RECORDING MATERIAL PROCESSING APPARATUS OR IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM EACH OF WHICH EXECUTES STAPLING PROCESS
A recording material processing apparatus includes a processing tray, a detecting unit, a stapling unit, an instructing unit, a control unit, a switching unit, and a notifying unit. The detecting unit detects recording material placed in the processing tray. The stapling unit executes a stapling process for the recording material placed in the processing tray. The instructing unit outputs a stapling process execution instruction. Upon receipt of the execution instruction in a state in which the detecting unit has detected a recording material inserted in the processing tray from an outside of a main body of a main body apparatus, the control unit cause the stapling process to be executed. The switching unit switches a position of the stapling unit among a plurality of positions. The notifying unit provides notification of a placement position of the recording material in the processing tray corresponding to each of the plurality of positions.
Post-processing apparatus
According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, a post-processing apparatus includes a stapling unit which includes a cartridge for containing a staple used for stapling processing, a moving unit configured to move the stapling unit between a first stapling position, a second stapling position and a replacement position, a detection unit configured to detect presence or absence of a staple in the cartridge, and a control unit configured to make the stapling unit stand ready at the second stapling position in a case where the presence of a staple in the cartridge is detected by the detection unit, and to make the moving unit move the stapling unit to the replacement position in a case where the absence of a staple in the cartridge is detected by the detection unit.
STAPLER, POST-PROCESSING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM
A stapler includes a staple cartridge in which a staple is stored, a storage unit to which the staple cartridge is attached to be detachable, a staple ejecting unit which ejects out the staple to penetrate a paper sheet, a cutting unit which cuts a staple leg of the staple penetrating the paper sheet, a binding unit which binds the paper sheet by bending the staple leg of the staple penetrating the paper sheet, a cut staple storage unit which stores a cut staple that is cut by the cutting unit, and a discharge unit through which the cutting unit and the cut staple storage unit communicate with each other to guide the cut staple to the cut staple storage unit. The cut staple storage unit is attachable to and detachable from the stapler.
SHEET PROCESSING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS HAVING THE SAME
A sheet processing apparatus includes a conveying portion; a conveying path for sheets conveyed by the conveying portion; a stack portion where sheets discharged from the conveying path are stacked; a first binding portion moving in a crossing direction crossing the conveying direction; a first regulating portion regulating a position of a sheet bundle stacked on the stack portion; a first guide member guiding the first regulating portion; a second regulating portion regulating a position of a sheet bundle on the stack portion in the crossing direction; a second guide member guiding the second regulating portion; a third regulating portion regulating a position of a sheet bundle on the stack portion in the conveying direction; and a second binding portion binding a corner portion of a sheet bundle without a staple. The first binding portion binds a corner portion of a sheet bundle by a staple.
Stapling Apparatus, Image Forming Apparatus, Method of Stapling Sheet Bundle, and Non-Transitory Computer Readable Data Recording Medium Having Program Stored Thereon
A stapling apparatus includes a sheet insertion portion that receives insertion of a sheet bundle, a stapler that staples the sheet bundle, a drive apparatus that drives the stapler, and a controller that controls the drive apparatus. The controller has the drive apparatus driven with first electric power when the drive apparatus operates in an on-line stapling mode in which the sheet bundle ejected from an image forming apparatus is stapled and has the drive apparatus driven with second electric power lower than maximum electric power that can be set as first electric power when the drive apparatus operates in a manual stapling mode in which the sheet bundle inserted through the sheet insertion portion is stapled.
Image forming apparatus
An image forming apparatus includes: a needleless binding device configured to form a recessed or raised impression as a needleless binding part by performing needleless binding on a bundle of sheets; an environment sensor; and a controller configured to perform, based on a value detected by the environment sensor, control to display a confirmation image requesting a user to make confirmation on the needleless binding prior to execution of the needleless binding.
SHEET FOLDING BASED ON A SINGLE FOLDING ROLLER
A sheet folding apparatus including a folding roller, a positioning member, a push member, and a shift member. The folding roller including a pair of rollers to rotatably engage with each other to form a folding nip. The positioning member to support a first end of a printing medium which is fed along a folding path and to arrange the printing medium in an initial folding location. The push member to move to an insertion location to push the printing medium on the folding path into the folding nip, and to move to a retreat location. The shift member, located at an exit of the folding nip, to selectively guide the printing medium to a guide path to return the printing medium having passed through the folding nip to the folding path, the guide path being provided around at least one of the pair of rollers.
SHEET BINDING APPARATUS, SHEET PROCESSING APPARATUS, AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM
A guide portion guides a binding unit in a first direction and a second direction. The guide portion includes a pair of first wall portions, a pair of second wall portions, a pair of third wall portions, and a restricting portion. A first protrusion is engageable between the pair of first wall portions and between the pair of second wall portions. A second protrusion is disposed upstream of the first protrusion in the first direction, and is engageable with the pair of first wall portions and the pair of third wall portions. The restricting portion restricts entry of the first protrusion from between the pair of first wall portions to between the pair of third wall portions and permits entry of the second protrusion from between the pair of first wall portions to between the pair of third wall portions.
SHEET PROCESSING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM
In a case where a binding unit performs a binding process at the corner portion on a first end side in a width direction of the sheet in the second posture, an abutment operation of conveying the sheet and abutting the downstream end edge of the sheet in a conveyance direction against the abutment portion, and a shift operation of moving the sheet to a position where the sheet does not contact a back side surface of the binding unit when the binding unit is in the second posture, on a second end side in the width direction with respect to a position of the sheet conveyed to the placement portion are performed. Then a movable turning unit turns the binding unit from a first posture to the second posture, and the binding process is performed by the binding unit in the second posture.
