The first binding portion binds a corner portion of a sheet bundle by a staple. The second binding member is located at a downstream of the first binding member in the conveying direction.
RECORDING MATERIAL PROCESSING APPARATUS OR IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM EACH OF WHICH EXECUTES STAPLING PROCESS
A recording material processing apparatus includes a processing tray, a detecting unit, a stapling unit, an instructing unit, a control unit, a switching unit, and a notifying unit. The detecting unit detects recording material placed in the processing tray. The stapling unit executes a stapling process for the recording material placed in the processing tray. The instructing unit outputs a stapling process execution instruction. Upon receipt of the execution instruction in a state in which the detecting unit has detected a recording material inserted in the processing tray from an outside of a main body of a main body apparatus, the control unit cause the stapling process to be executed. The switching unit switches a position of the stapling unit among a plurality of positions. The notifying unit provides notification of a placement position of the recording material in the processing tray corresponding to each of the plurality of positions.
Staple-refill
A staple-refill 11 is provided with: a casing 12 in which a plurality of sheet-type connected staples 10 are stacked; a staple inserting port 14; a staple discharge port 16; a cover member 15 which covers the sheet-type connected staples 10 in the casing 12 from a side of the staple inserting port 14; and a notch portion 18 formed in the casing 12 and extending from an edge of the staple inserting port 14 in an insertion direction.
Finisher, non-transitory computer-readable recording medium and method for controlling transportation of media sheets
Provided are a finisher, a non-transitory computer-readable recording medium and a method for controlling transportation of media sheets. The finisher includes a sheet transporter, a sheet cutter for dividing each printed media sheet into multiple cut media sheets by cutting, a sheet inserter that inserts insertion sheets into the sheet path, a sheet stacker for stacking the cut media sheets and the insertion sheets transported by the sheet transporter, a sheet buffer disposed on a branch line branching off from the sheet path, and a controller. The controller sets a sheet insertion mode to a pre-sheet insertion mode or a post-sheet insertion mode, and causes the sheet transporter to transport a part of cut media sheets or an insertion sheet into the sheet buffer and change the order of the sheets in the sheet path so that the insertion sheet is positioned between the cut media sheets.
IMAGE READING DEVICE AND STAPLE DETERMINATION METHOD
An image reading device includes: a document delivery unit for delivering a document loaded on a document loading platform to a document transport path; a flip-up detector for detecting flip-up of the document when the document is delivered; a metal detector for detecting metal attached to the document when the document is delivered; and a staple determination unit for determining whether or not a stapling process is applied to the document based on detection results of the flip-up detector and the metal detector.
SHEET CONVEYING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM THEREWITH
A sheet conveying device includes a sheet conveying passage, an upper conveying guide provided in the sheet conveying passage and facing the upper surface of a sheet, a lower conveying guide facing the lower surface of the sheet, a conveying member conveying the sheet along the sheet conveying passage, a sheet stack tray arranged above the upper conveying guide. The upper conveying guide is swingable up and down, with one end part of it in the sheet conveying direction or in the sheet width direction perpendicular to the sheet conveying direction serving as a pivot shaft. The sheet stack tray has a movable part making contact with the upper conveying guide at least when it swings, and the movable part is movable between a sheet receiving position where it forms a sheet stack surface and a retracted position where it has swung upward from the sheet receiving position.
Stapling apparatus and method of controlling stapling apparatus
A stapling apparatus including a holding portion that receives and holds a plurality of mediums, a first matching portion positioned downstream of the holding portion, a paddle that applies sending force to the mediums so that leading edge sides of the mediums reach the first matching portion, a stapler that binds the mediums, the leading edge sides of the mediums having been matched by the first matching portion, a folding mechanism portion that folds the mediums that have been bound by the stapler. In the stapling apparatus, the first matching portion is configured to move and is configured to transport the mediums to a performing position of the stapler and a performing position of the folding mechanism portion by moving, and a position where the paddle applies sending force to the mediums differs according to lengths of the mediums in a transport direction.
Postprocessing apparatus and image processing system
A postprocessing apparatus includes a horizontal alignment plate, a binder, a tray, and a shift actuator assembly. The horizontal alignment plate is positioned to align sheets in a sheet width direction. The binder binds sheets to form bound sheet bundles. The bound sheet bundles are stacked on the tray. The shift actuator assembly shifts the bound sheet bundles in the sheet width direction. A postprocessing controller controls the shift actuator assembly to shift the bound sheet bundles such that swollen portions of the bound sheet bundles are shifted inward of the horizontal alignment plate in the sheet width direction when the processed sheets are piled on the tray to the vicinity of the horizontal alignment plate.
PAPER FEED AND BIASING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR STAPLER UNIT
A finisher assembly of a multifunction peripheral includes a vertically oriented stapler and a paper transport motor. When the paper transport motor rotates in the forward direction, printed pages from the print engine of the multifunction peripheral are received via a paper chute and a feed assist roller urges the printed pages into a vertical paper accumulation cache basin. Rotation of the paper transport motor also opens a biasing plate allowing the pages to freely enter the cache basin. Once all of the pages of the print job are in the cache basin, the paper transport motor rotates in the reverse direction causing the biasing plate to bias the printed pages, in the cache basin, against a registration surface of the vertically oriented stapler unit. The pages of the print job are stapled together the stapled print job is moved to the paper tray for collection by a user.
