Processing container images and identifiers using optical character recognition and geolocation
Embodiments include a system configured to process location information for objects in a site comprising an imaging device configured to take a picture of an object, the picture containing a unique identifier of the object; a global positioning system (GPS) component associated with the imaging device and configured to tag the image of the object with GPS location information of the object to generate a tagged image; a communications interface configured to transmit the tagged image to a server computer remote from the imaging device over an Internet Protocol (IP) network; and a processor of the server configured to perform Optical Character Recognition (OCR) on the picture and to create an indicator code corresponding to the identifier of the object, wherein the processor is further configured to create a processed result containing the indicator code and the location to locate the object within the site.
Marine cargo loader and handrail apparatus
A marine cargo loader and handrail device includes a base plate, a post and a platform that is pivotally mounted to the post to allow the platform to move upward and downward. The platform can have two positions, the stored and deployed positions. When stored, the platform is in an upright position. When deployed, the platform is in a substantially horizontal plane with respect to the post. The device may also include a gas dampener to allow for a smooth descent from the stored position downward to the deployed position.
Raising/Lowering Conveyance Device For Container For Conveying Article
A raising/lowering conveyance device for a container for conveying an article includes a container gripping mechanism having multiple container support pins which are arranged so as to be capable of freely protruding and retracting. A spring for biasing the container gripping mechanism upward is interposed between the container gripping mechanism and a columnar support member for supporting the container gripping mechanism such that the container gripping mechanism can be freely raised and lowered. As a result of the upward biasing force of the spring, the container gripping mechanism is held at an equilibrium height in equilibrium with the weight thereof and is capable of movement vertically with the equilibrium height serving as the center of the movement. When the container gripping mechanism lifts a container, the mechanism receives the weight of the container, descends from the equilibrium height, and is supported at the fixed height of the columnar support member.
APPARAUS AND METHOD FOR NESTING BULK SEED BOXES
The present invention teaches an apparatus and method used in connection with a forklift truck for quickly and easily nesting and un-nesting bulk seed boxes. A box inverter apparatus includes first and second rotary clamp pads, each clamp pad having a box engaging surface and an opposing rear surface. The first and second rotary clamp pads are positioned such that the box engaging surfaces thereof face one another in a spaced apart relationship. First and second spindle and bearing assemblies are associated with and extend radially outwardly from the opposing rear surfaces of the first and second rotary clamp pads, respectively. Each of the spindle and bearing assemblies has a first end attached to the rear surface of the rotary clamp pad and a second end attached to a frame such that each spindle and bearing assembly permits rotation of the rotary clamp pad relative to the frame. Means for adjusting the distance between the spaced apart facing box engaging surfaces of the first and second rotary clamp pad assemblies are provided. Positioning means for determining and selecting an optimal positioning of the pair of bulk seed boxes in between the opposing box engaging surfaces of the first and second rotary clamp pads are provided. Means for actuating the adjusting means to affect engagement of the box engaging surfaces with opposing sides of one of the pair of bulk seed boxes are also provided.
INTERMODAL CONTAINER MOBILIZATION
An intermodal container mobilizer that includes a tow vehicle and forward and aft intermodal shipping container attachments. The forward container attachment is carried by the tow vehicle and connects to one end of an intermodal container. The aft container attachment is wheeled and connects to an opposite end of the intermodal container. The forward and aft attachments, together with the tow vehicle, support the intermodal container for rolling transport across a flat surface.
CONVEYANCE SYSTEM
A conveyance system that reduces the risk of a loading platform tipping over during conveyance while the loading platform is lifted by a conveyance vehicle is achieved. A conveyance system according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a loading platform including a mounting unit and a conveyance vehicle. The loading platform is conveyed by the conveyance vehicle while the mounting unit is lifted from below by the conveyance vehicle. The loading platform has an abutting part below the mounting unit that abuts a lower surface of the conveyance vehicle when the conveyance vehicle lifts the mounting unit.
