APPLICATION OF A FLAVORANT PARTICLE IN A FILTER OF A SMOKING ARTICLE FOR DELIVERING FLAVOR
A method of manufacturing flavorant particles includes melting a food grade wax and a flavorant into a molten wax; solidifying the molten wax; and grinding the solidified molten wax into a plurality of flavorant particles. Another method of manufacturing flavorant particles includes melting a food grade wax and a flavorant into a molten wax, the molten wax having a melting temperature between about 50° C. to about 70° C.; and spray-chilling the molten wax into at least one solid flavorant particle, the solid flavorant particle having a diameter of between about 0.1 mm to about 2.0 mm.
Article for use with an apparatus for heating an aerosol generating agent
An article for use with an apparatus for heating aerosol generating agent to volatilize at least one component of the aerosol generating agent, the article including a support layer having a first surface, wherein at least a portion of the first surface is rough and an aerosol generating agent on the portion of the first surface that is rough.
METHOD FOR PREPARING TAR EXTRACT HAVING AROMATIC CHARACTERISTICS BY USING DISCARDED CIGARETTE BUTT, AND USE THEREOF IN CIGARETTE
A method for preparing a tar extract with aroma characteristics from a discarded cigarette butt includes: (1) adding the discarded cigarette butt to an extraction solvent, and carrying out subcritical fluid extraction to obtain an extraction solution; (2) carrying out vacuum filtration on the extraction solution, and carrying out vacuum distillation on the filtrate to obtain a concentrated extractum; and (3) carrying out molecular distillation on the concentrated extractum, and collecting a light fraction of the molecular distillation to obtain the tar extract with aroma characteristics. Through the subcritical fluid extraction and separation by the molecular distillation to prepare the tar extract, harmful substances in the tar are removed, and the aroma components are retained. The tar extract is applied to a cigarette to improve the aroma, smoke and taste characteristics of the cigarette.
AEROSOL-GENERATING ARTICLE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF THE SAME
The present disclosure provides an aerosol-generating article including an aerosol generator including: an aerosol generator comprising an aerosol-generating material configure to vaporize into an aerosol; a tobacco filling part comprising an inner wrapper on which a plurality of folds are formed, and granules of a tobacco material attached to the plurality of folds such that a tobacco component is added to the aerosol passing through the tobacco filling part; and a thermally conductive wrapper wrapped around at least part of outer surfaces of the aerosol generator and the tobacco filling part, and configured to transmit heat to the aerosol-generating material and the tobacco material.
Tamp-and-stir apparatus and process therefor
A machine and method for packaging tobacco sachets, comprising a plurality of linearly arranged, multi-functional, vertically moveable chambers having fluid sealing means on lower portions thereof, conveyor means disposed below the plurality of multi-functional, vertically moveable chambers, and a lidding apparatus disposed downstream of and in communication with the plurality of vertically moveable chambers through the conveyor means.

AEROSOL GENERATING DEVICE
Provided is an aerosol generating device including a battery, a first cartridge including a first material containing nicotine and a pH adjuster and a first heater configured to heat the first material, and a controller configured to control power supplied to the first heater from the battery.
Breakable capsules and methods of forming thereof
A breakable capsule such as a seamless breakable capsule useful in a smoking article or a smokeless tobacco product includes an outer shell formed of a cross-linked agar matrix including at least one filler, and an inner core surrounded by the outer shell which comprises a liquid or gel based composition of a flavorant and/or non-flavorant. The cross-linked agar matrix is reinforced with carboxymethyl cellulose that is dispersed throughout the agar matrix so as to fill empty spaces in the agar matrix and inhibit the composition from passing through the empty spaces of the agar matrix.
