The disclosure relates to an assembly head for a telescopic boom that can be separated into an inner and an outer boom set and that is reversibly mountable at an inner telescopic section of the outer boom set. The assembly head comprises a pulley head having deflection pulleys and a telescopic tube section that is arranged the pulley head, that can be pushed into the inner telescopic section from its end, and that has a substantially smaller length than the inner telescopic section. The disclosure further relates to a separable telescopic boom having an assembly head in accordance with the disclosure, to a mobile crane having a telescopic boom in accordance with the disclosure, and to a method for the self-assembly of an assembly head in accordance with the disclosure at the outer boom set of a telescopic boom.

EXTENDABLE BOOM WITH A LOCKING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR OPERATING AN EXTENDABLE BOOM OF A CRANE

Telescopic lattice type crane boom for a crane, further comprising a locking system configured to lock at least one telescopic boom section with respect to a base boom section in at least an extended position, wherein said locking system includes a plurality of pins, each pin being configured to extend, in at least the extended position of the boom, at least partly through a corresponding pin receiving aperture provided in one of the base boom section and the at least one telescopic boom section.

WEARPAD AND WEARPAD HOUSING ARRANGEMENT FOR A TELESCOPIC BOOM ASSEMBLY

In one aspect, the present disclosure provides a wearpad for a telescopic boom assembly including a first surface for contacting an outer boom of the boom assembly, a second surface for contacting an inner boom of the boom assembly, and a length, where the first surface and the second surface extend along the length, and where the length extends along a longitudinal direction. A chamfered portion of the wearpad may have a first end at a first location along the length and a second end at a second location along the length. The first surface and the second surface may converge along the chamfered portion. Thus, a first distance between the first surface and the second surface at the first end of the chamfered portion may be greater than a second distance between the first surface and the second surface at the second end of the chamfered portion.

LIGHTWEIGHT CRANE

Example embodiments relate to a lightweight crane. In one nonlimiting embodiment the crane is comprised of a telescoping boom having a first boom nested in a second boom which in turn is nested in a third boom. The first, second, and third booms may be made from aluminum to reduce the weight of the crane. The first boom may have a first open section and a second closed section wherein the open section is configured to accommodate a structural member to which an actuator is attached. The first and second booms have lower surfaces with inclined surfaces so that the first boom self-aligns with the second boom and the second boom self-aligns with the third boom.

Housing arrangement for a wearpad assembly

A housing arrangement for a wearpad may include a boom for a telescopic boom assembly; a plate for contacting at least one end of the wearpad when the wearpad is installed adjacent to the boom; and a fastener for securing the plate to a surface of the boom. Optionally, at least one of the plate and the boom includes a tab, where the other of the plate and the boom includes a slot, and where the slot is configured to constrain the tab in at least two directions when the slot receives the tab.

A boom assembly includes a boom housing having a longitudinal, internal cavity. A telescoping boom moves in an axial direction relative to the boom housing and has a first end positioned within the longitudinal, internal cavity and a second end positioned outside the longitudinal, internal cavity. A winch assembly moves with the movement of the telescoping boom. A winch cable extends from the winch assembly and is guided by a pulley. A portion of the winch cable extends over the pulley in an outward direction from the pulley. The extending portion of the winch cable has a length, and the length of the extending portion of the winch cable remains the same regardless of the axial movement of the telescoping boom relative to the boom housing.
