PORTABLE DEVICE FOR MANUFACTURE OF PROTEIN-BASED DRUGS AND LABORATORY REAGENTS AND RELATED METHODS
There are provided devices and methods for automated production of a purified target biomolecular product. The device can be portable, and can include a purification compartment, a wash buffer compartment, an elution buffer compartment, fluidic channels, a fluidic system and a processor powerable by a power source and operatively connected to the fluidic system for controlling the automated production of the purified target biomolecular product. The purification compartment can be configured to contain purification components and receive a raw biomolecular products mixture therein for binding a target biomolecular product and produce the purified target biomolecular product. The fluidic channels can be configured to successively introduce the raw biomolecular products mixture, a washing buffer and an elution buffer into the purification compartment.
Separation of liquid in droplets and sedimented material enclosed therein
The invention relates to methods for drawing-off liquid from individual droplets which are in a predefined arrangement on a flat substrate and have sedimented material enclosed in them. A mask of an absorbent material comprising a pattern of indentations or holes which corresponds at least partially to the regular arrangement of the individual droplets, or a stiff, rigid plate of an absorbent material is positioned above the flat substrate in such a way that the droplets come into contact with the absorbent material peripherally so that liquid is drawn off there-into. The invention also relates to a mask of an absorbent material with a substantially rectangular shape which has a predefined pattern of indentations or holes for the purpose of separating liquid and sedimented material enclosed therein.
A VERSATILE METHOD FOR THE DETECTION OF MARKER-FREE PRECISION GENOME EDITING AND GENETIC VARIATION
The present disclosure provides, inter alia, specially designed DNA adaptors and methods of preparing the same. Methods and kits for carrying out and detecting marker-free precision genome editing and genetic variation using such adaptors are also provided.
MODULAR POINT-OF-CARE DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND USES THEREOF
The present invention provides devices and systems for use at the point of care. The methods devices of the invention are directed toward automatic detection of analytes in a bodily fluid. The components of the device are modular to allow for flexibility and robustness of use with the disclosed methods for a variety of medical applications.
Automated Modular System and Method for Production of Biopolymers
The present invention provides an automated modular system and method for production of biopolymers including DNA and RNA. The system and method automates the complete production process for biopolymers. Modular equipment is provided for performing production steps with the individual modules arrange in a linear array. Each module includes a control system and can be rack mounted. One side of the array of modules provides connections for power, gas, vacuum and reagents and is accessible to technicians. On the other side of the array of modules a robotic transport system is provided for transporting materials between module interfaces. The elimination of the requirement for human intervention at multiple steps in the production process significantly decreases the costs of biopolymer production and reduces unnecessary complexity and sources of quality variation.
Multi-Z imaging and dispensing with multi-well devices
Provided are methods, devices, assemblies, and systems for dispensing into the wells of a multi-well device and imaging such wells from multiple Z-planes. Multi-Z imaging of the present methods and systems may allow for the detection of wells of a multi-well device that contain a desired number of cells. Also provided are methods, devices, assemblies, and systems for processing cell-containing wells of a multi-well device identified through the use of multi-Z imaging.

HIGH THROUGHPUT METHOD FOR CONSTRUCTING AND SCREENING COMPOUND LIBRARY AND REACTION DEVICE
The present invention provides a high throughput method for constructing and screening a compound library and a reaction device. Specifically, the method of the present invention comprises: (a) providing a reactor comprising n independent and addressable reaction chambers; (b) performing m independent synthesis reactions in said n reaction chambers, thereby constructing a compound library; and (c) performing activity tests in reaction chambers in which synthesis reactions are performed. In the present invention, the preparation and screening processes of a compound can be completed in the same reaction system. As the reactions of the present invention almost quantitatively generate products, the products can be directly used in enzymatic or even cytological activity test experiments without separation.
Systems and methods to enhance consistency of assay performance
Systems and methods are disclosed for enhancing the consistency of performance of assays, such as multiplexed assays, by printing features in a particular pattern, such that the outer edge of the pattern has a shape that is substantially similar to the shape of the test well. For example, the pattern is a ring pattern, such that the outer edge of the ring pattern is circular or oval along the bottom of multiplexed wells. The assay substrates prepared according to the methods described result in more accurate, precise, and sensitive chemical and/or biological analyses.
MEANS AND METHODS FOR LYSING BIOLOGICAL CELLS
The present invention relates to a device comprising or consisting of: (a) a vessel; (b) a magnet inside said vessel; (c) means to trigger movement of said magnet with acoustic to ultrasonic frequency, preferably ultrasonic frequencies.
