ALKANE ACTIVATION WITH SINGLE AND BI-METALLIC CATALYSTS
Methods, compositions, and articles of manufacture for alkane activation with single- or bi-metallic catalysts on crystalline mixed oxide supports.
Catalyst for preparing cumene and use thereof
Provided is a catalyst for preparing cumene and use thereof. The catalyst provided includes a carrier and an active ingredient. The active ingredient includes: ingredient (1), which is palladium element; and ingredient (2), which is one or more selected from a group consisting of alkali metal elements, alkaline earth metals and molybdenum element. When the catalyst is used for preparing cumene by -methyl styrene hydrogenation, AMS conversion rate is high, and a product cumene has high selectivity.
Catalyst for ethane ODH
A catalyst for oxidative dehydrogenation (ODH) of ethane with an empirical formula MoVTeNbPdO produced using a process comprising impregnation of the Pd component on the surface of the catalyst following a calcination step using a Pd compound free of halogens. The resulting catalyst can be used in both diluted and undiluted ODH processes and shows higher than expected activity without any loss of selectivity.
Catalyst and process for nitric oxide reduction in a waste gas
In order to improve the lifetime of an SCR catalyst in the waste gas purification by means of the SCR process of waste gas of a biomass combustion plant, the catalyst comprises a sacrificial component selected from a zeolite and/or a clay mineral, in particular halloysite. During operation, catalyst poisons contained in the waste gas, in particular alkali metals, are absorbed by the sacrificial component so that catalytically active centers of the catalyst are not blocked by the catalyst poisons.
Complex comprising ODH unit with integrated oxygen separation module
Oxidative dehydrogenation is an alternative to the energy extensive steam cracking process presently used for the production of olefins from paraffins, but has not been implemented commercially partially due to the unstable nature of hydrocarbon/oxygen mixtures, and partially due to the cost involved in the construction of new facilities. An oxidative dehydrogenation chemical complex designed to reduce costs by including integration of an oxygen separation module that also addresses safety concerns and reduces emission of greenhouse gases is described.
Selective oxidation catalyst and a method for oxidizing C.SUB.2 .hydrocarbons in the presence of the selective oxidation catalyst
Methods of producing a catalyst for oxidation of C.sub.2 hydrocarbons and methods of using the catalyst are disclosed. Molybdenum, vanadium, and niobium metal or metal containing compounds are used to form a slurry in water. After agitating the slurry for at least 15 minutes, palladium or a palladium containing compound is added to the slurry. After further agitation, a precipitate is collected, dried and calcined to obtain an active catalyst, with palladium primarily distributed on a surface of the catalyst. The active catalyst is capable of catalyzing the conversion of C.sub.2 hydrocarbons into acetic acid.
HYDROCARBON CONVERSION PROCESS
The present invention relates to a hydrocarbon conversion process comprising contacting a hydrocarbon feed stream with a hydrocarbon conversion catalyst, wherein the hydrocarbon conversion catalyst comprises a first composition comprising a dehydrogenation drogenation active metal on a solid support; and a second composition comprising a transition metal and a doping agent on an inorganic support, wherein the doping agent is selected from zinc, gallium, indium, lanthanum, and mixtures thereof.
Solid catalysts for producing alcohols and methods of making the same
An aspect of the present disclosure is a catalyst that includes a solid support, a first metal that includes at least one of ruthenium (Ru), platinum (Pt), palladium (Pd) deposited on the solid support, and a second metal comprising at least one of tin (Sn), rhenium (Re), cobalt (Co), molybdenum (Mo), or tungsten (W) deposited on the solid support, where the first metal and the second metal are present at a first metal to second metal mass ratio between about 1.0:2.0 and about 1.0:0.5.
Catalyst and hydrocarbon conversion process utilizing the catalyst
The present invention relates to a hydrocarbon conversion catalyst comprising i) a catalyst, in oxidic form, metals M1, M2, M3 and M4, wherein: M1 is selected from Si, Al, Zr, and mixtures thereof; M2 is selected from Pt, Cr, and mixtures thereof; M3 is selected from W, Mo, Re and mixtures thereof; M4 is selected from Sn, K, Y, Yb and mixtures thereof; and ii) a hydrogen scavenger selected from at least one alkali and/or alkaline earth metal derivative, preferably in metallic, hydride, salt, complex or alloy form; as well as a hydrocarbon conversion process utilizing this catalyst.
