Fluid pressure-feed device
A fluid pressure-feed device includes a main tank and a sub tank. The sub tank is connected integrally with an upper portion of a main follower plate that applies pressurizing force to a urethane adhesive inside the main tank. A drum pump is provided in an upper portion of a sub follower plate provided in the sub tank. While the urethane adhesive is flowing into the sub tank from the main tank, the urethane adhesive is fed under pressure from the sub tank to a fluid passage by actuation of the drum pump. While the main tank is being replaced, the urethane adhesive inside the sub tank is fed under pressure to the fluid passage by the drum pump.
RECIPROCATING PUMP WITH INTERNAL VENTING
A lubricant pump includes a housing mountable to the upper end of a lubricant container and having a vertical central bore, an outlet passage extending between the central bore and an outlet port fluidly connectable with the lubricant distributor and a vent chamber having an inlet and an outlet. A vent inlet passage extends between the central bore and the vent chamber inlet and a vent outlet passage extends between the vent chamber outlet and a vent outlet port fluidly connectable with a container cavity. A movable valve element is disposed within the vent chamber and displaceable along an axis between a position in which the valve element obstructs the chamber inlet and/or the chamber outlet and a second position in which the chamber inlet is fluidly connected with the chamber outlet to provide an internal flow path from the central bore to the vent outlet port.
Push-out apparatus
A piston includes: a base body; a sealing ring provided at an outer peripheral surface of the base body and configured to slidingly contact an inner peripheral surface of a container; a pressing body provided at one side of the base body in a non-hermetical state with respect to the container, the one side being close to a fluid; and a supporting member supporting the pressing body in a state where the pressing body is separated from the base body. The base body includes an air discharge hole through which an inside and outside of the container communicate with each other, the inside and outside of the container being sealed by the sealing ring. The pressing body can approach and separate from the base body between a first position at which the pressing body opens the air discharge hole and a second position at which the pressing body closes the air discharge hole. The pressing body is supported by the supporting member at the first position and moves to the second position by force applied from the fluid in the container.
FLUID PRESSURE FEEDING DEVICE
A fluid pressure feeding device includes: a follower plate that is inserted into a tank, that applies a pressing force to a fluid, and that has an opening for pumping up the fluid from an inside of the tank; a pump having a primer plate configured to exhibit reciprocating movement to pump up the fluid in the tank into a pump internal space; and a position control unit configured to control a position of the primer plate within a range of the reciprocating movement. An outer shape of the primer plate substantially matches a shape of the opening of the follower plate, and the position control unit is configured such that the primer plate is positioned in the opening of the follower plate when the follower plate is taken out from the tank.
Barrel pump having a follower plate with an adjustable sealing ring
A method for conveying viscous material out of a barrel-like container open towards the top and having a bottom and a circumferential wall extending from bottom to top, uses a device having a follower plate for closing the container. The plate has a circumferential wiper ring having a radially outwardly protruding contact portion for contacting an inner container wall face facing the plate. A variable pressing force can be applied to press the contact portion against the inner face. The plate, following a decreasing material level and resting on the material surface, is moved bottomward, and, after the container is emptied, is moved away from the bottom, and the contact portion is pressed sealingly against the inner face while the plate moves bottomward. The sealing effect between the wiper ring and the container wall is suspended during plate movement away from the bottom by reducing the pressing force.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR TRANSFERRING VISCOUS MATERIAL
Disclosed is a device for pressurizing a viscous fluid contained in a drum, the device includes a follower plate vertically movable along a perpendicular axis passing through the center of the drum, the follower plate: is movable between a first position outside the drum and a second position inside the drum, to exert pressure on the viscous fluid; has a transfer port intended to be connected to a means of pumping capable of transferring the pressurized fluid. The device further includes an energy storage unit and restoration connected to the support system, the storage unit being capable of storing energy under the effect of the pressure exerted by the support system and of restoring it to the follower plate in order to maintain the viscous fluid under pressure.
DRUM HEATER ASSEMBLY
A drum heater assembly includes an inner body defining a cylindrical interior space shaped to receive a drum containing a material in the drum, and an elongated heating panels coupled to exterior surfaces of the inner body. The heating panels include heating elements configured to generate heat toward the interior space. The drum heater assembly also includes outer doors coupled with the heating panels such that the heating panels are disposed between the outer doors and the inner body. The inner body is configured to open to remove the drum and insert another drum into the interior space for heating by the heating panels.
Device for sealing and evacuating a container containing a paste-like liquid
A follower plate device for sealing and evacuating a container that has a cylindrical inner contour and contains a particularly paste-like liquid. The device comprises a seal arranged on a periphery of the device and designed so as to be able to be inserted into the cylindrical inner contour of the container such that it seals around the periphery, and marking the boundary between an outer side of the device and an inner side of the device, and a line extending through from the inner side to the outer side of the follower plate device, arranged on the outer side for connecting to a line connection leading further to an evacuation pump. The follower plate device further comprises a replaceable open-pored porous component through which the line is guided.
Emptying device for viscous materials and method for same
In order to prevent the material (52) from being pressed through the press plate seal between press plate (2) and surrounding barrel (50) by means of a press plate (2) when emptying a barrel (50) in which viscous material (52) is supplied, a two-stage construction is used in accordance with the invention: A press cylinder (22) is connected to the rear side of the press plate (2), in which in turn a conveying piston (24) is guided in a sealing manner, which in turn has a smaller end face than the press plate (2). In addition, non-return valves (19) are arranged in the press plate (2) in the region radially inside the press cylinder (22), which allow the material (52) to flow only in the direction of the conveying piston (24), but not vice versa, when the press plate (2) is pressed in the direction to the bottom (50a) of the barrel (50). After the press plate (2) has come to a standstill, the conveying piston (24) can thus be guided in the direction of the bottom of the press cylinder (22), i.e. in the direction of the press plate (2), and the material (52) can thereby be pressed through the conveying piston (24) into the conveyer line (4) with a pressure, which can also be significantly higher than the maximum pressure with which the press plate seal between the press plate (2) and the inner circumference of the barrel (50) may be pressurised, which, however, does not pose a problem for the much more accurate press cylinder seal between the conveying piston (24) and the press cylinder (22).

The follow-up plate has an underside and at least an outlet opening arranged in the follow-up plate for connection with the conveyor line. On the underside several downwardly projecting projections are arranged around the outlet opening which are configured to be immersed in the pasty mass. At least one of the projections is formed as a rib extending radially outwards along the underside of the follow-up plate.
