Elevator car door interlock
An elevator car door safety device that uses flags along a hoistway is disclosed. The elevator car door safety device is mounted to the outside of an elevator car door using a mounting plate and includes a locking assembly mounted to the sill of the elevator car door. The car door safety device includes a lever with a hook at its distal end. The safety device also includes a flag engagement arm perpendicularly mounted to the lever. If the flag engagement arm engages a flag on the hoistway then the hook is prevented from being lodged into the locking assembly and the car door is permitted to open. Inversely, if no flag is engaged, the lever will continue to rotate urging the hook to be lodged within the locking assembly, thereby preventing the door from opening. An electric switch assembly can be used to stop the motion of the elevator.

ELEVATOR SYSTEM LANDING DOOR UNLOCKING MECHANISM
A landing floor door access system for an elevator system includes a door lock operably connected to a landing floor door, and a door lock controller operably connected to the door lock. The door lock controller is configured for non-contact communication with an access device such that communication between the access device and the door lock controller initiates a signal from the door lock controller to the door lock to deactivate the door lock. A method of accessing a hoistway of an elevator system, includes approaching a landing floor door of the elevator system, the landing floor door positioned at the hoistway, and initiating communication between an access device and a door lock of the landing floor door via non-contact interaction between the access device and the door lock. The door lock is deactivated via the non-contact interaction between the access device and the door lock.
ELEVATOR CAR DOOR INTERLOCK
A method of unlocking an elevator car door or an elevator car is provided including operating a door operator. A link arm of a car door interlock operably coupled to the door operator is rotated. If the elevator car is positioned within a landing door zone, an engagement link coupled to the link arm is configured to pivot relative to the link arm to disengage from an electrical contact. If the elevator car is not positioned within a landing door zone, the engagement link does not pivot relative to the link arm and remains engaged with the electrical contact.

Car door interlock with sill lock
A lock assembly for an elevator car door is provided including a car mechanism configured to move from a first position to a second position upon detection of a known condition. A contactor is mounted adjacent a lower portion of the elevator car door and is operably coupled to the car door mechanism. The contact is movable in response to movement of the car door mechanism to lock and unlock a portion of the elevator car door.

ELEVATOR CAR DOOR INTERLOCK
An elevator car door interlock includes a first link assembly having a first intermediate link movably connected to a first vane, and a first link having a first link first end pivotally connected to the first intermediate link and a first link second end pivotally connected to the second vane. A latch assembly includes a door latch pivotally connected to the baseplate wherein responsive to operation of a drive mechanism that is drivably connected to the first link second end, while an interlock roller engages at least one of the first vane and the second vane, the first vane moves towards the second vane and the door latch pivots to unlock an elevator car door.

ELEVATOR LANDING DOOR UNLOCKING SYSTEM
Elevator door coupling systems are described. The systems include a car door lock having a coupling element and a lock element, the lock element operably connected to a latch for locking the car door lock and a landing door lock having a movable plate, a first contact element mounted to the movable plate and configured to engage with the coupling element and a second contact element configured to engage with the lock element. In operation, the coupling element is operable to apply force to the first contact element and cause the movable plate to rotate and as the movable plate rotates, the second contact element applies force to the lock element to urge the latch from a locked position to an unlocked position.
