DISPENSER
A sheet dispenser system having a roll of sheet material and a housing to receive the roll. The roll of sheet material comprises a first end portion incorporating a key, and the housing comprises a mounting portion arranged to support the first end portion of the roll. The mounting portion comprises a lock arrangement which is movable between a locked condition and a free condition. The lock arrangement comprises a rotatable element configured for rotation about an axis, and a locking element configured for engagement with the rotatable element to inhibit rotation of the rotatable element, such that, when the locking element and the rotatable element are engaged, the lock arrangement occupies the locked condition, and when the locking element and the rotatable element are disengaged, the lock arrangement occupies the free condition. The mounting portion is arranged such that the roll is movable between an engaged condition, in which the key engages the mounting portion, and a disengaged condition, in which the key is disengaged from the mounting portion, such that, when the roll is moved from the disengaged to the engaged condition, the first end portion of the roll moves the lock arrangement into the free condition, thereby permitting rotation of the rotatable element. The locking element and the rotatable element are configured for engagement by relative movement of the locking element and the rotatable element towards each other in a direction along the axis of rotation of the rotatable element.
Printing Apparatus
A printing apparatus includes: a main body; a cover; a pair of supporters including a movable supporter; a first urging member configured to urge the movable supporter in an approach direction; an engaging member movable between a separated position and an engaged position; and a second urging member configured to urge the engaging member toward the engaged position. When the cover is in an open state, the engaging member is located at the engaged position by an urging force of the second urging member so as to inhibit movement of the movable supporter in the approach direction. When the cover is in a closed state, the engaging member is located at the separated position against the urging force of the second urging member by contact of the cover with the engaging member so as not to inhibit the movement of the movable supporter in the approach direction.
WINDER AND A METHOD FOR WINDING A ROLL FROM A FIBROUS WEB
The present invention relates to a w winder (1) for winding a web roll (2) from a fibrous web such as a paper web or a web of non-woven 12 material paper (2). The winder (1) comprises two support rolls (3, 4) for supporting the web roll (2) during reeling and a core shaft (5) for winding the paper reel (2). At each longitudinal end of the core shaft (5), there is a carrier chuck (6) in which the core shaft (5) is rotatably journalled. The carrier chucks to are arranged to be movable in a frame towards or away from the support rolls (3, 4) and a rider roll (8) is arranged to be capable of acting against the web roll (2) being wound. The rider roll (8) is carried by a rider roll beam (9) and the rider roll beam (9) is arranged to be movable in the frame (7) such that the rider roll (8) can be moved towards or away from the support rolls (3, 4). There is at least one actuator (10) for moving the rider roll beam (9) towards or away from the support rolls (3, 4); and at least one load cell (12) arranged to detect the force between the rider roll (8) and the web roll (2). The winder (1) also comprises at least one actuator (11) for moving the carrier chucks (6) of the core shaft (5) independently of the rider roll beam (9) and the winder (1) comprises at least one load cell (13) arranged to detect the force with which the carrier chucks (6) act on the core shaft (5). The winder (1) also comprises a logic control system (14) connected to the load cells (12, 13) such that the logic control system (14) receives measured values for the force between the web roll (2) and the rider roll (8) and the force with which the carrier chucks (6) act on the core shaft (5). The logic control system (14) is programmed to control movement of the carrier chucks (6) and the rider roll beam (9) such that the sum of the forces detected from the load cells (12, 13) and the force resulting from a calculated weight of the web roll (2) corresponds to a set value for the force between the web roll (2) and the support rolls (3, 4). Method of managing the feeding of an elongated element to a tyre building station
A method for managing the continuous feeding of an elongate element wound on reels to a station for building a tire, wherein the elongate element is continuously supplied from an unwinding device of successive reels. When the terminal end of the elongate element wound on a first reel leaves said first reel, the method provides for: the first reel to be moved away from the unwinding device on a first movable carriage; a second reel, successive to the first reel, and mounted on a second movable carriage, to be positioned in place of the first reel; and the terminal end of the elongate element previously wound on the first reel, to be joined to the starting end of the elongate element wound on the second reel.
Apparatus for dispensing rolled material
A rolled material dispensing apparatus including a housing, a frame, first and second retention structure, first and second ball bearings, first and second biasing components, and mounting structure. Sides of the frame form an open-front dispensing chamber and include first and second apertures for at least partially receiving the ball bearings therethrough. The retention structure retain the ball bearings and biasing components therein. The ball bearings may be urged out of the way of the roll of material when the roll is loaded into the apparatus. The biasing components urge the ball bearings at least partially through the apertures into ends of the roll when the roll is in a loaded position for retaining the roll in the dispensing chamber.
Safety chuck
A safety chuck mounted to equipment that process web material is provided. The safety chuck is provided with a die spring connecting a moveable jaw with a spindle, said spring urging the moveable jaw into a fully closed position. A number of magnets mounted on a mounting flange will engage the moveable jaw, overcoming the spring's force and holding the moveable jaw in a fully open position. Rotation of the spindle releases the magnets allowing the spring to force the moveable jaw back into a fully closed position.
