolls of sheet stock material includes a sloped support surface for supporting at least one roll, an operating stop toward a lower end of the support surface that defines an operating position at which a stock roll is held for paying out sheet stock material from the roll, and a holding stop. The holding stop extends above the support surface. The holding stop holds one or more rolls at a location spaced from the operating position, and is movable to allow a stock roll to move down the support surface, past the holding stop to the operating position.
LENGTH-ADJUSTABLE FILM APPLICATOR
A film applicator includes an outer tube, an inner tube in the outer tube, and an adjustment assembly in the inner tube. The adjustment assembly has a threaded shaft fixed in the inner tube, a retaining nut mounted around the threaded shaft, a turning knob rotatably mounted around the threaded shaft, and an adjustment ring threadedly provided around the threaded shaft. When at a first position, the adjustment ring pushes the turning knob against the retaining nut and allowing the threaded shaft to rotate the inner tube with respect to the outer tube, thereby adjusting the exposed length of and securing the inner tube. When at a second position, the adjustment ring does not push the turning knob, which therefore cannot drive the inner tube into rotation. The inner tube thus stays at the secured position.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR WEIGHING A SPOOL
A device and a method for weighing a roll of continuous web material on a spool at a weigh-ing station in a continuous process is described, which has fewer mechanical parts and is safer to use than prior devices and methods. The device is arranged adjacent to at least one of a pair of guide rails and comprises a damper and a load cell. wherein the load cell is integrated into at least one guide rail.
SHEET SUPPLYING APPARATUS AND PRINTING APPARATUS
A printing apparatus is configured to perform in a first mode in which a second driving unit drives a second spool to feed out a sheet from a roll to a printing unit via a second guide, the printing unit performs printing on the fed sheet, and a basket unit receives the printed sheet printed on by the printing unit, and a second mode in which a first driving unit drives a first spool to feed the out the sheet from a roll to the printing unit via a first guide, the printing unit performs printing on the fed sheet, and the second driving unit drives the second spool to wind up the printed sheet printed by the printing unit as a roll.
Apparatus for unrolling rolls of insulation in vertical strips from the top down
Apparatus for unrolling rolls of building insulation in vertical strips from the roof eave down, and adapted to be carried by an aerial work platform that in turn is carried by an elevator, has a pair of spars as well as an arbor and a tensioning control mechanism. The spars are spaced apart and are mounted to as well as project away from the aerial work platform. The arbor is carried between the spaced spars for inserting through the core of a role of insulation and allowing the insulation to be unrolled from the roll in the form of strips to be hung on the building. The tensioning control mechanism is provided for controlling the unrolling of the roll.
Sheet supplying apparatus and printing apparatus
A sheet can be securely drawn out of a sheet roll irrespective of an outer diameter of the sheet roll, and then, can be conveyed. A driven roller moves according to the outer diameter of the sheet roll, so as to be brought into press-contact with an outer periphery of the sheet roll from below, with respect to the direction of gravity, irrespective of the outer diameter of the sheet roll. An arm member moves according to the outer diameter of the sheet roll, so as to guide a lower side of the sheet drawn through above the driven roller irrespective of the outer diameter of the sheet roll.
Sheet feeding device and image forming apparatus incorporating same
A sheet feeding device includes a sensor, a roller, a support, circuitry, and a spool. The sensor detects a step at a leading end of a sheet roll. The roller and the sensor are disposed at different positions in a circumferential direction of the sheet roll. The support supports the sensor and the roller to bring the sensor and the roller into contact with the sheet roll. The circuitry acquires a sensor signal. The spool is insertable through a sheet tube of the sheet roll to rotate the sheet roll. The sensor and the roller face an axial center of the spool. The support is pivotable within a range in which the sensor does not contact the spool. The circuitry detects first and second inclinations of the sensor signal when the leading end passes by the roller and the sensor, respectively, to determine whether the leading end is present.
Wonderful Wraps
A wrapping paper dispensing device includes a container, a first internal roll, a second internal roll, and flaps. The container includes a rear wall, front wall, left-side wall, middle wall, right-side wall, top wall, and a bottom wall. The container is divided into a first section to dispense a wrapping paper and a second section to dispense adhesive tape. The first internal roll secures the wrapping paper. The second internal roll secures the adhesive tape. The first section includes a first serrated cutting blade and the second section includes a second serrated cutting blade. The first serrated cutting blade is positioned on an exterior surface of the front wall to severe the wrapping paper. The second serrated cutting blade is positioned on the exterior surface of the front wall to sever the adhesive tape.
Label container and dispenser
An apparatus and method for holding and dispensing labels. A container provides for both packaging and dispensing continuous feed labels. A bottom portion of the container includes a detachable portion for improved label feed. At least one of the bottom portion or a lid includes cutout to support a roll for a label roll. The detachable portion improves label feeding from the container, particularly near the end of the label supply. The bottom portion of the container can also be stacked on the lid to raise the labels to a better feed geometry.
