Domestic insect trap
The present invention consists of a collapsible trap for insects, particularly male and female Aedes aegypti mosquitoes, the trap preferably being made of card and designed for use in a domestic or commercial environment. Specifically, the present invention discloses a foldable trap for insects, particularly male and female Aedes aegypti mosquitoes, the trap being formed by a hollow, prismatic main body which comprises an upper cover and a lower cover. The hollow, prismatic main body also comprises a translucent window in one of the sides, the internal surface of which translucent window is impregnated with an adhesive for insects. An attractive mosquito bait is located inside the hollow main body. The mosquitoes, attracted by the bait, enter the trap through at least one curved interior conduit which is located inside the hollow main body and has an entrance in the upper cover and an exit inside the trap.

Insect trap device and method of using
In an embodiment, as insect trap is disclosed including: a trap portion including a frame and a membrane having an adhesive surface, wherein the membrane is at least partially contained within the frame and is configured to adhere to an insect; and a base portion including a lighting element and a housing portion, wherein the housing portion is configured to receive and retain the trap portion when engaged therewith.
Pest surveillance system
A pest surveillance system comprising at least one pest monitoring apparatus and a main server is provided. The pest monitoring apparatus comprises an image capturing device, an environmental status sensing device, a controller and a network transmitter. The at least one pest monitoring apparatus is disposed in at least one space. The image capturing device is used for capturing an image of a pest catcher and generating an original image. The environmental status sensing device is used for detecting environmental status and generating an environmental parameter. The network transmitter is coupled to a network. The main server is connected to the network and receives the at least one original image and the at least one environmental parameter. An image processor of the main server calculates each original image according to each environmental parameter and generates a pest status data.

INSECT LURE DEVICE AND METHOD FOR MAKING AN INSECT TRAP
An insect trap comprising a trap shell having a first open end opposite a second open end and defining a trap interior having a triangular prism shape; a hanger for suspending the trap shell from an object, wherein a portion of the hanger extends into the trap interior; and an insect lure device suspended within the trap interior, the insect lure device comprising a lure wafer and a flexible container enclosing the lure wafer, wherein the lure wafer comprises an insect attractant chemical incorporated in a solid substrate such that, in a first stage, the insect attractant chemical controllably evaporates to a gaseous state into the flexible container, and wherein the flexible container is gas-permeable such that, in a second stage, the insect attractant chemical in the gaseous state passes through the flexible container into the trap interior.

Device for preventing tick bites and method for manufacturing the same
Wearable articles, such as adhesive tapes, for prevention of tick and other pest bites includes flexible substrates having first and second opposite sides. The first side includes an adhesive configured to adhere the article to a user's skin, while the second side includes an attractant site configured to attract the pest, and a trap site configured to trap the pest. Methods for making an adhesive tape for the prevention of tick bites include providing such a substrate, placing a skin adhesive on one surface, and placing a chemoattractant and tick or insect adhesive on the second surface.

Spider trap
A trap for spiders and other insects is provided. The trap is especially useful for catching brown recluse (Loxosceles reclusa) spiders, whose bites are extremely harmful. The trap need not utilize chemical attractants or other behavior-modifying environmentally harmful chemicals, or food bait or lights to attract the spiders. The internal volume of the trap can be shaped as a triangular prism with open triangular faces and openings in the front. At least a portion of the floor is coated with bug adhesive. The trap can be packaged as a kit including a flat sheet that can be folded a three-dimensional shape. The fronts can include spaced vertical struts. Methods and kits for making using the traps are also provided.
