PRINTING APPARATUS, CONTROL METHOD OF PRINTING APPARATUS, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A printing apparatus includes a control unit configured to control a printing unit to start printing on sheets after confirming that a number of sheets used for printing does not exceed an upper limit number of sheets bindable by a first binding processing in a case where the first binding processing is specified and control the printing unit to start printing on sheets without confirming that a number of sheets used for printing does not exceed an upper limit number of sheets bindable by a second binding processing in a case where the second binding processing is specified.
SHEET POST-PROCESSING APPARATUS
According to an embodiment, a sheet post-processing apparatus according to the embodiment includes a paddle member and a controller. The paddle member rotates around a rotating shaft, presses a plurality of sheets held on a processing tray against a stopper and aligns ends of the sheets in a sheet transport direction. After the ends of the sheets in the sheet transport direction are aligned, the controller further rotates the paddle member, and stops rotation of the paddle member in a state that the paddle member comes in contact with the sheets held on the processing tray.
SHEET PROCESSING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS HAVING THE SAME
A sheet binding processing apparatus includes a conveying portion, a conveying path for sheets, a stacking portion on which sheets from the conveying path are stacked, a first regulating portion for regulating a sheet bundle on the stacking portion in a crossing direction, a second regulating portion for regulating a sheet bundle in the conveying direction, a manual setting portion for setting sheets from an outside of the apparatus, and a binding device which binds a sheet bundle by a staple and moves in the crossing direction. An angular posture of the binding device located at a third position is different from an angular posture located at a first position. An angular posture of the binding device located at the third position is different from an angular posture located at a second position. The second position is located at a second side of the first position.
Medium transport device and medium processing apparatus
A medium transport device includes a feeding unit that transports a medium, a stack portion that receives the medium transported by the feeding unit between a support surface for supporting the medium in an inclined posture in which a downstream side in a transport direction is directed downward and an opposing surface opposing the support surface and stacks the medium, an alignment portion that aligns a downstream end of the medium stacked in the stack portion, a paddle that is provided between the feeding unit and the alignment portion in the transport direction and moves the medium toward the alignment portion by rotating while being in contact with the medium, and a control unit that controls an operation of the paddle, in which the control unit controls the operation of the paddle according to a condition.
SHEET FOLDING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM HAVING THE SAME
A sheet folding apparatus includes: a conveying roller conveying a sheet in a predetermined conveying direction; a folding roller pair disposed downstream of the conveying roller in the conveying direction and rotating while nipping a predetermined position of the sheet to form a fold; a conveying path for conveying the sheet in the conveying direction from the conveying roller to the folding roller pair; an abutting member moving downstream in the conveying direction and abutting against the predetermined position of the sheet to bend the sheet downstream; and a loop space where the sheet is bent between the conveying roller and folding roller pair in a direction crossing the conveying direction. The folding roller pair stops while nipping a front end of the sheet fed from to form a loop of the sheet in the loop space, and the abutting member moves to abut against the loop.
Postprocessing apparatus and image processing system
A postprocessing apparatus includes a horizontal alignment plate, a binder, a tray, and a shift actuator assembly. The horizontal alignment plate is positioned to align sheets in a sheet width direction. The binder binds sheets to form bound sheet bundles. The bound sheet bundles are stacked on the tray. The shift actuator assembly shifts the bound sheet bundles in the sheet width direction. A postprocessing controller controls the shift actuator assembly to shift the bound sheet bundles such that swollen portions of the bound sheet bundles are shifted inward of the horizontal alignment plate in the sheet width direction when the processed sheets are piled on the tray to the vicinity of the horizontal alignment plate.
MEDIUM PROCESSING DEVICE, STORAGE MEDIUM, AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM
A medium processing apparatus includes a liquid applier, a crimper, a stapler, and circuitry. The liquid applier applies liquid to a liquid application position of a medium. The crimper presses and deforms at least a part to which the liquid is applied by the liquid applier, to bind a plurality of media including the medium to which the liquid is applied. The stapler performs stapling with a staple on a medium bundle in which the plurality of media is bound by the crimper. The circuitry controls operations of the crimper, the liquid applier, and the stapler, and selectively switches between first binding performed by the liquid applier and the crimper and second binding performed by only the stapler, in accordance with information on the medium or a binding position at which the medium bundle is bound by the crimper.
Paper feed and biasing system and method for stapler unit
A finisher assembly of a multifunction peripheral includes a vertically oriented stapler and a paper transport motor. When the paper transport motor rotates in the forward direction, printed pages from the print engine of the multifunction peripheral are received via a paper chute and a feed assist roller urges the printed pages into a vertical paper accumulation cache basin. Rotation of the paper transport motor also opens a biasing plate allowing the pages to freely enter the cache basin. Once all of the pages of the print job are in the cache basin, the paper transport motor rotates in the reverse direction causing the biasing plate to bias the printed pages, in the cache basin, against a registration surface of the vertically oriented stapler unit. The pages of the print job are stapled together the stapled print job is moved to the paper tray for collection by a user.
Recording material processing apparatus and image forming system
A recording material processing apparatus includes first teeth that are used for binding processing of a recording material bundle; second teeth that move toward the first teeth and press the recording material bundle located between the first teeth and the second teeth; a guide portion that guides an interlocking portion interlocking with the second teeth; and a guided portion that is provided in the interlocking portion and guided by the guide portion, in which one of the guide portion and the guided portion includes a hole, and the other includes a rod-shaped portion that extends in a movement direction of the interlocking portion and comes into contact with an inner surface of the hole.
RECORDING MATERIAL PROCESSING APPARATUS
A recording material processing apparatus includes: first teeth that are used for binding processing of a recording material bundle; second teeth configured to move toward the first teeth and to press the recording material bundle positioned between the first teeth and the second teeth; a first metal block configured to support the first teeth; and a second metal block configured to support the second teeth.
