INSECT TRAP DEVICE AND METHOD OF USING
An insect trap is provided. The insect trap includes a trap portion and a base portion. The trap portion includes an enclosure with an adhesive surface and a first opening, wherein the adhesive surface is at least partially contained within the enclosure and is configured to adhere to an insect. The base portion includes a lighting element and a mounting portion, wherein the lighting element is configured to provide light to the trap portion and wherein the mounting portion is configured to communicate with and receive power from a power source. The trap portion is configured to removably engage the base portion and receive light from the base portion when engaged therewith. The base portion includes a snap protrusion and the trap portion includes a snap recess for receiving the snap protrusion, wherein when the snap protrusion is received by the trap portion, the base portion and trap portion are engaged in a snap fit.
NEW SEX PHEROMONE COMPONENTS FOR THE FALL ARMYWORM, SPODOPTERA FRUGIPERDA
Compositions for attracting and/or trapping male agricultural pests, particularly Spodoptera species (e.g., fall armyworm) are described. The compositions comprise two active components, one comprising a C7-C11 aldehyde and one comprising a C12-C16 aldehyde, acetate ester or primary alcohol. Also described are devices for attracting and/or trapping the agricultural pests and methods of controlling the population of the agricultural pests.
REPLACEABLE INSERT FOR INSECT TRAPPING DEVICE AND METHODS THEREOF
A replaceable insert for an insect trapping device is provided. The insert is releaseably retained within the shell and has an adhesive portion for trapping insects. The insert has a substantially planar, longitudinally extending tab. The tab of the cartridge is laterally offset from a centerline of the insert.
Insect Trap Receptacle
A receptacle for use with an insect trap comprises a hollow body defining an open upper end for attaching to the insect trap and for receiving insects from the trap, and an open lower end. A floor of the receptacle is mounted to the lower end of the body and is movable between a closed position wherein the floor covers the open lower end, and an open position wherein the lower end is open and exposed to a surrounding environment.
Detection of arthropods
The disclosure relates to the detection of arthropods (beneficial insects and/or pests) in a region in which plants grow via a camera.
Animal trap detection system using a glue board
An animal trap system includes a glue board, an animal trap accelerometer sensor, and a signal unit in close proximity to and in communications with the animal trap accelerometer sensor, wherein the signal unit also contains an accelerometer sensor. The animal trap system is capable of detecting capture events, non-capture events, false positives, and/or the type of animal captured by using differential signal analysis and machine learning techniques. When an acceleration is received by the animal trap accelerometer sensor above a pre-set acceleration threshold value, it sends a capture signal to the signal unit and if the signal unit does not receive such acceleration event, the signal unit transmits a capture signal to an off-site receiver. A method of trapping one or more animals using this system is also provided.

Pest entrapment device and method
The invention is directed at to a pest entrapment device for attracting and trapping flying pests around the head of a person. The apparatus includes an attachable device having at least one member, which member contains at least one cavity to hold a pest attractant. The attachable device is affixed to a head covering on the underside of a bill, brim, visor or the like. The pest attractant can be of a combination of grease, carbon dioxide, sweetener, and a sticky, viscid matter. The pest attractant also acts as a trapping substance to capture the flying insects. The pest entrapment device can be removed for cleaning and reapplication of the pest attractant.
