20200100539 · 2020-04-02 ·

Various embodiments and variations of the present disclosure are related to smokable products and methods of preparing smokable products.

Smoking article assembly with a fitted tube

A smoking article assembly (100) comprising a smoking article (80), and a tube (10) for temporary affixment to the smoking article. The smoking article comprises a tobacco rod, and a mouthpiece comprising a filter and a tipping wrapper, the tipping wrapper circumscribing the filter and attaching the filter to the tobacco rod. The tube is configured to be disposed around at least a portion of the mouthpiece such that the tube is slidable over the outer surface of the tipping wrapper. The tube comprises an open upstream end; an open downstream end; an outer surface; and an inner surface defining a lumen for receiving the mouthpiece of the smoking article, the lumen extending from the open upstream end to the open downstream end. The coefficient of static friction between the inner surface of the tube and the outer surface of the tipping wrapper may be between about 0.5 and about 0.9. The lumen may be substantially cylindrical and have a diameter that is between one percent and four percent greater than the average diameter of the smoking article mouthpiece.

HEAT-NOT-BURN FLAVOR INHALATION ARTICLE AND HEAT-NOT-BURN FLAVOR INHALATION PRODUCT

Provided is a heat-not-burn flavor inhalation article that is to be used with an electric heating device that comprises an inductor for electromagnetic induction heating. The heat-not-burn flavor inhalation article comprises: a flavor generation segment filler that includes an aerosol base material; a flavor generation segment that includes a plate-shaped susceptor for electromagnetic induction heating the flavor generation segment filler; and a mouthpiece segment for inhaling a flavor component. The compressive change rate of the flavor generation segment and the mouthpiece segment as measured in accordance with a specific compressive change rate measurement method by pressing an airflow-direction center part of each segment is at least 70%.

Aerosol-generating article

Provided is an aerosol generating article including a filter segment in which a channel is formed, the aerosol generating article including: a front-end filter segment arranged at an upstream end that is to be inserted into an aerosol generating device; a rear-end filter segment arranged at a downstream end that is to contact a mouth of a user; and a tobacco rod arranged between the front-end filter segment and the rear-end filter segment, wherein at least one filter segment of the front-end filter segment and the rear-end filter segment includes: at least one channel extending from the upstream end toward the downstream end; and a filter structure filtering out some components of aerosol, and wherein the at least one filter segment has a suction resistance corresponding to a ratio between a cross-sectional area of the at least one channel and a cross-sectional area of the filter structure.

A backing with corrugations on a first surface. The corrugations are parallel and each has an airspace along an entire longitudinal length. A second surface of the backing includes perforations or scores oriented perpendicularly or parallel to the corrugations. The corrugations or scores are fold lines or frangible tear lines. The airspaces may also include a filter material. The second surface of the backing may be adhered to a corner of a rolling paper on the surface but opposite edge as a gum strip. The corrugations are parallel to the gum strip.

AEROSOL GENERATION DEVICE HAVING SMOKELESS FUNCTION AND AEROSOL-GENERATING ARTICLE USED THEREWITH
20240032587 · 2024-02-01 · ·

An aerosol generation device having a smokeless function and an aerosol-generating article used therewith are provided. The aerosol-generating article according to some embodiments of the present disclosure may include a tobacco rod which includes a first filter segment, a second filter segment, and a cavity segment. Here, the cavity segment may be filled with tobacco granules. Since content of moisture and/or content of an aerosol-forming agent in the tobacco granules is lower than that in other types of tobacco materials, generation of visible smoke can be significantly reduced. Also, accordingly, the smokeless function of the aerosol generation device can be easily implemented.

NON-COMBUSTION HEATING TYPE FLAVOR INHALER

A non-combustion heating type flavor inhaler according to the present invention is provided with: an electrical heating type device provided with an inductor for electromagnetic induction heating; and a non-combustion heating type flavor inhalation article. The electrical heating type device is provided with the inductor for electromagnetic induction heating, a power source that supplies operation power to the inductor, a control unit for controlling the inductor, and a heating chamber into which the non-combustion heating type flavor inhalation article can be inserted via an insertion slot. At least two protrusions for securing the non-combustion heating type flavor inhalation article that has been inserted into the chamber are provided on side walls that form the cavity of the chamber, and the height of these protrusions from the side walls is 0.3-2.0 mm, inclusive. The non-combustion heating type flavor inhalation article is such that the compression change rate of each segment, as measured by pressing the airflow-direction central part thereof against a flavor-generating segment and a mouthpiece segment, is 70% or greater.

CELLULOSE ACETATE TOW, FILTER INCLUDING THE SAME, AND AEROSOL GENERATING ARTICLE INCLUDING THE FILTER

One or more embodiments relate to a cellulose acetate tow, a filter including the same, and an aerosol generating article including the filter.

SMOKING ARTICLE AND AEROSOL-GENERATING SYSTEM

A smoking article according to an example embodiment include a medium receiver filled with a plurality of medium granules, a humectant receiver located on one side of the medium receiver and configured to generate an aerosol, and a filter located on the other side of the medium receiver. The plurality of medium granules are 0.25 mm or more in diameter.

TOBACCO SHEET FOR NON-COMBUSTION HEATING TYPE FLAVOR INHALERS AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME, NON-COMBUSTION HEATING TYPE FLAVOR INHALER, AND NON-COMBUSTION HEATING TYPE FLAVOR INHALATION SYSTEM

Provided is a tobacco sheet for non-combustion heating type flavor inhalers, which has high bulkiness. The tobacco sheet for non-combustion heating type flavor inhalers contains a tobacco raw material, in which the cross-sectional surface of the tobacco sheet when observed in the direction of thickness of the tobacco sheet has a corrugated shape.
