SELECTIVE DETECTION OF BED BUGS

A device, system, and method of controlling pests are disclosed. A pest control device includes a sensor having a sensor cell and a controller. A surface of the sensor cell is coated with an agent that reacts with a targeted biochemical analyte secreted by pests. The controller is coupled to the sensor and is configured to receive sensor data from the sensor cell indicative of a rate of change in sensor mass detected on the surface of the sensor cell, determine whether the rate of change in the sensor mass based on the received sensor data exceeds a predefined threshold rate, and transmit a pest detection alert notification to a server in response to a determination that the rate of change exceeds the predetermined threshold rate.

Linkable Insect Repeller Station and Control System

An insect repeller system for installation as a fixed base unit or a plurality of linked units includes a repeller station and a mounting structure. A hub controller provides power for operation of the stations and command instructions to control the operation of the repeller station for emission of vaporized repellent fluid and/or lighting of the units.

NOVEL SYRINGE WITH A VALVE IN A HOUSING FOR MEASURING CHEMICALS

A highly accurate and efficient syringe with a valve in a housing has a hollow syringe with a barrel and a hollow tip, a port on the side of the barrel near the hollow tip, and a valve connected to the barrel by the housing, which has a mouth connected to the barrel and a bottle cap suitable for securing to a bottle. The valve is in fluid communication with the barrel through the port and in fluid communication with a bottle of chemicals through the bottle cap end of the housing. The syringe with a valve in a housing is adapted to precisely draw and measure chemicals from a bottle and to precisely dispense the chemicals without spills or drips.

Software Architecture and System for Delivering Selected Sanitation Protocols for Multiple Pathogens and Pests

A software architecture and system for delivering selected sanitation protocols for multiple pathogens and pests for sanitizing a physical space. The software architecture and system generally includes a plurality of protocol identifiers linked to sanitation protocols arranged as pages in a protocol storage. Each sanitation protocol comprises a plurality of parameters arranged in tabular form for carrying out a sanitation process for one or more pathogens and/or pests. Also included are a control panel/display, controller, heat source, UV light source, and sensors. The protocol identifiers are displayed on the control panel/display and the controller retrieves the parameters of a selected sanitation protocol from the protocol storage. The controller operates in a closed-loop control arrangement with the heat source, UV light source, and sensors to automatically carry out a sanitation process according to the parameters of the selected sanitation protocol.

APPARATUS FOR PRODUCING A STERILIZED ANIMAL POPULATION
20220001202 · 2022-01-06 ·

Apparatus for shielding a non-human animal from a sterilizant. The apparatus (100, 200) defines a space (102, 202) for accommodating a non-human animal (111, 204) and a shield (107, 201) for shielding a part of the animal from a sterilizant such as radiation. Only exposing a specific part of the animal to sterilizant produces a sterile animal which is better adapted to mate with other animals When the sterilized animals are released in a sterile insect technique, the technique is more efficient because the released animals are better adapted to mate with a wild population.

APPLICATOR FOR PESTICIDES

A product applicator assembly including a housing having a first end and a second end;

a dispensing force; a dispensing device operatively attached to the dispensing force; at least one power source; a dispensing switch operatively attached to the dispensing force; a data operator electrically connected to an electrical power source. Also provided is a bait applicator and a method of using the applicator to apply bait.

Volatile material dispensing system

A volatile material dispensing system (100) includes a base (104) and a refill (102) attached to the base (104). The refill (102) includes a substrate (108) having a volatile material thereon. The dispensing system (100) further includes a cover (106). In an inactive state, the refill (102) is compressed within the cover (106) and the cover (106) is attached to the base (104) and in an active state, the cover (106) is removed from the base and the refill (102) automatically expands such that the volatile material is released from the substrate (108) and into the ambient environment.

Systems and methods for molecule dispensing

A portable, heated scent, odor, and/or molecule dispense system is provided, as well as devices and methods for doing the same. The portable systems and methods to dispense molecules may contain a liquid, gel, solid, foam, or other material-based formulation so as to attract, repel, kill, mask, or otherwise use the molecules. The portable system and methods may include a housing; a molecule holding pad in the housing; a first chemical reaction heat source in the housing; and a second chemical reaction heat source in the housing, wherein the molecule holding pad is arranged between the first chemical reaction heat source and the second chemical reaction heat source, and wherein the first chemical reaction heat source and the second chemical reaction heat source are each reactive to oxygen.

DEVICE FOR EVAPORATING VOLATILE SUBSTANCES
20230320338 · 2023-10-12 · ·

The device for evaporating volatile substances comprises a porous mat (1) impregnated with volatile substances, a heating element (2) that heats the porous mat (1) for evaporating the volatile substances, and a reflective element (3) for reflecting the heat from the heating element (2) to said porous mat (1), wherein the reflective element (3) forms a cavity defined by a bottom and side walls where the porous mat (1) and the heating element (2) are placed.

Thanks to this feature, the reflective element reflects or redirects the heat radiation from the heating element back towards the porous mat where the volatile substances are impregnated, and the heat energy that is going away from the porous mat is reflected back to the porous mat, so that a heating element which consumes less energy can be used for the same evaporation capacity.
