PIPELINE PIG WITH RETRACTABLE SCRAPER
Systems and methods for cleaning an internal bore of a tubular member with a pipeline pig include a pipeline pig having a pig body with a fore end and an aft end opposite the fore end. A cup circumscribes the pig body, where an outer diameter lip of the cup engages a surface of the internal bore of the tubular member. A scraper assembly includes a scraper arm extending radially outward from the pig body and a spring biasing the scraper arm in a radially outward direction. A load cell is positioned to measure a movement of the scraper arm in a radially inward direction. A treatment trigger is actuated by a treatment signal from the load cell to deliver a treatment system to the internal bore of the tubular member, where the treatment signal is generated by the movement of the scraper arm in the radially inward direction.
Cleaning Coke Deposits from Process Equipment
A method for cleaning a coke deposit from an internal surface of a process equipment, comprising removing at least a portion of the coke deposit from the internal surface using a flexible pig comprising a plurality of bristles, without damaging a metal protective layer of the internal surface of the process equipment. A flexible pig for cleaning a coke deposit from an internal surface of a process equipment without damaging a metal protective layer of the internal surface, comprising a flexible body formed of a polymeric material, and a plurality of bristles partially encapsulated by the polymeric material of the flexible body.

INTRA-PIPE TURBINE BLAST SYSTEM
The object of the invention is to provide a device which can, with high efficiency, polish and clean the inner surface of a pipe, dry the wet inner surface of the pipe, and perform coating, wherein the device does not require a large pump or a large motive force, and does not require a blast hose or a suction hose. More specifically, provided is an intra-pipe turbine blast system that moves along the inside of a pipe and performs work by spraying a fluid toward the inside of the pipe, wherein: a gas injected from a fluid supply device to the upstream-side end inside the pipe imparts speed to a mixed phase fluid consisting of a liquid and solid particles which are likewise injected into the pipe; the flow speed of the mixed phase fluid is set to 3 m per second which is the critical speed at which solid particles can float without precipitating in the liquid, and as a result of such setting, there is a great effect on reducing the energy required for causing the mixed phase fluid to move; and the mixed phase fluid with such setting is injected at a high speed from a rotation nozzle of a turbine crawler which moves inside the pipe, thereby polishing the inner surface of the pipe, and following the polishing work, the turbine crawler can clean, dry and coat the inner surface of the pipe.
Multi-Diameter Foam Pig
Embodiments of a multi-diameter foam pig include a first set of radially spaced-apart, longitudinally extending, slots located toward a nose end of the pig and a second set of radially spaced-apart, longitudinally extending, slots located toward a tail end. Each set of slots ends at a band section of the pig so that, together, the two sets of slots do not traverse the entire length of the pig. A standard -length unit version of the foam pig includes only the first set of slots. A set of shorter, intermediate slots, offset in a circumferential direction from the first and second set of slots and partially overlapping those slots, may be included on the band section. Because of the slots, and because of open cell foam, the foam pig decreases or increases in diameter as it enters a different diameter run than the run just traveled.
CONDUIT PIG
An annular seal for a conduit pig includes an annular diaphragm and a separate lead support structure. The annular diaphragm is devoid of internal supports and therefore quite flexible. However, the lead support structure supports the annular diaphragm such that a piston effect can be generated through the annular seal. A brush portion for a conduit pig may include forwardly raked bristles.
Local vacuum method for advancing a pipeline remediation pig
A method assisting the movement of a tool within a pipeline to a distal direction with respect to the point of entry to provide remediation within the pipeline by pumping a volume of fluid into the front of tool through a motor and having the motor drive a pump which removes more volume from the front of the pig than was pumped into it, thereby causing a relative vacuum in front of the tool.
Variable speed pipeline pig with internal flow cavity
Embodiments provide a housing defining a trailing end, a leading end and longitudinal axis extending therebetween, at least one relief channel extending longitudinally through the housing between the trailing end and the leading end thereof, the at least one relief channel defining an annular wall, a closure member disposed within the annular wall, the closure member operable to engage a first seat to prohibit fluid flow through the relief channel and operable to disengage the first seat to permit fluid flow through the relief channel, and an annular space defined between the closure member and the annular wall, the annular space exhibiting a smaller cross-section than regions of relief channel upstream and downstream of the closure member such that the annular space represents a constriction for fluid flow and the relief channel defines a venturi.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR RECOVERING AND DISPLACING FLUID FROM A PIPE
In one aspect, the present invention relates to a method for displacing fluid from a pipe. The method includes engaging a fluid-displacement system with the pipe. A displacement agent is pumped into the pipe via the fluid-displacement system. Fluid present within the pipe is displaced by the displacement agent. The pipe is manipulated in a desired manner.
METHOD AND CLEAN-IN-PLACE SYSTEM FOR CONVEYING TUBES
In a tube cleaning system and method, multiple steps can be run with a single pass by using a combination pig train. For example, an initial combination pig train may include a plurality of bristle pigs and polymer trailing pigs with a cleaning solution between each pair. One example is a first leading bristle pig and a first trailing polymer pig containing a first slug of caustic cleaning solution followed by a second bristle pig and second polymer trailing pig containing a second slug of caustic cleaning solution. Another example is a leading bristle pig, a middle bristle pig, and a trailing polymer pig with a cleaning composition disposed between the leading and middle bristle pigs and a cleaning composition disposed between the middle bristle pig and the trailing pig. Such combination pig trains are moved through the tube to be cleaned in a single pass to achieve two cleaning steps.
