Each of the pair of second rollers includes a second large diameter section and a second small diameter section. The second large diameter section holds the sheet between the second large diameter section and the first small diameter section. The second small diameter section holds the sheet between the second small diameter section and the first large diameter section.

According to one embodiment, a sheet processing device includes a pair of folding rollers, a blade, and a fold-enhancing unit. The pair of folding rollers are provided rotatably about an axial line extending in an axial direction. The pair of folding rollers form a first nip. The blade pushes a sheet into the first nip along an imaginary reference plane including the first nip. The blade forms a fold line on the sheet in cooperation with the pair of folding rollers. The fold-enhancing unit enhances the fold line on the sheet passed through the first nip. The fold-enhancing unit includes a first member and a second member. The first member and the second member form a second nip on one side of the imaginary reference plane along a direction of a normal line to the imaginary reference plane and sandwich the fold line.

The lifting device is a device for lifting a sheet-shaped member, and includes a main suction plate configured to make surface contact with a central portion of the sheet-shaped member and adsorb the central portion; a sub suction plate configured to make surface contact with an edge portion of the sheet-shaped member located outside the central portion and adsorb the edge portion; and a lifting unit connected to the main suction plate and the sub suction plate respectively to raise or lower the main suction plate and the sub suction plate, wherein the lifting unit is configured to lift the main suction plate and the sub suction plate when the main suction plate and the sub suction plate adsorb the sheet-shaped member, so that the sub suction plate is raised before the main suction plate.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR REMOVING WRINKLES FROM SHEET MATERIAL

An apparatus for removing wrinkles from a sheet material, includes: an expander roll that rotates in a bent state with respect to a rotation axis bent to straighten and remove wrinkles formed in a sheet material being transferred to be wrinkle-removed; a roll bender that generates a bending moment to bend the expander roll; a roll rotator that rotates the expander roll; a roll controller that controls the operation of the roll bender and the roll rotator; a vision camera that photographs one surface of the sheet material being wrinkle-removed, so as to generate an input image; and a wrinkle detection module that detects wrinkles in the sheet material to be detected, using the input image.
