Syringe with a valve in a housing for measuring chemicals
11340104 · 2022-05-24 ·

A highly accurate and efficient syringe with a valve in a housing has a hollow syringe with a barrel and a hollow tip, a port on the side of the barrel near the hollow tip, and a valve connected to the barrel by the housing, which has a mouth connected to the barrel and a bottle cap suitable for securing to a bottle. The valve is in fluid communication with the barrel through the port and in fluid communication with a bottle of chemicals through the bottle cap end of the housing. The syringe with a valve in a housing is adapted to precisely draw and measure chemicals from a bottle and to precisely dispense the chemicals without spills or drips.

Portable pest eradication system

A portable pest eradication system 60, comprising a plurality of electrical cords 21a-e connected electrically to a plurality of the electric heating elements 65a-e, a circulation fan assembly 55, a programmable module 48 and a user interface for entering a treatment time and/or a target temperature for heating a particular room in a house or building. The portable pest eradication system 60 is designed to provide sufficient heat to reach the target temperature in a reasonable period of time to kill bedbugs, bedbug eggs, mold, ticks, bacteria, dust mites, scabies, cockroaches, body lice, fleas, and/or other pests.

Apparatus and method for soil stabilization
11737444 · 2023-08-29 · ·

An apparatus for solarization of a volume of soil includes a support structure in the form of a frame having a first opening extending therethrough. The apparatus comprises a lid positionable over the frame, a plurality of walls extending under and away from the frame, and an assembly that redirects solar energy attached over the support structure. The lid and walls form a second opening. During operation the support structure is placed on a section of ground and adjusted for solar energy to be directed toward and through the lid. When placed on the ground, the frame, the lid, the walls and the adjoining ground form an enclosed volume that prevents thermal energy from escaping the enclosed volume while directing the solar energy into the volume via the second opening to heat underlying soil.

FRAGRANCE RELEASING DEVICE

Fragrance delivery device with first flexible impermeable barrier layer and second flexible impermeable barrier layer coupled to the first flexible impermeable barrier layer to define a first chamber. A reservoir substance having a volatile medium is disposed in the first chamber. The device further includes at least one vapor releasing microporous layer having a plurality of micropores therein. The vapor releasing microporous layer defines a second chamber. A frangible seal seals the first chamber from the second chamber in a delivery condition. Activation of the device compromises the frangible seal to fluidly couple the first chamber with the second chamber and to transfer the reservoir substance to the second chamber. The volatile medium of the reservoir substance is releasable from the fragrance delivery device via the plurality of micropores in the use condition.

LIGHTING FIXTURE DATA HUBS AND SYSTEMS AND METHODS TO USE THE SAME

Lighting fixture data hubs and systems and methods for use. An example of a data hub may include an annunciator configured to generate a first indication and a second indication, one or more sensors configured to detect between one or more vehicles and one or more pedestrians and potential convergence thereof within a zone in a vicinity of the data hub and to emit one or more signals corresponding to said detection, and a gateway in communication with an on-board processor and the annunciator, the on-board processor configured to wirelessly receive and analyze the one or more signals, communicate said one or more signals to the gateway so that the gateway can generate the first indication or the second indication in response to the one or more signals. Data hubs may also include a sensor unit housing and/or a light source.

MOSQUITO ATTRACTANT COMPOSITIONS

Mosquito attractant composition for attracting a mosquito to a pre-determined location. The composition includes a combination of nonanal and lilac aldehydes.

Bioactive peptides having detrimental effects on pest slugs

Provided herein are synthetic peptides developed from slug and insect neuropeptides. Peptides described can be used to repel, control or deter slugs, including the gray garden slug (Deroceras reticulatum), from feeding on agricultural and horticultural plants. The peptides can be combined with bait materials, or applied directly to plants or areas, or produced by genetically modified plants.

BEDBUG DETECTION, MONITORING AND CONTROL TECHNIQUES

One nonlimiting variation of a detection arrangement includes one or more sensors each structured to detect at least one biochemical substance indicative of biochemistry of one or more target insect species and provide a corresponding sensor signal, a controller responsive to the sensor signal of each of the one or more sensors to determine if the one or more insect species are present and generate a corresponding output signal, and an indicator responsive to the output signal to indicate the presence of the one or more insect species.
