A container assembly includes a flexible bag having an interior surface bounding a chamber and an opposing exterior surface, the bag having a bottom end wall being comprised of a first sheet overlying a second sheet, the first sheet and the second sheet of the bottom end wall being welded together so as to form a first sparging area and a separated second sparging area that are both bounded between the first sheet and the second sheet, at least a portion of the first sheet overlying the first and second sparging areas being gas permeable.

Container with film sparger

A container assembly includes a flexible bag having an interior surface bounding a chamber and an opposing exterior surface, the bag having a top end wall, a bottom end wall, and an encircling sidewall extending therebetween, the bottom end wall including a first polymeric sheet overlying a second polymeric sheet. A first weld line welds the first polymeric sheet to the second polymeric sheet, the first weld line bounding a first sparging area formed between the first polymeric sheet and the second polymeric sheet. A plurality of first perforations are formed through a portion of the first polymeric sheet that overlies the first sparging area so that gas can pass from the first sparging area, through the first perforations and into the chamber of the bag.

The present invention is a composting bioreactor system that can be continually fed with biodegradable solid wastes, waste waters and exhaust gases, that can automatically recycle the biodegradable wastes into liquid nutrients and heat energy, and that automatically supplies the nutritious liquid and heat into the integrated hydroponics system or aquaponics system. The invention together with the integrated food growing system can be installed onsite in places such as household balconies, household backyards and premises of restaurants and food factories etc. therefore can lead to zero mileage targets both for recycling the wastes and for growing the foods consumed in the same location. It can fully recover and reuse all the nutrients and heat energy from the treated wastes. It can also reach the target of nearly zero pollution to the environment during all processes. For better operational efficiency, an oblique cone agitator, a fish plow agitator and a vortex flower turbine are specially designed for the bioreactor system.

Mixing systems and methods of mixing

A system for mixing and mixing processes and structures are disclosed. In addition a nozzle used for mixing is disclosed.

Air-powered water circulation systems for ponds, lakes, municipal water tanks, and other bodies of water

An air-powered water circulation system for ponds, lakes, municipal water tanks, and other bodies of water having a draft tube extending along and about a vertical axis between upper and lower end portions and supported by a flotation arrangement with the upper end portion slightly below the water surface. A pneumatic, air flow arrangement is then provided to supply pressurized air from an aft pump to a plurality of submerged air pipes positioned within the draft tube below the upper end portion thereof and extending inwardly from a submerged manifold toward the interior of the draft tube. In operation, pressurized air is supplied from the air pump through an air delivery conduit to the submerged air manifold and into the submerged air pipes where it is discharged as air bubbles through series of discharge holes extending along the pipes to create an overall circulation pattern in the body of water.

Assembly bracket and mounting system for aeration element

An aeration element for gasification or aeration of liquids includes an essentially flattened, rigid support element having a substantially oval cross-section and corrugated outer surfaces, the corrugated outer surfaces including ridges defining grooves therebetween; a threaded opening for receiving a cooperating fitting for connection to an air supply; and a flexible membrane of elastomeric material disposed around the support element. An assembly bracket includes upper and portions that can be cooperatingly attached to one another about the aeration element for securing the aeration element to a floor of a tank or pool. The assembly bracket includes through-going passages for enabling water to circulate around the bracket and reduce buoyancy of the assembly. Two aeration elements of shorter lengths can be positioned adjacent two one another, secured within assembly brackets, and connected at adjacent ends, so that one of the aeration elements functions as a conduit to the other aeration element when air is supplied into one of the aeration elements.

Multiple Submergence Depth Diffused Air System and Methods of Diffusing Air

A multiple submergence depth diffused air system includes: a vessel having a non-flat bottom floor and fluid; a single blower or compressor that provides a single mass flow and a single pressure discharge of air; a plurality of air distribution lines that extend from the single blower or compressor into the fluid, in which outlets of the plurality of air distribution lines have grids with air diffuser units for distributing air; and orifice plates associated with each air distribution line. At least some of the air distribution lines extend to different depths within the fluid and at least one of the air distribution lines extend into the fluid formed in the non-flat bottom floor of the vessel. The orifice plates can also be sized and configured to produce a unique pressure head for each air distribution line at a designated mass flow of air to the respective air distribution line.

Aeration system with flexible hose couplings

Embodiments disclosed herein provide systems and methods for water aeration in a tank or other body of water that a specialized coupling assembly and flexible hose connectors rather than the commonly used rigid connector elements. The coupling assembly and flexible hose connectors utilized in the aeration grid system provide a more cost effective and flexible system that allows almost limitless configurations of the diffuser elements, depending on the intended application. Further, the coupling assembly and flexible hose connectors enable use with a wide variety of air supply pipe diameters without the necessity of providing a fitting or adapter for each pipe opening. The capability of the aeration system to be readily adapted to different sizes of treatment tanks or ponds, for example, allows the installation and use of a more flexible, prefabricated, or modular, and ultimately more efficient aeration system.
