Immobilized diluents for smoking articles
Immobilized diluents in a smoking article are provided, wherein diluents can be immobilized through absorption and/or adsorption of the diluents into immobilizing materials, such as sorbents like silica gels. By immobilizing diluents, the diluents can be available for vaporization, while still being protected from migration and/or loss of the diluents in a smoking article.
SMOKELESS TOBACCO LIPID GRANULES
A smokeless tobacco product includes a plurality of orally disintegrable granules. Each granule has a lipid core and at least one layer surrounding the core. The core can also include binders, powdered tobacco carbohydrates, water soluble polymers, flavorants, salts, sweeteners, and combinations thereof. The orally disintegrable granules can provide a pleasing texture and/or flavor experience.
AEROSOL-GENERATING ARTICLE INCLUDING THERMALLY CONDUCTIVE MATERIAL
According to some embodiments, there may be provided an aerosol-generating article including a tobacco medium section prepared from a mixture including tobacco powder and thermally conductive powder. The mixture may include, based on dry weight, less than 20 wt % of the thermally conductive powder.
AN ARTICLE FOR USE WITH AN APPARATUS FOR HEATING AN AEROSOL GENERATING AGENT
An article for use with an apparatus for heating aerosol generating agent to volatilize at least one component of the aerosol generating agent, the article including a support layer having a first surface, wherein at least a portion of the first surface is rough and an aerosol generating agent on the portion of the first surface that is rough.
TOBACCO BEADS
A smokeless tobacco product described herein includes at least one tobacco bead. Tobacco beads described herein include a core and at least one tobacco-containing layer surrounding the core. Each tobacco-containing layer can include less than 10 weight percent tobacco. Tobacco bead described herein can have a diameter of at least 1 millimeters. Tobacco bead described herein can have at least 5 mg tobacco. Tobacco bead described herein can have an oven volatiles content of between 2 weight percent and 10 weight percent. Tobacco bead described herein can have an outer shell.
Oral products with improved binding of active ingredients
The disclosure provides products configured for oral use, the products including compositions comprising a filler component including negatively charged groups and an active ingredient including positively charged groups. The active ingredient can be retained by the filler component at least in part through bonding between the negatively charged groups and the positively charged groups such that active ingredient may be release from the product when positioned within an oral cavity of a consumer.
Methods and machines for pouching smokeless tobacco and tobacco substitute products
A melt-blown fabric for pouching smokeless tobacco or a smokeless tobacco substitute can include melt-blown polymer fibers. The fabric can have a basis weight of less than 30 gsm and a tensile strength of at least 4 mJ in at least one predetermined direction. Method of making the fabric can include melt-blowing a polymeric material against a support surface and bonding the fibers or arranging them in a predetermined orientation. Pouched smokeless tobacco or tobacco substitute products including the fabrics provided herein can provide desirable flavor and tactile experience.
Purification of tobacco-derived protein compositions
The disclosure describes methods for the purification of protein-enriched extracts to provide concentrates and isolates and methods for incorporation of such materials into products. The purification methods are adapted for removal of nicotine and may have other benefits, e.g., lightening the color of the protein-enriched extracts. The methods generally include treatment with peracetic acid or hydrogen peroxide and filtrations. A protein composition in the form of a concentrate or isolate is provided, the protein composition including RuBisCO, F2 fraction proteins, or combination thereof extracted from a plant of the Nicotiana species, wherein the protein composition is characterized by relatively low nicotine content.

Fabric for White Snus Pouch
A pouch suitable for a white snus, wherein the white snus includes carrier material and nicotine without tobacco being present, includes a fabric, and a surface of the fabric is at least partially coated with an odorizing composition including tobacco particles having an average size ≤30 μm. A method for manufacturing a pouch for white snus includes the steps of providing fabric, providing an odorizing composition including tobacco particles having an average size ≤30 μm, coating at least parts of a surface of the fabric with the odorizing composition, forming a pouch from the fabric and filling a white snus composition in the pouch. The odorizing composition is an ink, preferably including a liquid and a coloring agent, wherein the liquid is preferably selected from a group including water, propylene glycol, and glycerin, propylene glycol, and glycerin.
