Device for dispensing pesticides and/or parasiticides to rodents or other animals
A device for enclosing treated material impregnated with a pesticide and/or parasiticide and adapted for access by rodents or other targeted small animals includes a shell forming an enclosure to contain the treated material. The shell includes at least one entrance opening for accessing the enclosed treated material. Each entrance opening has a width less than a maximum inner width of the shell. The device may be formed completely of biodegradable material.
FLAMELESS ENERGIZER FOR TREATMENT AGENT
An energized assembly to enhance efficacy of a treatment agent in a local environment. The assembly includes an emanator or holder element to hold treatment agent, and a flameless energizing source to energize the treatment agent and thereby, place the treatment agent into an enhanced operational state. Preferred embodiments operate for a period of time of between about 4 and 8 hours, and can then be discarded. Typically, a housing associates the treatment agent and the energizing source. Embodiments may sometimes include one or more of: a gas-tight boundary element, a thermal transfer element, a trigger mechanism, a safety mechanism, a termination mechanism, a time-delay mechanism, solidized treatment agent to avoid spills, and a sequestering arrangement to avoid premature combination of reactants.
Eco-friendly hot steam soil sterilizer with soil shredder
Disclosed is a mechanical technology that kills parasitic pests, harmful bacteria and weed seeds in the soil by using high-temperature steam while moving forward by using a caterpillar with a self-powered device in order to smoothly perform the eco-friendly high-temperature steam soil disinfection in all types of soils, such as clays and sandy soils, having suitable moisture content; a mechanical technology in which the steam boiler is operated with power of an A/C generator to produce steam the steam is supplied to the re-heater installed on an upper portion of a nozzle through a high-pressure steam hose to increase the steam temperature to reheat the steam with high-temperature dry steam, thereby increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of high-temperature steam soil disinfection.
BIOACTIVE PEPTIDES HAVING DETRIMENTAL EFFECTS ON PEST SLUGS
Provided herein are synthetic peptides developed from slug and insect neuropeptides. Peptides described can be used to repel, control or deter slugs, including the gray garden slug (Deroceras reticulatum), from feeding on agricultural and horticultural plants. The peptides can be combined with bait materials, or applied directly to plants or areas, or produced by genetically modified plants.
Apparatus and Method for Applying Insecticide in Combination with Adhesive
An apparatus and method for capturing and killing ticks. In one embodiment a surface on a roller is coated with an adhesive combined with a compound of cedar oil, citronella oil and rosemary oil. When the roller surface of the apparatus is pressed against a tick, the tick adheres to the surface by the pressure-sensitive adhesive and is subsequently killed by the oil compound.

Fragrance nebulizer with drainage system
A device for generating a scented mist of an atomized liquid fragrance oil includes an atomizer complex, a reservoir assembly, a drainage tube, and a vacuum tube. The atomizer complex can atomize the liquid fragrance oil into a scented mist and deliver the scented mist to air outside of the atomizer complex, where the liquid fragrance oil the fragrance oil that is not atomized into the scented mist delivered to the air outside of the atomizer complex includes collected oil that is collected and drained to a reservoir assembly. A drainage tube extends from a bottom area of the atomizer complex into the liquid fragrance oil. The device can filter the liquid fragrance oil in the reservoir assembly and the collected oil from the atomizer complex that drained down the drainage tube. The vacuum tube can suction the filtered liquid fragrance oil and the collected oil into the atomizer complex for atomization.
ARTHROPOD TRAP AND EXTERMINATION METHOD
The present disclosure describes an apparatus, system, and method for trapping and exterminating arthropods, particularly red mites. The apparatus includes an opaque housing and a heat strip configured to have separate temperature zones. The method includes warming the heat strip to lure the mites into the trap, heating outer heat strip segments to drive the mites toward the center of the trap, and then raising the entire heat strip to a temperature sufficient to exterminate the mites. The system includes placing one or more of the traps in animal hold structures, including nesting boxes in poultry houses.
Methods for the control of arthropods using near-ideal gas phase hydrogen peroxide
The present disclosure relates to methods and devices for controlling arthropods, including insects and arachnids in an environment. The methods generally comprise: generating a near-ideal gas Purified Hydrogen Peroxide Gas (PHPG) that is substantially non-hydrated (e.g., in the form of water in solution or water in solution or water molecules bonded by covalence, van der Waals forces, or London forces) and substantially free of, e.g., ozone, plasma species, and/or organic species; and directing the gas comprising primarily PHPG into the environment such that the PHPG acts to control arachnids in the environment. In certain aspects, the arachnids may be totally or partially killed.
Method And System For Controlling And Communicating The Statuses Of Insect Bait Stations
A device for controlling at least one insect bait station (100), in particular for insects harmful to humans, animals and plants, in which the bait station is provided with: at least one container (3, 5) provided with an insect entrance opening, the container containing bait and being at least partially transparent or translucent, a lighting device (10) lighting the inside of the container but located outside same, a telecommunication module (23, 25) and a printed circuit comprising, inter alia, a memory and a processor connected to said telecommunication means. The device comprises an optical sensor essentially opposite the lighting device, and connected to the printed circuit (12), which measures the general opacity caused by the insect(s) in the container, the corresponding value being transmitted for processing and analysis of the status of the bait station.
