Mixing element for a static mixer
A mixing element for a static mixer for installation into a tubular mixer housing has a longitudinal axis along which at least one first and one second installation body are arranged behind one another. An inlet element is provided which is arranged upstream of the first installation body, wherein the inlet element and the first installation body are connected to one another via a connection element. The inlet element has a body which can be sealingly taken up at the peripheral side in the mixer housing. The body has a first inlet passage and a second inlet passage, wherein the first inlet passage has a first entry opening and a first exit opening, wherein the second inlet passage has a second entry opening and a second exit opening so that the corresponding component can be conducted through the corresponding inlet passage.
Micro-fluidic mixer and method of determining pathogen inactivation via antimicrobial solutions
A sample of produce wash water containing an antimicrobial sanitizer fluid, and a reference pathogen fluid are both injected into a pathogen inactivation region of a micro-fluidic mixer. The produce wash water (i.e. sanitizer fluid/pathogen fluid mix) is directed through mixer elements in the pathogen inactivation region of the micro-fluidic mixer. In the sanitizer deactivation region, a sanitizer deactivation solution is added to the sanitizer fluid/pathogen fluid mix to produce a deactivated solution. The deactivated solution is evaluated for the presence of the pathogen and the characteristics of the sanitizer. In the preferred embodiment, the sanitizer comprises chlorine and the pathogen comprises E. coli bacteria.
Apparatus and Method for Formulation and Dispensing of Visually Customized Cosmetics
A portioning machine for providing a custom cosmetic includes a mixer having a mixing chamber and also accommodates a plurality of dispensers having outlets that are directly coupled to the mixing chamber. In one embodiment, the portioning machine includes a plurality of slots, where each slot is configured to receive an assembly having at least one dispenser. In another embodiment, the portioning machine includes a slot configured to receive an assembly having a plurality of dispensers. Each dispenser is associated with an actuator, and the portioning machine includes a portioning processor configured to control the actuators to dispense additives from selected dispensers into the mixing chamber in accordance with a target set of additive ratios to produce the custom cosmetic.
STATIC MIXING DEVICES AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE
A static mixing device subassembly that can be joined with other static mixing device subassemblies to form a static mixing device. The subassembly comprises a first pair of intersecting grids of spaced-apart and parallel deflector blades and a second pair of intersecting grids of spaced-apart and parallel deflector blades. The deflector blades in each one of the grids are interleaved with the deflector blades in the paired intersecting grid and have uncut side portions that join them together along a transverse strip where the deflector blades cross each other and cut side portions that extend from the uncut side portions to the ends of the deflector blades. Each of the deflector blades in one of the grids in each pair of grids has a bent portion that places segments of the deflector blade on opposite sides of the uncut portion in offset parallel planes. Some or all of the deflector blades in the other one of the grids in one of the pairs of grids has uncut ends that are interconnected with uncut ends of deflector blades in the other one of the grids in the other one of the pairs of grids along a reverse bend that aligns one of the pairs of grids with the other pair of grids.
STATIC MIXER WITHOUT MIXING BAFFLE SIDEWALLS AND ASSOCIATED MIXING CONDUIT
A static mixer for mixing a flow of two or more fluids is disclosed. The static mixer includes a mixing conduit that defines a mixing passage, and a mixing element configured to be received by the mixing passage that includes at least two mixing baffles. Each of the at least two mixing baffles comprises a plurality panels that are configured to divide and mix the fluid as the fluid flows through the mixing passage. No continuous sidewalls extend between the at least two mixing baffles, and the mixing element is tapered along a longitudinal direction.
HOLLOW CHAMBER X-MIXER HEAT EXCHANGER
A mixer heat exchanger insert or mixer heat exchanger insert arrangement, and a mixer heat exchanger with a corresponding mixer heat exchanger insert arrangement, which have improved mixing and temperature-control behavior, and have a reduced fouling tendency.
SYSTEM AND PROCESS FOR TREATING ALKALINE WASTEWATER
A system for treating alkaline wastewater includes a first conduit and a second conduit. The first conduit has a first conduit inlet end for receiving alkaline wastewater, a first conduit outlet end for discharging primary treated wastewater, a first conduit upstream portion adjacent the first conduit inlet end, and a first conduit downstream portion adjacent the first conduit outlet end. A first static mixer is in the first conduit. The second conduit has a second conduit inlet end in communication with the first conduit outlet end for receiving the primary treated wastewater, a second conduit outlet end for discharging secondary treated wastewater, a second conduit upstream portion adjacent the second conduit inlet end, and a second conduit downstream portion adjacent the second conduit outlet end. A second static mixer is in the second conduit. A citric acid source is in communication with the first conduit and the second conduit.
Static mixer
A static mixer for mixing exhaust gases to be supplied to a selective catalytic reduction device located at the back of a boiler, includes a gas accommodation part having a first inlet and a plurality of second inlets partitioned from each other to introduce gases having different temperatures thereinto so that the gases introduced through the first inlet and the plurality of second inlets flow to a plurality of divided sections. A discharge part is provided that communicates with the gas accommodation part to collect and discharge the gases and a mixing plate part is provided, which has a plurality of unit plates disposed on the upper and lower portions of a hollow portion of the discharge part in such a manner as to have a given angle with respect to the directions of the gases discharged.
