Document storage assembly
The present disclosure is to provide a document storage assembly including a housing, a guiding plate, a supporting plate, and a displacement assembly. The supporting plate has at least one engagement structure, in which the guiding plate and the supporting plate define a storage space therebetween. The displacement assembly is configured to move the supporting plate towards or away from the guiding plate along a direction, in which the displacement assembly includes at least one first belt, at least one second belt, and a synchronous transmission assembly. The first belt has an engaging section parallel to the direction and is engaged with the engagement structure. The second belt is located under the storage space and has a supporting section parallel to the direction. The synchronous transmission assembly is configured to drive the engaging section and the supporting section to move at the same speed.
Sheet processing device and image formation apparatus provided with the same
A sheet processing device includes a plurality of first units and a second unit. The first units each include, as one unit, a pressing member that presses a folding loop, a frame that movably holds the pressing member in a sheet pressing direction, and an elastic member that is disposed between the frame and the pressing member to bias the pressing member in the sheet pressing direction. The second unit supports, as one unit, a plurality of rows of first units such that the first units of each row are arranged, as a pair, so as to be opposed to each other and that an interval between the pairs is reduced stepwise from a downstream side to an upstream side in a moving direction of the second unit.
Document folder having a controlled drop feeder
This disclosure describes various aspect of a unique standalone document handler that is coupable to and controllable by a fulfillment. The standalone documents handler is attachable to a standard printer or copier and has a drop chute that is designed to hold groups of fulfillment documents and drop them into a fulfillment receptacle positioned under the document handler. Upper and lower scanners scan document identification codes placed on one or more pages of the fulfillment document, which allows a system controller to control the timing of dispensing the correct documents in the designated fulfillment receptacle at the correct time.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes: an accommodating unit that accommodates a sheet in a state of extending along a gravity direction; a delivery unit that delivers the sheet from an upper end of the accommodating unit; a recording unit that is disposed in an upper portion of a main body of the image forming apparatus and that records an image on the sheet; a discharge unit that is disposed below the recording unit in the gravity direction, the sheet having the image recorded by the recording unit being discharged to the discharge unit; and an opening/closing member supported in the upper portion of the main body of the image forming apparatus to open or close the upper portion of the main body of the image forming apparatus.
Apparatus and method for filling a thin-walled transport container
A device (10, 100) for supplying notes of pecuniary value (24) to a thin-walled transport container (12) includes a stacking unit (20) for stacking the notes of pecuniary value (24) to be supplied to form a stack of notes of pecuniary value in a stacking region (26). In addition, the device (10, 100) has a closure unit (40) which, in a closed position, is arranged in such a manner that it closes the opening of the thin-walled transport container (12) and which, in an open position, is arranged in such a manner that notes of pecuniary value (24) are suppliable to the thin-walled transport container (12)
Post process control apparatus, method of controlling the same, sheet processing system, and storage medium
The present invention provides a post process control apparatus including a post processing unit configured to perform post processing on a printed sheet printed in accordance with a job, and a method for controlling the same, where the post process control apparatus and the method of controlling the same obtain a number of sheets in one copy of printed sheets instructed by the job, control the post processing unit to, if the obtained number of sheets in one copy is singular, execute the post processing in one batch on printed sheets corresponding to a plurality of copies, and to control the post processing unit to, if the obtained number of sheets in one copy is plural, execute the post processing individually by printed sheets corresponding to one copy.
Method for automated filling of a mail tray from a vertical stacker
An automated mail tray filling apparatus for taking envelopes from a vertical stacker output of an inserter machine and placing them in mail trays. A vertical stack of envelopes rests on a long stacker table. The mail tray filling apparatus has a track positioned next the vertical stacker table parallel to the length of the vertical stacker table. A mail tray transport is positioned beneath the track and arranged to transport mail trays beneath the track in a direction parallel to the vertical stacker table. A movable mail tray filler is movably mounted on the track to travel in parallel next to the vertical stacker table and above the mail tray transport, and is arranged to withdraw envelopes from the end of the vertical stack in a sideways direction. Envelopes are then redirected into a downward direction and fed into a mail tray positioned beneath the movable mail tray filler.
SYSTEMS, DEVICES AND METHODS FOR RECEIVING AN ITEM
Systems, devices and methods for receiving an item in a receptacle are disclosed. Features are disclosed for receiving and guiding an item in a receiving space of a receptacle so as to attenuate or remove the impact force of the item on the receptacle. Some embodiments of the disclosure include a bumper having an impact surface which absorbs most or all of the impact force of the item and thereby mitigates or removes the imposition of cyclic impact loads on the receptacle from repeated receipt of items. The bumper may be structurally and/or functionally de-coupled or otherwise physically separated from the receptacle such that an advantageous division of labor is created between absorbing the impact and receiving the item. This disclosure may be useful, for example, in modern industrial operations where a high volume of items are received daily, such as in mail sorting and handling operations.
Sheet processing apparatus and image forming apparatus
A control portion controls a distance H and/or a shift amount L1 such that a relationship of L<HL+L1 holds, where L is a length of each sheet among the sheet bundle in the conveyance direction, H is a distance from the conveyance roller pair to an end regulation member in the conveyance direction, and L1 is a shift amount between a first sheet among the sheet bundle and a second sheet adjacent the first sheet. The second sheet is conveyed toward the end regulation member by the conveyance roller pair in the state in which the leading edge of the preceding sheet is in contact with the end regulation member.
SHEET PROCESSING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING DEVICE PROVIDED WITH THE SAME
A sheet processing device that bonds sheets to one another and then folds a resultant sheet bundle. The sheet processing device includes a stacker section that sequentially stores sheets moved thereto, an adhesive-binding unit that applies an adhesive onto sheets sequentially stored in the stacker section one by one in a sheet moving direction to bond the sheets to one another, a moving member that moves the sheets to an application position of the adhesive-binding unit, and a folding processing section that folds a sheet bundle formed by the bonded sheets at a predetermined folding position. When the number of sheets to be bonded by the adhesive-binding unit applying the adhesive onto the sheets exceeds a predetermined number, the adhesive is applied at two positions separated from each other across the folding position.
