CONTROL OF PUFF PROFILE
Heat not burn products comprising an encapsulated aerosol generating agent, the encapsulation having the effect of controlling the release of the agent during use of the heat not burn product. The encapsulation will control the timing of the release of the aerosol generating agent during the use of the heat not burn product, to allow greater control of the puff yield. In the case of some aerosol generating agents, the encapsulation may also increase the stability of the agent and/or prevent its migration within the product.
METHODS AND MACHINES FOR POUCHING SMOKELESS TOBACCO AND TOBACCO SUBSTITUTE PRODUCTS
A melt-blown fabric for pouching smokeless tobacco or a smokeless tobacco substitute can include melt-blown polymer fibers. The fabric can have a basis weight of less than 30 gsm and a tensile strength of at least 4 mJ in at least one predetermined direction. Method of making the fabric can include melt-blowing a polymeric material against a support surface and bonding the fibers or arranging them in a predetermined orientation. Pouched smokeless tobacco or tobacco substitute products including the fabrics provided herein can provide desirable flavor and tactile experience.
AEROSOL-GENERATING FILM
An aerosol-generating film having a tobacco content of less than 1 percent by weight is provided, the aerosol-generating film including: a cellulose based film-forming agent; a non-cellulose based thickening agent; water; nicotine; and a polyhydric alcohol, a content of cellulose based film-forming agent being at least about 14 wt percent weight and less than or equal to about 26 wt percent, and a content of water being less than about 30 wt percent and a content of polyhydric alcohol is at least about 30 wt percent.
SMOKELESS ARTICLE
A smokeless article for oral consumption including a pouch, the pouch including a porous substrate enclosing a content, the content having a nicotinic compound, wherein the porous substrate has a continuous coatl8ing of a non-porous, saliva-stable material, and wherein the coating is frangible, such that in use the coating fractures on chewing. Also described is a method of manufacturing a smokeless articles for oral consumption the method including applying a coating material to a sheet of a porous substrate to provide a coated sheet of porous substrate, the coated sheet of porous substrate having a continuous coating of a non-porous, saliva-stable material; a forming step; and a sealing step, wherein the coating formed by the coating material is frangible.
AEROSOL-GENERATING ARTICLE COMPRISING AN AEROSOL-GENERATING FILM
An aerosol-generating article is provided, including: a tubular carrier element defining a longitudinally extending internal cavity; and a layer of an aerosol-generating film applied to a portion of an inner surface of the tubular carrier element, such that an outer surface of the aerosol-generating film is exposed to the internal cavity of the tubular carrier element, the aerosol-generating film including at least 25 percent by weight of a polyhydric alcohol, and a thickness of the layer of the aerosol-generating film being between 0.05 millimeter and 1.0 millimeter. An aerosol-generating substrate for an aerosol-generating article, a method of making an aerosol-generating article, and an aerosol-generating system are also provided.
Nicotine Chew Device for Denture Users
The present invention relates generally to the field of chewing products. More specifically, the present invention relates to a nicotine chew device for denture users. The device can be used by a denture wearer in order to quit smoking by chewing the device to release nicotine. Further, the device is preferably comprised of a base, sweetener, softener/plasticizer agent, flavoring agent, coloring agent, and wax coating. In one embodiment, the chew may have a wax base and/or wax coating that does not stick to the surface of dentures. In various embodiments, the wax base and wax coating may be nicotine infused.
Gel Aerosol-Forming Substrate Cartridge that Can be inserted into Electrically Heated Smoking Article, Electrically Heated Smoking Article Including the Same, and Aerosol Generating Device and System Therefor
The present invention provides a gel aerosol-forming substrate cartridge that can be inserted into an electrically heated smoking article, the gel aerosol-forming substrate cartridge comprising: a gel aerosol-forming substrate containing glycerin and gelatin, which exists in gel form, semi-solid form, or solidified form in a first temperature range including room temperature, changes to a liquid form in a second temperature range including 70° C., and is vaporized into an aerosol in a temperature range of 150 to 400° C.; a gel receptor that receives the gel aerosol-forming substrate; and wrapping paper wrapped around the side of the gel receptor in a cylindrical shape measuring 7 to 20 mm long and 5 to 8 mm in diameter, and also provides an electrically heated smoking article comprising: a filter; the gel aerosol-forming substrate cartridge located upstream of the filter; and a tobacco filler containing shredded tobacco located upstream of the filter and located upstream or downstream of the gel aerosol-forming substrate cartridge, wherein the filter, gel aerosol-forming substrate cartridge, and tobacco filler are wrapped in wrapping paper to form a cigarette.
AEROSOL GENERATION
An aerosol generating system comprising (i) an aerosol generating article comprising a flavorant, and (ii) an aerosol generating device comprising an induction heater, wherein during operation, the article is inserted into the device and an aerosol is generated by using the induction heater to heat the aerosol generating material to at least 150° C., wherein at least 1 μg of flavorant is aerosolized from the aerosol generating material under an airflow of at least 1.50 L/m during a two-second period.
CUSTOMIZABLE PRINTABLE SOLUTIONS FOR DELIVERY OF INHALANTS
Generating a printable inhalant solution may include selecting identifiers for one or more identified chemicals and creating, for each identified chemical, a chemical specification that includes at least a quantity of the chemical. The chemical specifications in the aggregate may include a chemical signature of the selected identified chemicals.
