Handling and recovery devices for tubular members and associated methods
Implementations described herein include a hoisting device and method for handling, coupling and recovery of tubular members such as drill string components. The hoisting device has a self-energizing gripping means configured to releasably engage a drill string component. In one aspect, the self-energizing gripping means can be operable to increase at least one of a radial biasing force and a contact friction force applied to a drill string component, causing the gripping means to increase the overall gripping force applied to the component with minimal effort exerted by a hoisting device operator.
Adjustable diameter pipe grabber
The adjustable diameter pipe grabber is configured for use with a pipe. The adjustable diameter pipe grabber is a mechanical device. The adjustable diameter pipe grabber captures the pipe for transport. The adjustable diameter pipe grabber engages the pipe from the interior surface of the pipe. The adjustable diameter pipe grabber comprises a tube and a capture structure. The tube contains the capture structure. The tube inserts into the pipe. The capture structure is a spring-loaded device. The capture structure applies pressure to the interior surface of the pipe such that the friction between the capture structure and the interior surface of the pipe allows the adjustable diameter pipe grabber to capture and move the pipe.
HANDLING DEVICE AND METHOD FOR GRIPPING AND INSERTING A PILE TUBE INTO A BOREHOLE
The invention relates to a handling device for gripping and inserting a pile tube into a borehole in the ground to form a foundation pile, comprising a base frame, a gripping device for gripping and holding the pile tube, and a holding element for releasably connecting the base frame to a hoist, in particular a suspension rope. According to the invention, it is provided that at least one inlet device for supplying a curable medium is arranged on the base frame in an upper region and at least one outlet device for the curable medium to the pile tube is arranged in a lower region.
GRIPPING ASSEMBLY
A gripping assembly (1) designed to grasp cylindrical piles (CP) provided with a longitudinal axis (AL) in an end position: the assembly (1) comprising a first cylindrical body (10) provided with a central axis (CA) and delimited by a first upper flat face (2) and by a second lower flat face (3), parallel to each other and transversal to the central axis (CA) of the same first body (10) and a plurality of gripping members (12) evenly distributed around the central axis (CA) and radially movable to couple with one of the piles (CP) by friction: a lifting arm (20) comprising at least one support portion (22) arranged laterally with respect to a longitudinal diametral plane (M) carried by the first body (10) hinged to a plate (100)(100) integral with the first body (10) around a first axis (TAI) transversal to the diametral plane: the first axis (TAI) being arranged on the outside of the first body (10) on the side opposite to said second face (3) with respect to the first face (2).

Pipe lifting assembly
A pipe lifting assembly includes an eyebolt that is insertable into a pipe. A pair of spreaders is provided and each of the spreaders is slidably positioned around the eyebolt. Each of the spreaders is positionable at a selected point along the eyebolt, and the pair of spreaders includes an upper spreader and a lower spreader. A plurality of grips is each pivotally coupled between each of the spreader. Each of the grips is spaceable a selected distance from the eyebolt when the upper spreader is moved upwardly or downwardly along the eyebolt. Additionally, each of the grips frictionally engages an interior surface of the pipe when the eyebolt is positioned in the pipe and the upper spreader is moved downwardly along the eyebolt. In this way each of the grips facilitate the pipe to be lifted when the eyebolt is lifted.

Fire tube installation and removal tool
A tool is provided for removal and installation of a fire tube that extends into an opening in a wall of a heating vessel. The fire tube locates within an interior of the heating vessel when mounted thereto. The fire tube has a tube wall that defines a tube interior and has a mounting end for mounting the fire tube to the wall of the heating vessel. The tool has an elongated main shaft member having an insertion end and an opposite control end. A first support is mounted upon the insertion end that is configured for being closely received within the tube interior. A second support is mounted along the length of the main shaft member, the second support having a fire tube interface configured for engaging and releasably coupling to the mounting end of the fire tube. A lift coupling couples to the main shaft and locates between the second support and the control end of the main shaft member for coupling to a lift line. A counterbalance support carries removable weighting members, the counterbalance support being coupled to the main shaft by a counterbalance support spacing arm that extends laterally from the main shaft member.
