Dispensers and Methods of Use Thereof for Dispensing Solid Mosquito Larvicides and Other Materials of Interest
Dispenser devices suitable for use on unmanned aerial vehicles are described having utility for dispensing solid larvicides to difficult to reach insect habitats.
REFILL AND METHOD OF EMITTING TWO OR MORE COMPOSITIONS FROM A REFILL
A refill comprises, a container having a body forming a reservoir and an opening in communication with the reservoir, a first composition disposed within the reservoir, a second composition disposed within the reservoir and substantially separated from the first composition, a single wick in contact with the first and second compositions and configured to sequentially emit the first and second compositions. A method of emitting the first and second compositions includes the steps of emitting the first composition until the first composition is substantially depleted and emitting the second composition after the first composition is substantially depleted.
ANT BAIT STATIONS WITH ATTRACTANT VECTOR COMPARTMENT AND EASY OPENING
An ant bait station is formed as a stick pack having multiple compartments, wherein each of the compartments contain a bait for a target ant species, and includes a plurality of apertures to the respective compartments. Some or all of the baits may contain a pesticide, for example a borate. In at least one of the compartments containing a pesticide, the apertures are large enough to permit the target ants to enter and exit. In some embodiment a compartment contains a bait without a pesticide. This may improve performance if the non-pesticidal bait attracts ants to the trap, and the lack of pesticidal component extends the life of the attractant. The compartment containing the bait without a pesticide may have apertures that are too small to permit the ants from entering and exiting.
Grain pest control apparatus and method
A grain pest control apparatus includes an input unit adapted to accept input of grain; a heating unit adapted to heat the grain supplied from the input unit; and a removal unit adapted to remove heat from the grain heated by the heating unit, wherein the removal unit includes a cylindrical body provided with an air passage hole in a wall surface and adapted to receive the heated grain and a heat collecting chamber installed by surrounding the cylindrical body and connected to an exhaust channel, and removes heat from the heated grain by causing air supplied into the cylindrical body to pass through the air passage hole and escape via the heat collecting chamber.
Insect trap
An insect trap positioned directly under a furniture leg or post during use. The insect trap has a bottom portion with a groove positioned between an outer edge of the bottom portion and an inner element extending from the center of the bottom portion. The trap also has a distinct top portion having an opening extending through the entirety of the top portion. The top and bottom portion are removably attached to one another.

PEST DETECTION
A system (10) for remote detection of pests, in this case as applied to a domestic dwelling (11) where a base station (12) communicates with eight detector or monitor units (13). The dotted (lines (14) indicate wired or wireless communication between the units (13) and the base station (12). As used herein the expressions “monitor” and “detector” are used interchangeably or where the detector is used as part of a box or cartridge where the detector is part (and may be reusable and separable) the whole unit including the detector part may be referred to as a monitor.
FUEL CANISTER AND ADAPTER FOR INSECT REPELLENT DEVICE
A gas-fueled portable device for the thermal dispensing of volatile materials such as insect repellents is described. The device employs a pressure regulator to establish gas flow, heat generation, and dispensing temperature at pre-determined optimal values. The automatic operation at pre-determined settings provides simple on/off operation for the user of the device.
DEVICE FOR EVAPORATING VOLATILE SUBSTANCES
The invention relates to an evaporation device for evaporating volatile substances, comprising a container (1) housing a liquid (8) containing the volatile substances, an outlet (2) through which the volatile substances exit and a hole (9) for equalizing the pressure between the inside and the outside of the container, and characterized in that it also comprises a membrane (6) placed between the container (1) and the hole (9), said membrane (6) being leak-tight with respect to said liquid (8) and porous with respect to the gases.
This membrane prevents the liquid from accidentally spilling and furthermore solves the issue of balancing pressures inside the container, keeping the rate of evaporation constant until running out of the volatile substances.
