Insect Trap Device

A removable substrate for an insect attractant device includes a body having front and rear faces, a grip portion, and a base disposed opposite the grip portion. The removable substrate further includes a first lateral portion extending from the base, and a second lateral portion extending from the base. A projection extends outwardly from the base, lowermost ends of the first and second lateral portions are disposed below the projection, and an adhesive is applied to the front face and the rear face.

Pillar device for adhesive insect capture with bird guards

An insect trap with bird guards prevents or deters small animals from becoming stuck to the trap, and includes a pillar mounted between a base member and a cap member. The pillar is located radially inwardly from the outer perimeter of the base and cap members, and has an outer surface having a coating of an adhesive selected for ensnaring target insects. A number of bird guards have end portions attachable to the base member and the cap member, and include a plurality of elongate members extending between the end portions, and are spaced away from the pillar. A spacing member, for example, a crossbeam, connects the elongate members for each guard, and is positioned radially inwardly from the elongate members, and at an intermediate longitudinal position, such that the elongate members will not engage the adhesive surface. The base and cap may further include spike members that extend away from the pillar.

LED insect light trap with light transmissive glue board

Insect capture is improved by providing a glue board having an adhesive coating on its front surface and forming a pattern of insect attractant UV light on that front surface. That pattern includes areas of bright UV light generated by light-emitting diodes that generate light at different wavelengths behind and visible through the glue board by flying insects, dimmer areas of light generated by said light emitting diodes that bounces off other portions of the device onto the glue board, and areas of shadow on the glue board where no or little light from said light-emitting diodes is present.

Composition for detection and treatment of bed bugs

The present disclosure provides for a composition and method for attracting bed bugs to a trap or to a location where an insecticide or pesticide is present, or to a trap or a location where a bed bug infestation can be detected. The present disclosure provides for a composition for attracting bed bugs that includes one or more of methyl diethanolamine (MDEA), monoethanolamine (MEA), diethanolamine (DEA), triethanolamine (TEA), and dimethyl trisulfide (DMTS); a carrier; and optionally one or more amides selected from oleamide, octanamide, nonanamide, and laurylamide; urea, biuret, or triuret; and one or more aliphatic fatty acids. The present disclosure further provides for a method for treating an article by applying the composition to the article, where the article comprises a device for trapping or detecting bed bugs or a device for treating a bed bug infestation.

DEVICE FOR CATCHING INSECTS
20210045376 · 2021-02-18 ·

There is provided a device for catching insects, such as flies. The device can be attached in an area having particular high activity of insects, such as in the vicinity of a horse eye. The device comprises a sheet having an outer surface with an adhesive layer for catching and holding insects contacting said adhesive. It also includes a holding member for holding the sheet and attaching to the animal. Preferably the sheet is releasable from the holding member.

EXTENDABLE AND ADJUSTABLE INSECT ENTRAPMENT APPARATUS
20210037805 · 2021-02-11 ·

An extendable and adjustable insect entrapment apparatus reaches insects and pests in hard to reach areas through a multi-jointed elongated rod that hinges and pivots into various configuration to reach and entrap the insects with a pad of stacked, singular sticky sheets. The rod has a proximal end with a formed hole for hanging the apparatus from a distal end. At least one joint in the rod is fixedly set at a desired angle and orientation. The sticky sheets retain any insects which travel or fall into a base at the distal end of the rod. Each sheet is coated with a mild compression adhesive material that entraps an insect in response to an application of force against the insect. Each sticky sheet can be separated individually. Upon entrapment of an insect, the outermost sticky sheet restraining the insect is separated, folded to encase the insect, and disposed of.
