A system may include a trap and a consumable. The trap may include a data capture mechanism configured to capture data and send the data to a system operator. The consumable may include a device having an associated electronic identification code. A status-determining mechanism may be configured to determine a status of the consumable, which status may be readable via the data capture mechanism. The consumable may include a sensor configured to detect flying insects via mutual capacitance sensing. The sensor may be configured to provide a directional fringe field responsive to a flying insect. The sensor may include a plurality of sensor triplets arranged in a grid array. Each sensor triplet may include a sensor conductor and two electrically conductive un-grounded conductors. The two un-grounded conductors may be disposed one on either side of the sensor conductor to form the sensor triplet.

Fly Trap With Bait Filling System

The embodied invention provides for the convenient addition of a liquid bait to a netting fly trap bow. The convenient addition of the bait fluid provides for enhanced operation of the fly trap, by simplifying the addition of an unpleasant material, and avoids the need for disassembly of the fly trap to provide additional bait.

PEST SURVEILLANCE SYSTEM
20190223431 · 2019-07-25 ·

A pest surveillance system comprising at least one pest monitoring apparatus and a main server is provided. The pest monitoring apparatus comprises an image capturing device, an environmental status sensing device, a controller and a network transmitter. The at least one pest monitoring apparatus is disposed in at least one space. The image capturing device is used for capturing an image of a pest catcher and generating an original image. The environmental status sensing device is used for detecting environmental status and generating an environmental parameter. The network transmitter is coupled to a network. The main server is connected to the network and receives the at least one original image and the at least one environmental parameter. An image processor of the main server calculates each original image according to each environmental parameter and generates a pest status data.

A bed system for the inspection and treatment of crawling insects, for example bed bugs, includes a main support panel and at least one movable mattress panel upon the main support panel to define a crevice between the panels for harboring crawling insects for subsequent inspection and treatment. A sleeping mattress is then supported on the mattress panel. The support panel is supported above a supporting surface, for example the floor or a boxspring mattress, by a spacer frame. The support panel further includes a skirt member extending down from the perimeter edge of the support panel by a height of the spacer frame so that the bottom free edge of the skirt member is in close, non-contacting proximity to the supporting surface. Treatment chemicals may optionally be provided in the space below the main support panel which is defined by the spacer frame mounted between the supporting surface and the main support panel.
