A system and method is presented for hands-free operation of elevator using a smart phone or like device to display one or more colours that are read by a colour-detection device mounted in an elevator cabin and at each elevator landing. Different colours can be displayed by the smart phone or like device and detected by the colour-detection device where different can represent different commands to operate the elevator.

An elevator system is provided. Aspects includes an elevator car, a sensor, and a projector affixed to the elevator car, wherein the projector is operated by a controller and the controller is configured to receive an indication of a presence of a passenger in the elevator car. A car operating panel is projected, by a projector, in the elevator car, wherein the car operating panel comprises a virtual element. An activation of the virtual element from the passenger is sensed by a sensor and an action is initiated based at least in part on sensing the activation of the virtual element.

An apparatus for retrofitting an elevator system to enable voice control includes a first main board installable within an elevator adjacent to an elevator button panel and two or more additional main boards installable on respective floors adjacent to respective elevator call panels, each of the main boards having a microphone circuit, a plurality of onboard output relays, and a processor operable to select an output relay in response to a voice command received by the microphone circuit and to output a signal to the selected output relay. One or more auxiliary output relay boards are installable within the elevator adjacent to the elevator button panel, each having a plurality of additional output relays selectable by the processor of the first main board. A controller area network (CAN) bus connects the first main board to the one or more auxiliary output relay boards.

Disclosed is a retrofit voice actuated system configured to be coupled to an existing system for controlling the movement of an elevator car between floors of a multi-floor structure. The existing system includes at least one hall push button on each floor accessible to the elevator car, a car operating panel in the elevator car including, for each floor, at least one car push button including a switching element associated with the push button, and an elevator control system responsive to the activation of the hall push button or the car push button for one of the floors for causing the elevator car to move to said floor. The retrofit voice actuated system includes at least one voice controller operative for causing the elevator control system to move the elevator car to said floor in response to the voice controller receiving an audio prompt from a user.

A system (10) is provided comprising a first communication unit (KE1), a second communication unit (KE2) and a third communication unit (KE3). The first communication unit (KE1) is mobile and can be carried by a user (B). The second communication unit (KE2) is configured to be installed in a stationary manner, preferably near an elevator shaft door (11). A notification control device includes an attribute identification unit configured to identify a physical attribute of a user who uses an elevator, and a notification control unit configured to control, based on the physical attribute identified by the attribute identification unit, a notification speed at which information is provided by a notification device installed in a car in which the user having the identified physical attribute is to ride.

The method includes: obtaining a user instruction, where the user instruction is determined by a speech device based on a user's speech content; recognizing the user instruction and converting the user instruction into an elevator control instruction; and controlling an elevator via the elevator control instruction. The elevator control method provided by the present disclosure enables the user to control the elevator through the speech device without touching the elevator, and thereby reducing potential safety risk caused by multiple people touching the elevator.

A method of collecting data using a robot data collection system including: collecting data on a landing of a building using a sensor system of a robot; transmitting the data to a conveyance system of the building; and adjusting operation of the conveyance system in response to the data.

A touchless keyboard system for operating an elevator through an existing touch-sensitive keyboard of the elevator, the touchless keyboard system including a touchless detection device comprising at least one sensor for detecting non-touch indications from users for opted floors, an actuation device comprising at least one actuator for physical engaging buttons of the existing touch-sensitive keyboard of the elevator corresponding to the opted floors, and a controller in communication with the detection device and with the actuation device for receiving and processing output signals from the at least one sensor and controlling movement of the at least one actuator based on the processed output signals. The touchless keyboard system further comprises a touchless keyboard housing for receiving the touchless detection device and the actuation device, where the touchless keyboard housing is operatively mountable to the touch-sensitive keyboard of the elevator.
